Effected the same exact fix like you did in under a minute or two -- thanks. As this is for my aging work truck, the alternative would have been to pester my usually unresponsive vehicle's manager at another office an hour away for authorization of a new key. Nice to have been able to text him back, "Disregard, found a RUclips fix".

Fantastic video.I have a 2010 Ford Focus with the same type of key. for over a year now I've been using the key without a keyring. I thought about drilling a hole but always was worried I would hit the chip. Thank you again so much.
Trying this soon - You wouldn't believe the mound of baking soda/super glue built up on the top of the broken loop that I have to look at now, lol. Gonna try Dremeling it off and trying the drill technique. Wish me luck. :)
FInally got around to doing these - Easy-Peazy. I did start out with a smaller bit first and ended up with a 1/8" bit. Keyring looped fine and my '06 Ford Escape started right up. Thanks for the video!
