Capstan Blue is one of my favorite blends and I'm lucky enough to have a few tins from 2012 and 2013. I also have a couple of the Yellow and 11 years of age does make it incredibly smooth but to my taste, it's simply too mild to be a regular smoke. Perhaps it could be used to mix with a blend that is too pungent or end up being an excellent choice for a new pipe smoker (who never smoked cigarettes or cigars) to venture into Va's.
What you are going through is one of the toughest moments you’ll ever experience. Only time will allow you to heal. Sadly, we will never know true happiness until we have truly loved, and we will never understand what pain really is until we have lost it... “Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime and falling in at night”.
Expected more of this one, trying it is less of a priority now

Spot on with the review. I much prefer Capstan Blue myself, finding Gold to be too mild. Though a bit of aging makes it better. I did acquire an approximately 45 year old tin of Gold just the other day, back from when it was made in England by Wills. I’m looking forward to seeing what has happened with it during that time.
There used to be a Brown Capstan too once upon a time, “Capstan Full”. It contained DFK and was heavier in both taste and nicotine.

Tbh, this sounds like basically Orlik, but more than double the price.
Good to see you back in fine form Bradley! I've been really enjoying Orlik Golden Sliced lately as the winter turns to spring, but I have found myself thinking that a light grassy Virginia with more of a citrus top note could be really nice so I think I'll give Capstan Gold a try on my next tobacco order! Very good review as always. Despite a "dislike" towards virginia blends, I enjoyed Capstan Blue. I'll have to give this one a try if I come across a tin at my local tobacconist.

Hey Bradley. I’ve been watching your content on and off but I haven’t lost your story. I went through a recent breakup with a parter of a long time and whatever advice I can offer you comes to the head of “just keep living” my father left a relationship of 5 married years after 2 years of thorough planning and he met my angel of a mother. You may be religious or you may not but whatever’s out there has a plan for you so don’t give up. I hope I helped and if I didn’t thanks for the content.

So that Tobacconist out in Lynden just had a new blend called "Norwegian" blend and I picked up an ounce of it. It's Virginia's, burly and orientals and it seemed quite unique(but I haven't been doing this near as long as you have). I liked it quite a bit and would love if you were able to a review of it. If you were looking for a reason to head that way. To me it was sweet and slightly grassy but had a bit of the nuttiness of the burley.
Glad to see you back. Premium price, but I really love this blend. Had 2 tins within 6 months. Considering cracking another tin open. Lol

Some of the Virginias I’ve tried give a certain citrus taste, even without and added flavor. And … they tend to bite me when they do.

If someone likes this and would like a more cost effective replacement try Sutliff Virginia Slices. I think that’s the name anyway. Very Bright Virginia forward. To me Capstan Blue has more of a bread thing going, the Yellow is more citrus and bright Virginia sunshine flavor. Both are extremely overpriced for what they are
Come to Australia where you'll pay $120- $150 for that same size 😂
