I've been watching you for so long now Sorin, that I've reached a point I never thought I would. I know exactly what you are doing, why you are doing it and even know what you are going to do, before you actually do it! (Spotted you left your power supply on 1 volt too at the end!) My point is not to boast...but to firstly thank you for everything you do. Also to encourage new viewers to stick to Sorin like glue! It will advance your electronic journey more than you can ever imagine. Thank you Sorin.

I guess a replacement motherboard would be the best option but it would be really expensive I imagine. I had one similar. The customer changed the screen without unplugging the battery and it ended up like this.
Why would the motherboard need a new bios if you were to swap the Cpu with a new but identical one of the same model? Was the bios already bricked from a failed update when you got it?
Even if you can buy the cpu from Intel like warranty repair centers can, most of the time you're not gonna solder it on properly because of how hard the 11, 12 and 13th gen mobile CPUs are to solder, on ROHS (lead free) balls no less.
Leave it to HP to have a shady motherboard that shorts the CPU. - Never buy from trash brands like HP, Dell, Acer, AND DEFINITELY never buy from Apple.
sure, coils are the out of power suply, when they are next to 2 fets and a chip. sometimes on new generation laptops there is only a chip and coil, fets are intigrated in the chip. can provide you a good book to learn about this.
@technical5880 I'm clued up on most of what you're saying. I just wanted to know if that power supply/inductor was the power supply for the chipset. If so that would explain the 0ohms since the chipset is shorted.
You know, in the moment they will be forced (by an authoritarian entity) to share (against their free will), you know, not only documentation like shematics and board views (its the same authoritarian entity, the one who don't want you to acquire this knowlege, they use violence to accomplished this, they call it "intelectual property", it is not a real property) but also spare components like the CPU, then the world it will be a different place, a better place obviously, Thats not a different place, thats just statism dude. It's a common foult in every laptop were the pch or ec chip gets faulty and short to +3.3v LDO. The +3.3v driver will always be fine the problem is pch or ec chip when the driver gets hot Any way if u like my comment like me sorin😊

No easy pizza. It was starting to look like a shorted capacitor. But at least you figured out the problems.
Dead CPU :( RIP... Never mind Sorin ur still the best! you do all you can everytime

E waste because you can’t buy replacement parts from manufacturer. Sadly 😢
Love your videos 🎉
Bad luck 😢😢. Will see another one

No easy Pizza this time.
Shorted capacitors and mosfets are an easy fix, a cpu is another matter.
Hope you have better luck next time Sorin.
Master Sorin, isn't this laptop the HP Envy ch0500 that you repaired 3 weeks ago? 😊
Are you blaming our master Sorin? If you look closely, it's not the same. 😁

How Can be Cpu and Chipset Faulty??
Sorin said this might be liquid damage plus somebody worked on it before so you dont know if they didnt fry the chipset in the process
can be 19V into the chipset
In situations of this nature, I will replace the motherboard and my job is done. Thanks a lot for sharing your ideas.
what we need a laptop socket CPU, as we had 10 year ago
No. You still won’t have a new cpu from a distributor as intel only sells to manufacturers. BGA Soldering may be a problem for you but not sorin.
no easy pizza
