I just ordered studio series 44 dotm Optimus prime with his trailer. For half off. On Amazon. The most random sale ever. And it's in time for my birthday. YIPEEEE
HFTD is still a marvel. HFTD, ROTB mainline (that thing is so fun and I really want to paint it nice), SS102, SS05, then the original 07/09 era mold are probably my top 5. I'd love a premium finish HFTD.
Evasion Mode Prime is probably my favorite out of this lot, with the DotM Leader Class version of the studio series bayformer prime mold coming at a close second. Yeah, it's a leader class so it doesn't *really* count for this list, but that mold genuinely is a ton of fun. The massive hollow space in the back is kinda iffy, to be honest, but I've really grown to love the figure in general. The whole thing is just a shocking amount of fun to pose with and transform. Meanwhile, Evasion Mode is just such a joy to mess with. The deco is wack, sure, but it more than makes up for it in just how clever the transformation is, and how genuinely fun the whole figure is.
The Takara version of the 2010 Hunt for the Decepticons Optimus with more accurate colors and chrome is flat out THE best Optimus figure. Lucked out on finding it on eBay - still wanna get the standard one someday.
It is crazy validating to hear someone else say they prefer SS-05 to SS-32! I always enjoyed the better accuracy of 32, but 05 is just a much better all around figure to mess with in my experience, especially with the Premium Finish upgraded paint job.
SS32 and ROTB Mainline are the best imo, they just feel the most refined with their engineering and how much they can onteract w other toys. Like they dont have as much 5mm ports as i want so boooo, but SS32 can do the Jetwing Prime, and the best Leader Class trailer cause it combines smoothly lol, and i think to this day his poseability is the smoothest to pull off, w ROTB Mainline also being way better than the rest of the Primes in poseability And then i have SS38 and the DOTM Voyager as solid runner ups It helps that i actually like the toy proportions on SS38 more than the actual design in the BBM lol
I wish I kept my 2007 Optimus. My mom gave it and 2007 Bumblebee (disguise) to her friend’s kid before they moved back to Japan, a few months before I got back into TF
102, Original 2007, and Evasion mode are my favorites. I'm considering adding SS32 to my collection, as I do enjoy complex and smaller transformers in general.
So happy with the SS38 rerelease, I don’t have any of the others. I wish I had gotten the SS DOTM Leader, but missed both the original and the Buzzworthy rerelease.
About the HFTD, you can open his back and head, clearing space for tucking the matrix and his head, it's not in any instructions and I found out in 2023 when I got the Revenge Deco from AOE
It's impressive to see how many voyagers Optimus gets, they're indeed awesome, though it would be nice to see affordable deluxe class figures based on any of the movie versions Optimus. But yeah that aside, I do have both TLK first release voyager and 2008 Allspark power voyager figures of Optimus, I guess that for nostalgic reasons I'm going for the 2007 mold, it's definitely not the greatest with it's awkward leg automorph feature, but I had so much fun playing with that figure ever since and oddly enough, at first it did bothered me that it didn't had the colors like in the movie and far as I know, being based on the G1 colors, I'm sure orange wasn't part of it, but eventually I grew to like it, it's inaccurate that's for sure, but it is an interesting change of pace, for me of course and I have no regrets liking this figure and will still love it. Unpopular opinion: I will say, I do like the 2007 movie design a lot more than his most recent looks being faithful to the original, they're not bad at all, it's mostly since the 2007 era was the time I was introduced to Transformers after all.
I recently got ROTB optimus (its also my first optimus) and I am honestly so glad for it bc it really is a good mould, I got Transformers: One optimus like a day after and its pretty good too tbh,
Ss32 might be the best looking and posing bayverse optimus. Even better than the leader, mpm and thunder leader because all of them look wonk with proportionally that are weird, batsh*t horrible transformation with thunder leader. Id like to see a mpm optimus with ss32 as a base
In terms of Studio Series, 32 and 38 are the perfect Voyager Optimuses. If you don't like them because you prefer the other molds, then that's fine, but I enjoy those guys.
Saying that you forgive SS102's horrible truck mode because it was a re-tool budget makes zero sense. It was still a full price voyager. Hasbro cheaped out and made more money because of it. That's pretty not forgivable if you ask me. And their excuse of wanting OP out in that wave without having to actually take any risk by having Target front load all of their expense makes it even worse. I get being a fan, but it doesn't excuse them of being insanely greedy and insensitive to the people that just wanna buy their toys.
