Would you take this CS850GT or the GT500?

@AutoTrader, the GT500 properly as it seems to be the more sorted car. I would have liked to hear about more of the chassis modifications to this car and other negative points rather than just being slower than the GT500 in acceleration despite the power difference.
Neither as both are pointless shite vanity projects for boneheads.

Fact is you’d rather have a car with half this cars weight and half it’s horsepower with a manual transmission. Wayyyyy more fun

@@abelflores5976 oh don't worry I do get it...but the problem is unfortunately we all tend to take good health for granted...and that includes how well we can...or can't hear. Try spending a day with earplugs in you'll soon get the idea ..!! 😂😂
@@XENONEZZ2 No guarantee you will make it to old age being able to use a hearing aid. Also hearing loss is a gradual thing and it depends on what db this exhaust is at versus minutes of exposure over said db. Easy in regards to health, eat well and go to the gym!

This car is really bout automotive pleasure, more than anything else.
I can't imagine driving a 859hp manual car I think I would need driving lessons just for that car

Just get a Tesla, it's faster, quieter, and so easy to drive that the occupants go to sleep during their commutes.

I quite like the SST but I do miss the 3rd pedal.
My point was you can get a fast car that's really easy to drive, a car that can practically drive itself, if you aren't confident in a powerful manual, or if you have weak knees.

As an American and 3-time Mustang owner, I know he’s being generous with this review. A Shelby is far more sorted than the GT and 850 horsepower probably feels like 580.
That being said, I bet it’s a riot to drive

As a long time mustang owner (fox, sn95 as well as) and a new PP2 owner with a 6 speed, magnaride and (now) a lot of power and trans upgrades…
That 4.6 0-60 isn’t an accurate time for a good click off.
Not even on the street with stock tires.
The cobra might be upgraded but there are a lot of us clicking off 3 second ranges with slightly modified perf packs.
Honestly I cannot compare none of your videos to each other. The level of creativity is insane, quality and superb enthusiasm.
Damn this CS850GT is something else. I love the fact that its a manual transmission, this way you can enjoy the full experience of FAST AND FURIOUS VIBE
You guys in the UK did a fantastic job on this mustang mechanicals are perfect and I love the not so overdone body works, nice and clean.
Rory and, Thomas and James (Throttle House) are always a joy to watch.
Not really. Rory has a lot of reviews that lack quality and completeness.
We hear him here measuring the SPL of the exhaust of his Mustang. He shows us 116dB.
We then expect a comparison of the CS850 on both quiet and loud. Where is the quiet comparison?
Another time, (amongst others), I remember him testing the touch screen in a car, (I "think" it was the new E or S Class), he said the response was instant. You could actually see the lag in the video as he was moving his finger. Try your iPhone or Galaxy S9 - that is pretty much instant.
Makes me wonder if he's being paid NOT to give an honest review.
The fact that it has a manual transmission in itself makes this a million times better than the GT500. It’s why I much prefer the gt350 to the 500.

@@Kronos0999 The Focus RS, RS200, Fiesta ST, etc, were all available in the UK way before US/Canada. Mexico you could get some of them.

I suspect it's not a car that is about 0-60 times or cornering forces. I think it's a car about experiences, how it makes you feel. The idea of having 850bhp under your right foot, dancing across the pedals as you eat through the gears. It sounds more like an old school working class hero than a modern highly strung track weapon. Something to recall the sensations of your first time driving a car, rather than changing the world.

I believe that timing you got is cause its a manual gearbox. Don't get me wrong, manual gearbox's are fun to drive but DCT is much more efficient in shifting so you can achieve quicker launch timings.
yeah but you also get traction control with an automatic that randomly kicks in and ruins your day. Anyone who can properly shift is just as fast as an automatic.

Timings are all academic, the question is how does it make you feel? How fast does it take an adult & turn them into a giggling school kid?.
Having owned 4 mustangs punching it around the bend is the scarey part if you’re not familiar with how they respond. I would do it just to break traction and give it opposite lock for fun. You expect it to break loose. But seeing him punch it in the corner and the rear looks to squat and dig in is a exciting new proposition. That’s exciting.

I’ve been watching your video’s for a couple of years now and (as a yank) I find myself thinking how odd it is when you are testing a left hand drive vehicle. Between you and Matt Watson, I’m starting to think it’s the “Proper” side to be on. Unlike Clarkson and May, you two don’t spend your time insulting Americans and our cars every time you review something from this side of the pond. Thank you for your professionalism and honesty.

If that hp figure is accurate, that car is much faster than 4.7 s implies. It's very hard to launch any S550 mustang, and that road was bumpy and seemed damp. I like this car though. Loud is awful and waay overrated, but a good sound is awesome. Your car sound really good, and that CS on quiet mode too. Nice review.

One thing that never appealed to me about the gt500. Any generation. You can buy a GT, mod it, and get more power, for less money… and make it unique in the process. Instead of buying a factory built car. If you don’t want to void the warranty, buy a used one and do it and save even more

Left hand drive is a deal breaker for most folks in the UK. But not for many others as most production cars are actually left hand drive
Anyone who ever disses a mustang is a straight hater and obviously has never driven or Owen a mustang....... Your dodge or Chevy would not even exist without the mustang seeing how it came out years before the rest but that's like good old Ford doing everything 1st.......... Understand the enthusiasm und fun a motor journalist has taking such a phenomenal combustion engine car for a fun drive. But hand to your heart, how are figures compared to a Tesla Model S Plade?

Its slower than a stock gt. He didn't launch it correctly. It should do low 3 seconds.
Good for Autobahn. Please test it there along with GT500.

Manual or not. It's Mustang and it's epicly powerful and beautiful.
4.8 to 60,slower than a standard 5.0 GT.Should be low 3s and pushing close to 200mph.

That off the mark test to see how fast it could go was a bit lame. How about maxing it out through every gear/ red lining, didn't hear any of that. Going through those gears hard and hearing it scream is what it's all about. I grew up doing exactly that and it's a hell of a lot of fun, give it a try.
I was kind of disappointed with the 0-60 time and not burnouts in 1st gear but daaamn isn’t it a beast of sound? That engine should be in a stock car, not into that street Mustang hahahahaha, it is so gnarly 🤟🏽
