So the regulator plugs into the apex so it can be turn on and off automatically depending on what I program? Help

Why worry about bubble count when you have a ph controller?

Why use another pump to feed reactor.?.
You could make a manifold out of the main pump and feed reactor...
    That's what I'm doing...

Would love to know the total $$$ spent on all this equipment...appears not to be budget-friendly

1700 wasteful spending if you run anything under 200 gallon

Set it up and forget it. No replacing media every month or so like you have to do with a doser. I had my reactor running for a year and 3 months without replacing media or co2. I was messing with the reactor and broke one of the fittings. So I have a replacement on the way now.

Great video explaining how everything works!! Do you have a link to the video how to program Apex to shut off the pump output to the sump when it hit the target PH 7.9?

I've been thinking about adding a calcium reactor to my 120 gallon setup. This is the best explanation of what equipment is needed and how to set it up that I have seen. Very nice job.

Basically that apex jr. with the EB8 bar is only to run your calcium reactor and the PH probe inside the reactor am I correct ?
When do I know when am in need of this reactor?
Dosing calcium and you mentioned alkalinity also, from the same dead corals inside the reactor you’ll get the calcium and the alkalinity ?
Thank you! Fincaster I mean John

I used calcium reactor media as substrate once in my 37 gallon reef tank. It was actually the best substrate I used for saltwater

One of the better videos I have seen on RUclips on setting up the Geo Reef Cal Reactor and the Electronic Carbon Doser!! This is the same exact same set up that I am getting ready to buy for my SCA 150 BUILD!

can you put link up for the Peristaltic Pump Specture Pure that he mentioned to use for the feedpump?

Great Video ! it happens that I have exactly same equipment :-) Just a question though; on the end of the video I think you are showing effluent line. The flow is constant estimated at hundreds drops per minute. Does the media have enough contact time with the water in your calcium reactor chamber? I'm setting up my calcium reactor system so I come across some material where the author is advising to set up effluent rate to 30 drops per minute and bubble count to 30 bubbles per minute and adjust from there....

I have a Geo 818 with CarbonDoser but I use a Sicce 0.5 as a feed and the needle valve which came on my 818 to regulate the effluent. I noticed you use the Litermeter pump and do not use the needle valve. Do you feel you get a much more consistent effluent output using this approach? I know my approach which was recommended by Geo produces inconsistent effluent flow where I need to adjust every other day. It’s quite frustrating. I set my effluent for about 60mlpm and within a day or 2 it slips to 45mlpm. So I tweak it back and within a couple of days I have to reset it. While my parameters are rock solid, I do think my setup is not quite the set and forget I was hoping it would be. Do you have any specific info on your feed pump and how it’s setup? Great video BTW.

I recently read that you can pull water from the reactor instead of pushing water in. Do you recommend this method?

I have a similar set up (reactor w/ secondary chamber). Did you have any issues priming the system? I am have issues pulling water from the tank into the reactor. I too have a kamoer (pulling) and it is not drawing water in from the secondary chamber. Thanks for any advise. Awesome channel btw!
