our store has self check outs, 5 of them to be specific. the biggest issue at our store currently is, fraudulent coupons. people come in all the time with coupons that are either scanned or illegitimate. im pro at spotting fake coupons, or people using the wrong coupon for the item. 99% of the time the machine wont take it, but theres a few coupons flying around that just go through. my biggest gripe is the fact that when you catch them, they either play stupid or demand that you accept the coupon because they have the correct brand, just the wrong product. there have been many times where i wanted to shred the coupon in front of them. there have also been occasions where i have confiscated the coupon and turned it into the cash office

Also, your second point is totally correct, most customers bitch and moan about something that costs 20 cents more at my store than a competitor store and they make it sound like I'm supposed to fix that. It's not my fault the prices are the way they are, sure if I owned the damn store I could help you possibly but a 20yr old guy working at a cash register is obviously not in charge. Sure I'll get the manager but he rarely has any more power than me in most things, it's all corporate. Everyone should be forced by law to do a register job for a month after high school to see how it is.

Preach it girl! Some Poole are so rude! We are paid to ring up your groceries and take your money. We are not paid for rude costumers to treat us like pawns of the store! We are people. I can assure you, if I didn't have this apron on then 90% of the customers would not act the way they do towards me!
