Jeff is such a lovely singer. “Grace” live at BBC is a great performance to check out by him. As well as “Mojo pin” live at Glastonbury. Both amazing!
Thanks for the recommendation.
This guy was so magical. Really sucks we lost him so I young
Never knew that happened to him. 😞
I love Jeff, then I discovered his dad, both equally amazing. Both sad endings.
Don't know too much about them, but definitely want to listen to more of his music.
@SaeedReacts. I will suggest Jeff's So Real and Tim Buckley's Phantasmagoria in Two (I love this song so much). Tim also did Song to the Siren live on the Monkees show, it's available on RUclips and really beautiful.
@@stephanie3230 And then Elizabeth Fraser famously covered ' Song to the siren '
with Cocteau Twins / This Mortal Coil ...
................... and then Jeff covered the song ' Kangaroo ' ( in live shows ) .
' Kangaroo ' is the song that FOLLOWS ' song to the siren ' on the This Mortal Coil album ' It'll end in tears ' .
It’s funny that you should mention Tool, as Jeff Buckley and Danny Carey were in a country band called The Wild Blue Yonder, circa 1989-1990.
Next up, I’d recommend Jeff’s live performance of the title track from his album, Grace, form The Late Show (BBC). Said video can be found on my channel.
You might also wish to check out the Live in Chicago version of Dream Brother; it is far more intense and up-tempo during the interlude. The arrangement is also quite different from the studio version, as several of Jeff’s songs evolved while he toured with his band.
Oh really, didnt know that. Awesome. Thanks for the recommendation.
@@SaeedReacts. i agree. That Live Grace performance amazes me every time!
Definitely check out his song the last goodbye. It was a huge hit in Oz . I believe it was 95 or 96. He died a year later when he went for "an evening swim fully clothed" .
That is heartbreaking and scary! Will check out more.
Apparently from what I read he was under a bridge singing whole Lotta love by led zeppelin while swimming and he just disappeared
@@bob2shred894 Yea ... It was night and he was fully clothed wearing jeans and undetermined foot wear . ...no drugs or alcohol in his system, death was ruled an accidental drowning after being pulled under the water by the force of the wake of a passing tugboat. He was found 5 days later ...
metropolis is a must to watch. what a milestone, nearly 100 years old.
jeff buckley is a must artist to listen to. during a tour he went for a swim - sober - and was never seen again.
his album "grace" is full of brilliant tracks.
grace and lover, you should've come over are absolut magnificent and on my list of all time favourit songs
As a fan of cinema, i definitely need to watch it.
Heartbreaking to hear that. Will explore more of his music.
Dream Brother is my favorite of his songs. But it's all so good. And considering that he drowned, the last line of the lyrics is eerie.
That definitely is eerie. Great song though. Thanks for watching.
🌿🥀Oh ! Nice you used a photo of Jeff for the thumbnail ... Great idea ! 🌿🥀
Thought it would be more recognizable. Really enjoyed this song. The music and the lyrics are great. Thanks for this one.
@@SaeedReacts. My favourite song by him ...
Wikipedia says : " ' Dream brother ' written as an urge for a friend of Jeff's , Chris Dowd of Fishbone fame,
to not to walk out on his pregnant girlfriend in a similar way to Buckley's own father, Tim Buckley did ."
.....~ From an interview with Jeff Buckley he said he met and visited with his father once for a week .
........................... Two months before he ( Tim ) died from heroin .
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I remember sitting in a travel lodge in London one morning on my way home from Italy ,
listening to this on the complimentary computer in the lobby as a tear fell ...,
......................................It reminds me of my ' brother ' in Italy ~
.................🌎⛲✈" With your tears scattered 'round the World "✈⛲🌏
❤
Bruh, maybe it's the weed but...imagine go back to the time that this movie was made and show this music video clip to the director and actors, like bruh how priceless would be their reaction...imagine....
Now that would be an epic reaction! 😄
is there a link available for the Metropolis video with this song?

@@SaeedReacts. Thanks a million. And glad you liked the song too. I wore this album out when it was released in the 90s and Dream Brother was my favorite song.
