i smashed that like button! Love your videos and especially that they talk about so many of the practical questions. I really liked the inset video showing what you were talking about while you described it.

Awesome video and great topic lee! Couple extras...if you let off your vang before going in, your boom may rotate a little better and help clear over the daggerboard. I have also landed by blowing the mainsheet and letting it go through the blocks. No options though once you do this. Also, steering aggressively or dragging a leg over the side is also a good way to hit the brakes and slow down. Just dont fall in! Lol.

Really good video, thanks Lee. I’m still in the restoration project on my 1960 fiberglass sunfish. I’m calling it a rescue.

Couple of things: a friend set me up with a rig to leave my dolly in the water but not float away. Kayak anchor, 1#, length of line and a small float
Landing downwind in a Sunfish, and to a lesser extent Aero, you can blow the halyard and following seas will push you home.

Cool ideas. (Would not work where I am as many people use the smallish beach though).

What is your tide difference? Boris was just talking about this same idea. We have an 8’ tide.

@@Akochen100 the tide swing on the lagoon is negligible.
The question for yall is what is the tide swing over time? An anchor may still work for yall if your practice is only a couple hours or less and the tide cycle is longer.
