If you can find a good position for it, it can rack-up insane kills. It has so much ammo and will just keep smashing them with rockets for ages. Excellent stratagem. That being said, A tier feels fair because it’s not great on maps with short sight lines
One thing that is worth mentioning about the shield pack is the synergy it has with weapons with a charge up. Very good for preventing missed shots from flinching.

There are quite a bit of places that you can bottleneck bots into for the Tesla tower, and it can do a great job. On higher difficulties it mainly gets blown up by the rocket guys - but placed in the right area it does a great job. I’ll throw it into a bot camp for a distraction while we take out factories and sneak over to the places you need to place hellbombs Rocket sentry is AMAZING And that EMS mortar is so much more helpful than I thought it would be. Place it far away so it doesn’t get touched, and it stuns SO many things. And then at extraction, drop it right next to you so it can slow the oncoming scum for you to get those sweet sweet headshots
I love the Airburst launcher and gas strike. Both work well for me. Bot drops it works well. In my experience soldiers, striders, devestors are dead. Tanks, hulks and gunships it struggles against them. But I can be on the castle defense mission or in general wipe everything out except hulks and tanks. Then usually by then my team mates or stratgrems has either engaged or killed the heavy targets. The only people I kill is myself very rarely trying to shoot it over rocks and it clips the rocks and explodes in your face. But after you learn how to use it. It's pretty good.
Not to mention bots are pretty immobile. They’ll slowly march toward you and leave themselves exposed to gas far too long. Dump it behind you and nothing but Berserkers and heavies will continue a chase. Use it to soften enemies and you’ll probably one tap the Heavy and Rocket Devastators that give so many problems. The biggest issue is just startup time. And why not just pair it with Orbital Precision then? Both have amazing roles that limit bot counter play. Even if Gas isn’t the most dangerous up front, it has great flexibility and an uptime only really rivaled by the Gatling Strike. I’m personally a big fan of the Gas strikes’ reliability (I can see some mediums and lights get through even the buffed Gatling Strike). Then use Precision Strikes and your support weapon mop up the heavies. I get the argument he’s trying to present: outright killing can be better than DOT. But area denial is a huge part of the game in the same way he notes smoke can be useful. And denying bot tactics of pursuit can be well worth the upfront damage. (Don’t mind me though. I use Gas on virtually every mission. Absolutely S rank on bugs and probably a solid A on bots)
In defense of the orbital laser's three uses - since all missions are timed nothing really has "infinite" uses. As in, there's only going to be so much you can use any strategem during a mission. The three use limit matters a lot, but it's not three uses versus "infinite" uses.
I actually agree with you here, 3 uses I barely an issue, the 3 minute cooldown is. I think it would be better if it was still 3 uses but 100 second cooldown
Gas is on some level of A for me... it lasts plenty long for teammates to wander into it, can be used rather indiscriminately, and racks up double digit kills rather often. It both slows and damages enemies, which I argue is more effective than the smoke for getting away from a group. The marauders die, and the devastators are left sparking for some easy kills. It "fills" an area, so the cloud doesn't get blocked by terrain such as buildings. Speaking of which, it can destroy fabricators with a projectile hit. Taking out a light outpost and killing half the stuff milling about on a 75 second cooldown? Hell yeah. And the deal with it is that it frees you up to worry about heavier targets, since it's such a reliable killer of all the little shit that scatters. Mega time saved chasing rats, drop it a little closer and let them walk into it. OPS doesn't have the ability to keep killing shit after it strikes. Biggest issue I have with it is how unusually often someone else will run through the cloud. It's gotten better now that more players have seen it since it was almost entirely disregarded before, but it could use better indication of the cloud radius and if it's still capable of causing damage.
For level 9 bot missions I’ve been loving taking stealth armor, the AMR and the jump pack. If you get caught you die fast but if you play smart you almost never get caught. Eagle airstrike for the swiss army knife of stratagems and eagle smoke to disappear when you need to. You can also stealth extract with this loadout by jetpacking up to one of the many ledges and staying there until they see you. When they see you, you drop smoke and reposition, this gives you enough time for the pelican to arrive and you drop one more smoke and leave extract. Let the pelican clear extract and your team can stay on the outskirts with some serious fire support above you. Once it’s clear you can extract fairly easily and you’re not running around trying to pick up sample containers from dead teammates while completely overwhelmed. I’ve been experimenting with this strategy and it goes incredibly well most times. You’re also able to break off from your team with this loadout because of your ability to break contact and disappear when needed. You can knock out a lot of objectives by yourself this way while your team focuses the obj’s with bigger fights.
Been wanting to run the stun nade/HMG/supply pack combo for a while, free autocannon right now so safe time to be testing. Thanks for the list! Going to try some new strategems after work!

