  • These new FLEX 24V Brushless Table Saws may extend the limits of the cordless table saw market. Who thought we'd be using a cordless table saw to rip 4x4 lumber? Obviously, FLEX did. We have the new FLEX FX7211 8-1/4" Compact Table Saw and the FLEX FX7221 10" Table Saw. Both run on the 24-volt FLEX battery, and they can also be powered by an AC/DC power adapter, allowing you to plug them into any typical outlet. The new FLEX Table Saws start at $449 with the bare 8-1/4" and go up to $799 for the 10" Kit with battery and charger. #flexpowertools #tools #shoplife

    It's great to see someone taking notes from Hitachi with the batter + AC adapter. All of the battery saws should have an AC adapter available IMO. Love the LED on the fence too. The fold out wing on the 8'' is awesome as well. Really digging what they are doing with this.

      I would say that the up to 3 battery replacement is actually pretty fair. I have only had to replace 2 of my batteries (which were my original batteries when I got them in 2020). I haven’t had a battery just die or not work. I see it as spend $230 (6 Ah stacked lithium) get $690 worth of batteries over the lifetime

    • @ferndogg84
      @ferndogg84 6 месяцев назад +4

      @@KalanYTRockthe batteries still work. I just used the warranty because of the therma gel leaking but the batteries still work great. All it is is an advancement on my batteries. And also with your logic if you have a battery that last for 10+ years and you get up to 3 replacement wouldn’t that mean you have about 30 years worth of a life off those 3 replacement batteries. I would also say that having batteries for that long probably means they aren’t working the same as they used to as far as efficiency and the technology is also changing too. I’m not trying to start some kind of argument, all I was saying is the value of the up to 3 replacement batteries is not that bad. I’m a fan of Flex and like what they do. I am predicting a future exchange of $750 for the 10" table saw in my possession as soon as it hits the shelves.
    I have being waiting 3 years for this table saw while make due with my Mafell track saw and my garbage Kobalt table saw having to deal with that horrible and inaccurate fence. A saw i had to pick up in a pinch several years ago.
    I wanted a great cordless table saw in 10" Milwaukee and Festool seemed to be the two best contenders. I wasn't impressed with the under power of Milwaukee. Festool foot print is just ridiculously too small. Oky so I also considered DeWalt but to my surprise one would think with their 60 volt flex volt batteries there it would be undeniable power galore but it was just a bad as the Milwaukee version.
    When FLEX came out one thing that seemed to evade all the tool commentators was the fact that they made a gigantic oversize 24 volt 12 amp hour battery that was inappropriate for all the tools they introduced. That was when i realized FLEX was serious about this platform and there was many many more tools in the making to fill the gap. So i bought a total of two 12 amp hour batteries and impatiently waited for a 10" table saw and a 12" miter saw. Without having either saws I just know these two tools will not let me down. At this point i am waiting for the Naysayers BS.

I had to buy another corded table saw trade out the fence because they said I had to return the table saw they wouldn't send me a replacement fence. I had to wait 2 months for it to come in after order. It burned batteries in about 1 min a battery. My cheap 100 dollar kobalt table saw is much better the cordless metabo table saw. Flex is a much better brand product and the warrenty is much better. Almost everyone of ny netabo tools has broken aone have not cone back from warrent y service and it's been months. I live in hawaii. When I make flex claims they handle it with in 1 week. Flex is the only reason I'm still doing construction. I like there power the batteries are the best by miles, the colors as well my tools don't look like hamnered shit after couple years of use. All my other tools look like skid row after a week

      I own the metabio I Call BS on you 4 yeas been using it on the job site every day no issues at all the battery's last 45 -1 hour on average it rips the 8 foot LVL he get for our stair stringer no issues handles the weight I bought the metabo rolling stand for it that they sell with there Corded version .. but 4 years no issues runs fine cuts perfect every time ........ hands down the best cordless table saw on the market in my opinion and I have been a Carpenter longer than you have been alive more than likely .. we had the dewalt its in the garbage no We have the Milwaukee but its been in for repair 2 times now ....... and we will see I will buy that Flex and see how it works and give a honest on the job Review with a professional Construction company Environment we will see if it like there Skill saws or there drills we got then I do not have High hopes for it got them both and they did not last the week before they where toast ... they had lots of power but can not handle the work environment every day use on a Construction site @@themacsho

      @@themacsho This guy is a leftover FLEX hater/Naysayers that despise every word Barnaby and Mike the plumber said. He believes that if Ford makes a full size pick up truck then Toyota Chevrolet and Dodge shouldn't
      Flex has one of the best warranty in the industry Maybe a little less than Hilti who has the absolute best

      @@rickyperkins232 the issue was they claimed to be the first which is simply untrue. the metabo saw has been out a pretty long time at this point.

      @@SaveTheSunF1R3x I listen to the entire video just now again but I didn't hear Tim mentioned "FLEX being first with an electric adopter" however I will agree that Metabo HPT had an electric power adapter many years ago, no dispute there.
