I just installed this on my 17 GLC 43 amg :) First impressions are great! Especially this being my firdt turbocharged car I own, its insane that these can “download horsepower” Its currently raining the next 2 days where i live lol so ill wait for a after 0-60 test But, this product solved all my issues with these motors. Great for launch but crappy top end power now it actually PULLS after 80 😁
@@TheV8Pumpkinnice didn’t know the glc was that much faster than the gle. I might need to look at that car. Gle 43 is stock about 5.4 I think so it would likely remain slow haha.
quick question: harness labeled "c" goes to INTAKE or OUT camshaft sensor? they are 2 camshaft sensors, right? (i am asking for another car hyunday santa fe 2.5T). Thanks
No, it works totally independently from the vehicles drive modes. I would suggest adding the app feature so you can control the drive modes on the RaceChip with your smartphone.
Please make sure to pull back on the locking tab before pressing down to unlock the OEM plug. If you broke the tab off you can grab a small flat head screw driver or a pick and gently lift up from the front of the sensor to unlock the locking mechanism. You can see the mechanism at the 2:05 mark in this video. Feel free to email our customer support for more assistance. Support@racechip.us
RaceChip Installation Videos I got it figured out, thank you for the swift response. Also, is there a break in period ? Or will I notice the full effect after the initial test run?
I would check with your warranty contract to see if adding a piggy back unit will void it. Do note, since we are a piggyback unit, if you spend a few minutes to remove the RaceChip before you take it in for service, the mechanic or technician will have no idea that the RaceChip was ever installed. You simply unplug the RaceChip from the sensors and re-insert the OEM plug. Once removed the RaceChip is virtually untraceable.
Yes, there are two different HP options in the store. Email our customer support and they can assist you with getting the proper chip for your vehicle.
It does not but realize that installing any aftermarket part while it is under warranty can be an issue at the dealership you have the car serviced at.
I have a 2017 c43 amg I'm looking to buy this piggy back tune but how would I know if I get the c plug is there a benefit to getting ab and c as to just ab
@@giolaguna3133 yes the c connection is for the variable timing.. probably adjust timing since this is basically putting 435hp for the 43 series.. my question is if i tell the chip i have a e43 will that be fine? @@Dnasty1 I got 4.3! It was on a very slightly downward road so I’m assuming 4.4-4.5 is very common. Factory is 4.7 so im pretty happy with this

Would be nice to make some acceleration tests with unplugged box and plugged (before/after) . Something like 50-80 miles or so.

what are the typical hp gains?
Would the race chip go to race automatically if I put it in sport plus mode ?

@@RaceChipInstallationVideos how does that work then? Say i have your rc gts at mode 6 or 7, but your own vehicle mode at comfort.. ?
Is this what I’d follow for the gts black for the 2018 CLA 250 ?
Do you guys have an install video coming for an E53/GLE53/CLS53?
I’m finding it impossible to remove the clips, my turbo sensor lock broke too so I have no idea what to do now. Any tips? Thanks

@@thtc400 You will feel the performance increase from the very first test drive but the unit will optimize itself over the first 15-20 miles.
So nothing goes into the odb port under the steering wheel?
No, everything plugs in under the hood which allows the tuning to be reversible by simply removing the device.
Is there a way it can avoid the CEL, if adding a downpipe ?
As long as it is equipped with a Catalytic converter you should have no issues. If it is catless, our products do NOT remove CEL.
Does this void a factory warranty once the ECU is scanned on the dealer side of things? I still have 10k left on my warranty but want to tune now.

Is this easy to take off and put back on later if I need to ?
Yes, just simply reverse the order of the installation to remove the device.

Quick question please. How much kws or torque do I get out of the racechip?
Depends on the application. The GTS Black increases the power on the C43 by +67 HP +91 lb-ft

Yep.
I work for Mercedes Benz and it does affect your warranty
Kurt MacFarlane Due to it not being a remap of your ECU wouldn’t you just need to uninstall it before servicing and MB would never know?
So this isnt a permanent map to the car? so if i remove it the car will just factory itself back to normal?
Yes, the car is back in stock condition within 10 minutes. Simple plug and play. No changes to the ecu at all.