I would put the recoilless rifle in A tier, you can crank shots off pretty quick and if a team mate cover you you can take out several bullets tanks etc with single well placed shots, it's also good for dropping gun ships and air ships, dropping the air ship traps them in place and you can just walk away a lot of times
I’m having fun bringing both machine gun and Gattling sentries. One is almost always ready, and two at once protects each other. I don’t find my EMS sentries dying because I try to place them 100m+ away from the fight. S tier imho. Randos almost never pick it, so it makes their all damage load outs viable.
I think the issue with the mines isn't how close they spawn together but how they're damage but being close to each other doesn't help. Instead of the explosion being more like a V it's just a radius and if another mine lands within that radius it's why they chain explode
I dont even play HD2 anymore since I got addicted to deep rock galactic but I came here just to say that Eagle Airstrike has been my favorite stratagem since day 1 and I'm glad you put it in S tier since I still follow online discussion about the game and have seen people disparaging it recently in comparison to the various buffed orbitals, sentries, and even rocket pods. The airburts rocket definitely needs a buff, but I have had success with it. I'd say it could be a solid B if used correctly. I use it similar to how I use the grenade launcher. Does well taking care of the bots with the shield and the rocket bots. I originally tried it to see if it would do any damage to gun ship patrols. Sadly it doesn't. If it did, definitely A tier
I feel that instead of a machine gun emplacement, it should be something like a howitzer. Maybe a giant rail gun emplacement. It has to be way better if you have to man it. Like you said, rocket sentry beats it out in essentially every situation there's a reason to use either.
The railgun should be either A or S tier imo; the railgun is disgusting against hulks, devastators and striders, we have stratagems for factory striders
I think a change that I would like is that they change Gunships to have light armor casue I don't like having the feeling of being forced to have a medium pen weapon or that even if you have a weapon with med pen its difficult to accurately shoot its engines. Also would like to argue the fact that they can fly, almost always have line of sight, and can blind you is already pretty strong for a unit
Do you like, not use support weapons? Gunships become the equivalent of a basic bot when you use auto canon or HMG or AMR.... If you find them hard to hit, that's a you issue. They're barely even a threat.
I think orbital smoke really should be in needs a buff, because it does there is no reason right now to take it over eagle smoke but apart from that i pretty much agree with this list
Shield Gen backpack is getting less use also because we rarely get oneshot anymore. It used to be explosions and then fire damage but now we actually can take a few hits without dying.
I really actually only use shield pack when I’m using flamethrower cause it makes it a lot harder to set yourself on fire and protects u from those almost dead bugs that get 1 hit in

In general, Orbital Lasers downsides, as other stratagems are buffed, are becoming more glaring. Still great, but I see S-tier reserved for anything that gets maximum value regardless of the battle situation or team comp.
Although I agree the airburst needs a buff, I surprisingly have a lot of fun and do well with it when I run it with something like the scorcher/ purifier bc it’ll knock a lot of damage off of them and just have to clean them up. I consistently get a lot of kills whenever I run it, and try to be responsible with my teammates 😂
Personally, because it's a team ranked stratagem list, the mortar turret, rocket Sentry, and auto Canon Sentry, should be put in low a tier, maybe high b tier because of the high team kill potential. Now obviously in a good team and good call outs. That's not an issue, but I'm thinking of random teammates in a match. Because of the team play aspect of this tier list, you should bring up the manible machine gun turret to a high b, or a low a tier because you can pick the shots, and not rely on AI to take the wheel so to speak!
Ballistic shield, key word ballistic. Bullets and all types of bullets. Small arms fire, machine gun fire. Not rockets, not tank shells, not big ass lasers.
@@ExValeFor it used to work before the patch it worked great one box filled all your grenades stuns ammunition and support weapon ammunition full with just one box allowing all members of a full squad to refill from empty to full on one supply drop without one guy being shorted now we are back to rationing ammunition

Rocket sentry is s-tier at this point. It can handle 2-3 patrols by itself on Helldive, has unlimited uses, and is more versatile than the 500 kg.

The AC can pen the center of the AA guns on the shredder tank. Maybe thats what people are saying. I believe 6-7 shots.

I've been running that since they buffed the hmg and it's a pretty great setup. Works decent enough on bugs too.

I would put the guard dog Rover at B+, its really good when paired with the eruptor run & gun build.
Shield Generator needs a variable buff that depends on the difficulty level. Higher difficulty provides a stronger buff.

Stalwart: give it medium pen
MG43: give it bettet medium pen(to take care of hulks)
HMG: give it heavy pen

you're playing bots, if you don't have good medium pen you are already boned. Gunships going down to liberators won't help you