My favorite is by far 102 for the Robot mode, posing, and transformation. I do like the Premire Edition TLK, and I prefer (funny enough) the wider chest of SS 05 to the later version. While I'm in the 102 over 32 camp, I will say that 32's truck mode is one of if not my favorite trucks; it looks so much like a real truck from all angles
The 2007 Voyager is a real sleeper hit, I got him off Toyfu at this years TFNation, I got the orange one, that I think is the Alspark powered version, It is a solid toy and it is fun to flip back and forth, My top 5 are 1. HFTD 2. Evasion Mode 3. Mainline ROTB 4. SS ROTB 5. 2007
05 proportions are somewhat accuerate tho, bayverse prime is quite wide with really long legs, also despite inaccurate backpack it cleans out more nicely, also the legs are accurate with that fold thing over the wheel

This is The King of Fighters amongst Voyager class Bayverse Optimus Prime figures, period. 2. AoE Evasion Mode: THIS mofo is an absolute McBeast. My personal favorite is SS32. I'd be lying if I said I knew where you were coming from with the gripes about the transformation but I do agree that the mould has some issues. I got the Baiwei version of the mould that fixes MY biggest problems with the mould; adding the collapsing rear wheelwells and the longer smokestacks.
I remember my dad getting me the DOTM one for my 11th birthday. Lame ahh figure but a nice memory. Also you should grab one of Baiwei's Optimus', I've got their 102 and like 3 versions of the SS32 mold (will sell one) because they keep putting out improved decos of that
Hmm. I had to do some thinking but out of the movie Optimus Primes I have (SS 05PF, 38, 44, 102 and Evasion mode) I think I have to go with SS 05 Premium Finish. I just love all the details. He looks sooo good. 2nd would probably be Evasion Mode and SS 38 a close 3rd. SS 102 was a bit of a let down as I love a clean vehicle mode. Hopefully they redo his lags one day.
The only thing I dislike with the mainline Optimus is that the ankle are WEAK! Like seriously why no reviwers have brought this up? I don't mean weak as in floopy joints per say but the connection is weak. Also don't like that it connect to the feet in a soft locked that feels like it will get weak overtime!
HFTD was such a hit at the time I ended up buying two of them as both modes were very good. Now however I think the truck mode is the best display option for this mold as it's probably the most detailed, and nicely painted out of any Bayverse Prime voyagers. SS ROTF has a great streamlined and articulated robot mode, but the truck mode manages to fail on every level as it's dull, small, and cheaper looking than most. Still pains me that I completely skipped out on the DOTM Voyagers Prime, and Shockwave as they were literally everywhere back in the day. Evasion Prime, the only TF I got from that movie, definitely felt budgeted, but was still a pretty fun, and unique attempt at the flat nose truck design while still carrying over the Bayverse aesthetic. TLK Prime was nicely painted all around, but had minimal engineering, and felt cheap all around. High hopes to see what Hasbro can do with this design with a Leader budget. While it's scheduled to be AOE Prime, I'd be pretty surprised if this ended up being another Evasion Prime. Only got Premium paint Bee movie Prime last year, and despite it's quirks still probably one of best movie designs in toy form we've gotten from any of the movies. Robot mode may have it's flaws, but the truck mode is clean. May feel different once ROTB Prime releases next year, but as it will probably remain unchanged, the only real improvement is the robot mode.
1:02 _Studio Series_ _Rise of the Beasts_ is my favourite Optimus Prime toy period as of the release of this video, _Studio Series_ 32 is my favourite first 3 movies Optimus, _The Last Knight_ voyager is my favourite _Transformers 4_ and _5_ Prime though his uncoming _Studio Series_ figure has a pretty good chance at beating it and the others are inferior renditions of the same designs so I just don't see the point of considering them.
I honestly don't think any of these Optimus Prime toys are bad, but here's my personal preference ranking of the figures I've messed with; 1. Evasion Mode 2. Battle Blades 3. Studio Series 102 4. Studio Series 32/44 5. DOTM 6. TLK (I don't own 07/09, SS05, SS38, or ROTB Mainline, but based on what I know, Mainline, SS38, 07/09, & SS05 would be how they'd shake out amongst each other 😂).
I removed the kibble from my ladt knight optimus prime and that figure looks insane my favourite optimus figure is either studio series 102 studio series 32 or evasion mode

Evasion mode: 9/10 he’s great, I had the evolution 2 pack one and I loved him. Til he broke Tlk: 8/10 This thing was great. I hate the Cheeto sword tho. SS05: 7/10 he looks like me when I played football. Shoulder look huge because of pads but scrawny lol. But transformation is fun. SS32: 6/10 looks nice but he feels cheap :( Reboot prime: 5/10 I liked him until 102 came out……Now I hate him. Mainline ROTB: Smaller voyager: I lied I never bought this one but you got it and told me how much you thought it was pretty aight. SS102: BRUH HIS TRUCK IS SO MESSY ON THE BACK BUT DAMN THAT RIBOT MODE!!!!!! It’s so cool. 9/10 but the gun should be better.

