Rim Jets can get clogged, which reduces flush flow and action suffers. Clean the toilet with a gallon of VINEGAR after completely drting the toilet, and let the vinegar sit for several hours. Tape the rim jets so the vinegar can clean them.
The red top of our fill valve is now taller than the tank and won’t automatically refill or stop refilling. Why is this happening? The toilet still works but it’s a big inconvenience, and we can’t get the lid on evenly obviously.
Please. If u ever go to cut up a newish tank. There are people who truly need a new one. Maybe their house completely flooded from a stupid angle valve just randomly exploding & ruining every item they have, & the main just will not shut off, your Dad even brings the right tool….for hrs, water co even struggles & it’s fully engaged for almost 3 hrs. Like a pressure washer coming from the wall to the next to the next. Then POS ins co treats them like trash after 20 or so yrs. And they really really need a replacement. Among many other things. Even if it is used. Please, don’t tear up tanks that can help someone so much. Maybe make a business of selling gently used. Please.

I know a way to chang that fill valve just as quick as changing the flaper.... don't even have to drain the water out of the tank
