That has happened with a few other of our laptops too, some were were able to fix by fully discharging the battery and fully charging it while not using the battery a few times the rest we had to RMA for a replacement.

none of the screwdrivers i've tried fit the screws on the battery. what should i be using?
so 2 years into the battery, how is it holding up?? I need to know?
It has actually held up pretty well considering it is a none OEM battery, it has lost some maximum life over the years but nothing too straining.