My personal favorite is SS32. I'd be lying if I said I knew where you were coming from with the gripes about the transformation but I do agree that the mould has some issues. I got the Baiwei version of the mould that fixes MY biggest problems with the mould; adding the collapsing rear wheelwells and the longer smokestacks.
god i love the dotm voyager, such a scuffed toy but so fun
Interesting this was ordered by release date and not chronological order
My fav is the hunt for decepticons version. I just have a hot spot for him.
I pre ordered 38
I remember my dad getting me the DOTM one for my 11th birthday. Lame ahh figure but a nice memory.
Also you should grab one of Baiwei's Optimus', I've got their 102 and like 3 versions of the SS32 mold (will sell one) because they keep putting out improved decos of that
I loved the evasion mode. Just not the paint, or lack there of. The Japanese version is a LOT better though.
I got the best of two worlds when I combined the SS 38 and 102 together
The only thing I dislike with the mainline Optimus is that the ankle are WEAK! Like seriously why no reviwers have brought this up? I don't mean weak as in floopy joints per say but the connection is weak. Also don't like that it connect to the feet in a soft locked that feels like it will get weak overtime!
Voyager > Leader class In mine opinion this video gives nostalgia 😂
i can agree with the hftd version
I actually have that original one! It's missing a few bits, but I thought it was a solid toy
5:45 ayo is that the Bionicle ad guy's voice?!
the OG 2009 figure just has a charm to it, but I may just be nostalgia blind.
My top 5 are
5. 07
4. Freeway Brawl 2-pack
3. RotF
2. Sam's Club 3-pack
1. Defender
For real though it’s
5. Battle Blades + Comettor (HftD)
4. SS-38
3. Fireburst (DotM)
2. Evasion Mode
1. Defender (07/RotF)
GREAT VIDEO!!!, I think you forgot ultimate Optimus prime (he’s really only good in super mode and alt mode)
There’s 2 ss Optimus prime molds, so close !
i predict that the studio series version of evasion prime is going to be the best movie prime by a wide margin
I can't wait till the studio series aoe/lk prime
I honestly don't think any of these Optimus Prime toys are bad, but here's my personal preference ranking of the figures I've messed with;
1. Evasion Mode
2. Battle Blades
3. Studio Series 102
4. Studio Series 32/44
5. DOTM
6. TLK
(I don't own 07/09, SS05, SS38, or ROTB Mainline, but based on what I know, Mainline, SS38, 07/09, & SS05 would be how they'd shake out amongst each other 😂).

Cybertronian = chinese characters
I've been learning cybertronian back in school apparently.
I removed the kibble from my ladt knight optimus prime and that figure looks insane my favourite optimus figure is either studio series 102 studio series 32 or evasion mode
Aight, i once had all these fellas and have since passed them on, but im gonna lay it down
Movie 1/2 : 8/10 my second transformer I ever got way back in 2007 so im biased.
HFTD: 8/10. It’s a neat piece, didn’t have him as long tho.
DOTM: 10/10 easily my favorite voyager. The Hasbro ones gun is to die for. Also there’s a fan combination with classics Rodimus.
Evasion mode: 9/10 he’s great, I had the evolution 2 pack one and I loved him. Til he broke
Tlk: 8/10 This thing was great. I hate the Cheeto sword tho.
SS05: 7/10 he looks like me when I played football. Shoulder look huge because of pads but scrawny lol. But transformation is fun.
SS32: 6/10 looks nice but he feels cheap :(
Reboot prime: 5/10 I liked him until 102 came out……Now I hate him.
This video is made for adult collectors because “master skywalker there’s too many of them what are we going to do”
I think out of box SS 102 is better but modded like say the DNA design upgrade kit for 102 and modding SS 38…SS 38 blows SS 102 out of the water
Nice vid
pls do every movie deluxe bumblebee next 🙌
Can you do a review on the joytoy(?) ultramarine? Im kinda thinking of getting one
i kinda want the 2007/2009 Optimus Voyager
I have 2 of these
one of them is a ko Nemesis repaint
I enjoy ss05 because the proportions just feel more "heroic", like the 09 leader class
Dammit bro, I just spent like $65 to get the takara tomy 102 Prime... and I just now heard its getting a regular release.
