Experience is exactly 0,doing research on how to setup my first nano tank next month. Thinking about a 25gallon , strictly want to do a reef tank with no fish,its just hard to find a reliable store to purchase at in my area ,over here in South Africa

10 years, 2 nd tank was I thought my dream tank, Redsea Reefer 350, big time failed. Now again on IM lagoon 25 🤞 I am now having harder times on torches and hammers. But I am surprisingly doing good on sps. Now it’s President Sale at BRS I just ordered Ecotech Radion XR30 Blue for my lagoon 25. Tips on Lps. My galaxea is doing great though. Thanks in advance. My nitrate 0-1 My Phosphate 0.75 right now I am dosing nitrate. Mag and Cal high My Kh always so high.
@@dadart2028 i’m using 2 maxspect gyre XF350’s but i’ve noticed that the maxspect computer often shut’s one of the pumps down… so i’m switching to the 2 Red Sea reef wave 45’s

RedSeaReefer250 - what is it? 50Gallon? 18months. Just got a bunch of frags today - 3 tenuis, a Pacman (Acropora Carduus), some Montis, some Lords and an Echinata... Yeah I dipped them and most are on the sand bed (- opps I have a fragrack in the tank now (and they just have 2 holes) - plus I have these resin magnetic resin branches - super cool!
Just starting in the hobby. I have a small 12 gallon tank . Water is sitting here , filter is here, I have some rock , I have some beneficial bacteria.... a heater . No wave maker yet, no sand yet , no corals yet. I have a very expensive light.. I just need the nads to start. ! :)
I have 6 tanks A 350 ltr / 95 gallon A 250 ltr / 66 gallon A 190 ltr / 50 gallon A 125 ltr / 33 gallon A 30 ltr / 8 gallon A 20 ltr / 5 gallon But all freshwater, 3 with turtles and 3 with fish and shrimp. I am very facinated by Reeftanks and i really want to set one up. But i never dive into something without research. So i am watching a few channels regularly as part of the research. I also watch Reefdork, Inappropriate Reefer and Everyday Aquarist. And all of this has made me think that a Reeftank with Softcorals and Macroalgae (Like the shallow one in Tia's home) is the best way to start cause it is the most similar to fresh water. I am having tanks since the very late 80's when i was about 7 or 8 years old.

I have been in the aquarium hobby since 1980 and the saltwater hobby since 1990 and my first tank was fish only with HOB filter 50 gallon. In 1993-1996 60 gallon reef and a 150 gallon reef lost both tanks due to major power fail. Out of the hobby till 2010 then started a 90 gallon reef had till 2015 and now doing a 40 gallon cube.
12 years salt and lifetime of fresh(58 years old), 10 gallon frag tank, 15 gallon mandarin tank, 75 gallon mixed reef and 75 gallon Xenia only (couple of mushrooms and zoa's hitch hiked their way in)with 2 engineer gobies .
15 years in the hobby, started with freshwater for a few months then changed to saltwater when I got a good deal on a 4ft aquamedic aio type bow fronted tank, switched last year to a waterbox marine X 90.3. I didn't choose this life, it choose me hahaha
2005 I bought 100 gallon from someone who was getting a divorce (we call it the divorce tank cause it seems to be everyones final straw, even the people who had it after us)They wanted it gone asap. I didn’t think they would agree to the $ I offered but they did. So in a panic I got a ride to Toronto threw everything (didnt know anything about saltwater) into garbage buckets I had just rinsed with a hose (ya I cringe too) got home and threw it all in the tank, and it was so pretty! Looking back, I have no idea how it survived, it was a glass box with lights, and two power heads (no filter). I had it for almost 5 years. Everything was thriving until the “incident” March 2021 I bought a cute little evo off you guys :) As cool as the big tank was, the Evo is my fave.

6 active years, 3 now and 3 in the early 00`s, system is 970l, second one is 100l. Para means next to/side by side in Greek so if it grows any kind of branches it`s gonna be a para.... Hopefully that removes the confusion for some.

Fluval 13.5 first month almost done cycling! Got a paired set of clowns and there doing great. Question I wanna upgrade my filtration media how would I go about that without harming the tank in any way? Also my nitrates are a lil higher then my ammonia and nitrite is that normal, should I be concerned?
Had 6 x2x2 back in the late 90s halides and a canister filter no sump, got back into it about 5 years ago, now have a 5x2x2 and a 2x2x2 cube anenome, mangrove tank, how the hobby has changed thank god for you tube and the tech advances.

2 years, went from 20 gallon waterbox to a 200 gallon red sea. Still learning a lot! doing the triton method for about 4 months now. Havent done a water change and everything seems great except one goni that has been a pain since i bought it. Every time something goes wrong it seems to be because one of the pieces of equipment malfunctions
6 years in hobby took time off now back in it I have 24 gal aquatop with 2 clowns a pistol shrimp and a go by We have 4 leathers and an assortment of others everything is doing great

Started my 20 high tank in August 2021, so about 5 months now. All soft corals, 22 total, 12 varieties.
I have a pistol shrimp so anything on the sand is vulnerable to be flipped, built with, covered, and occasionally snipped.(unfortunate palys)

Just set up a IM Nuvo 10 anemone tank. 4 different color bubbletips.
