I love the greenery. I did that as a statement decor piece in my daughter's room above her headboard. I also bought fake flowers and added them, they stick right on if you push them onto the little tabs that the greenery is stuck onto. We also got her name in a neon sign and added that to it. We just zip-tied it to the panel and then the cord hangs down behind it so you can't see the cord. Also, you can't tell that it is patchy, but if there are any bare spots that bother you, you could pull the little greenery pieces off the backing of the extras and add them in to fill in the spaces.

I think the red pen controversy is silly. I happen to use purple because it’s my preference. Red is just another color 🤷🏻♀️
I'm not allowed to use any other colour than red while grading papers. Well, green can be used to highlight positive elements. But that's it.
I think it is kinda silly too! I have been known to grade in purple somtimes too 😊
I even write my positive comments in red haha
I agree with you regarding the red pens. Unfortunately, my school forbids us from using them.

Hi Katie,
You could hang some flower fairy lights around your greenery area, also your beautiful name apple I would personally offset it to one of the upper corners but so it's still surrounded by greenery leaves. You could add to it with local insects. They could be a great talking point and spark interest into looking at and after the environment.

Woahhh Michelle Emerson's school theme has to do with plants and gardening she said... And she got blue and pink tape to differentiate her two groups... If she wasn't in Texas, I would guess you are both at the same school !!!

I like to use purple ink for “grading” in kindergarten. 😊

Love your room! Where did you get the wire rack that holds the crates?
It's actually from a retiring teachers garage sale years ago! Closest I have heard to one is someone said it's like a newspaper wire rack? I've never been able to find it to link.
I tried green pens for grading last year, didn´t like it. This year will be grading again with red pen.
Just feels weird if it's not red hahaha
Is there something you can spray on those paper Pom Pom’s to keep them from fading out throughout the years
With the greenery you could do the lights or flowers to add to it or a light up sign to put in the middle
