    As a Toyota Sequoia owner the front interior upgrades look great. However, that rear shelf system and the elimination of the signature rear lift gate power window have removed a ton of functionality for the vehicle. • @Ryan2022
      @Ryan2022 2 года назад +1

      @@KG49 They don’t fold down flat and the shelf system looks more like a bother than anything else. The presence of the hybrid battery under the floor in the rear has severely compromised the cargo space of this particular vehicle. Contrary to the belief of people who live in Europe or dense cities in the United States plenty of people actually use these type of vehicles for all manner of transport including pets in cages camping gear sports gear and many other activities. • @jerryding6190
      @jerryding6190 2 года назад +11

      @@tommy516 I was soo diappointed when I saw this new Sequoia. They didn't give the numbers yet, but the spec of the 2023 model would be more similar to a land cruiser than Sequoia. The trunk space is a joke, with 2nd row doesn't slide. It compromises 3rd row passanger's leg room, which cuts in to the trunk space. The only reason people would pick this over a Tahoe, would be due to Toyota's reliability.

    • @jerryding6190

    The fact that the rear seats don't fold down flat would be an issue for my dog jumping up into the rig. That cavity would catch his front legs and maybe trip him up to get all the way inside the cargo area...I'd have to bring him to the dealer to check this out first hand. Not really dealing with that issue on the Tahoe/Yukon because of the Independent Rear Suspension since the seat fold down position matches the floor. Hmmmm...something to consider I'd say

    The trunk space is significantly smaller than Tahoe or Yukon. With non-movable 2nd row seat, it really cuts into 3rd row leg space, when you go on a road trip with many luggages. The older the kids you trying to fit in the 3rd row, the more stuff they would want to take with them on a road trip. This car is offering less space overall than the previous generation.

    I On my second Yukon XL over 350k miles. I really like the looks of these two rigs. My first question concerns legroom when two tall people sit tandem in front and middle. hasn’t been acceptable in the past. I would also need hard selling to accept the 23” wheels. A lot of us have them out of our system and think the fatter tires and more comfort is the best. Tow rating? I could well be a serious buyer for this. I would like the benefits of something short enough to garage, etc. but with comfort and room for my tallest foursome and all our gear for a golf road trip. My 2014 Yukon was built as a rental with no screen in the center stack. Yet, the car has almost all the bells/whistles I want and they work very well. It would be great to have the Capstone or less at a price lots less than Lexus. So, you are very much on track. It doesn’t just look good, it looks great…… partly ‘cause the rear side could easily be a Chevy, but that’s ok.

    • @steveo85
      @steveo85 2 года назад +2

      @@rightlanehog3151 We went XLE FWD for less complexity and weight. The area we live in is mostly flat so AWD wasn’t necessary. The rear electric propulsion solution is interesting however. We looked at the Carnival but the wife preferred the Sienna and it’s her car. Also, we have had such good luck with Toyotas as daily drivers it’s hard to walk away from them. For myself I’m leaning towards a 2023 1SS 1LE with the LT2 and Tremec 6060 however 😁

      @@steveo85 I live in Canada and I tow a small boat. Having traction to the rear wheels can make all the difference on a steep boat ramp (ask me how I found out). Snow tires are the biggest factor in winter traction but having some extra traction on both axles does not hurt either. The fact the new Sienna get nearly double the mpg in city driving compared to other minivans puts it in a league of its own. BTW I am deliberately ignoring the existence of the lease-at-your-own-risk Pacifica hybrid . 😉
