    I know this is a old topic but does the komoer needs to be calibrated in order to use a constant feed,I just bought one and ut seems yo work well without calibration, im not ti savy doing thing's like calibration.

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV 3 года назад

      All dosing pumps should be calibrated when first hooked up. Just the different lengths in line can through off the calibration. With the FX-STP it is rather easy to calibrate.

    No bubbles seem to be making it through the check valve to the bubble counter but ph controller shows ph goung down in the reactor as if its functioning as it should is it normal to see bubbles at the Guage counter and not the reactors bubble counter.

    I bough my CARBONDOSER ELECTRONIC CO2 REGULATOR from bulkreefsupply and the meter on the right pressure digits are different, my digits starts with 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 so on, looking at yours starts with 3 - 5 so on, not sure what's the exact pressure i should put on main, also what happens when PH stays almost the same 6.83 - 6.89 doesn't go down to a melting point which is 6.7 - 6.5 what should i do?

    Dang. i had hoped you'd have some more tips on this reactor. Mine is a bit noisy if I keep the co2 recirc line open all the time. I just keep it closed and purge it every now and again. any extra co2 just goes out the reactor into my 2nd chamber from an old vertex carx

      This video is the second in a series of 3 which covers how to hook up a calcium reactor with all the components. Make sure you subscribe. Our next and final video of the series will cover fine tuning, adjusting and troubleshooting a calcium reactor. There can be several reasons for the buildup of CO2 which I will cover in the last episode when I cover troubleshooting. Thanks for watching.

    thank you for having awesome product i bought the calreact 200 the retainer bracket didn't come with the unit, does 200 needs the bracket?

    • @CoralVueTV

      Sorry to hear that your reactor came with missing parts. Please submit a ticket at coralvue.com/support with your proof of purchase, address and a short statement regarding the missing part. We will have that sent out to you. The bracket I believe you are referring to retains the position of the top media containment sponge to prevent it from blocking any of the ports at the top of the reactor.

    How do we maintain the water flow through varios6 pump and kamoer so that it doesn’t overflow. I’m using the exact same set up with Kamoer pump running at 140ml/min yet when the Varios pump turns on, the tank starts to overflow from top (probe inlet). Pls suggest!

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV 2 года назад

      You only use one or the other to feed the reactor. I am guessing you have the FX-STP pump on the effluent line which will control the flow through the reactor. There is no need for a pump on the feed as the calcium reactors circulation pump will naturally draw water into the reactor. Also, 140ml per min is a very high dosing rate to be used.

    I never thought to use negative pressure on a calcium reactor. The coralvue blog says otherwise. Which way should I go with?

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV 4 года назад +1

      I suggest that the doser be used to control the effluent on the output if using a Reef Octopus Reactor.

    If DkH>9.5? Just wondering how you determined this without a Trident?

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV 2 года назад

      I am not sure if I understand your question. You can determine your tanks alkalinity with a simple test kit manually. If you are lucky enough to have a kH testing machine like the Alkatronic or KH guardian then testing can be done automatically.

    Should the dual bodycalcium reactors both have the acrylic brackets in them?

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV 3 года назад

      Only one retainer bracket comes with all Calcium reactors. It is just required to prevent the sponge form interfering with the flow channels in the upper portion of the first reactor.

    My local hardware store does not carry the proper barbed fitting for the reactor to adapt the Kamoer to the Guest fitting. What size fitting should I order for this purpose?

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV 5 лет назад

      the John Guest Push fitting we suggest is 1/4in male quick connect to 3/16" barb for the tubing like the one found here: www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?sku=58237&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0svGnuGE3wIVARFpCh3p6w7mEAQYAiABEgJsWPD_BwE

    Should I let the co2 circulation valve open or close it?

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV 5 лет назад

      You keep it open and only close it to purge air/excess CO2 from the reactor.

    He lost me when he put a line in the sump below water and connected to a valve what valve?

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV 3 года назад +1

      The intake line was submerged below the waterline of the sump. It then usually you have a check valve prior to the input if the reactor is placed above the sump and a regular valve if within or next to the sump.
