24-VOLT BRUSHLESS FLEX FX2141R Rear Handle Circular Saw Review

- FLEX didn't play any games when they made this saw. After the first rip cut through pressure-treated, 2x lumber, this FLEX 2141R Rear Handle Circular Saw had our attention. Nothing we threw at this saw made it even flinch. Sure, we could push it hard enough to shut down, but reset the trigger and we were quickly off to the races once again. The 10Ah stacked lithium 24V battery supplied ample Amps to the brushless motor, spinning the 7-1/4" blade to 6,200 RPM. You can get the FLEX 2141R saw for $249 as a bare tool, or purchase the kit as tested for $399. #itswhatsnext #flextools #flexstackedlithium

Tim, although it's been 2 years, the technology is very similar today if not the same. You do an outstanding job producing and articulating whatever product you're working on and you don't mince words, professional, the Midas touch. I greatly appreciate you is the English language properly! Keep up the exceptional work.
I just bought that saw for my 42nd birthday a cpl wks ago and EVERYTHING Tim said is completely accurate about that beauty!! love it. Great video Tim
I have mostly Milwaukee but needed a circular saw so i got a deal on skils new double 20v rear handle and it’s probably one of the best designed high powered saws I’ve use and made by same company as flex!
Flex's rear handle and 6.5 inline circular saws are just winners!
Yes, you are correct. That inline saw is pretty legit too. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews question, why is the Motors on all the FLEX circular saw so much smaller than all it's competition but so powerful?
@@rickyperkins232Makita circular saws motors are small to
Flex is doing really good in my opinion.
This kit is on sale for $250 through April 17th 2024 at lowe's
Great review. I just bought one on sale at Lowes for $299 for the kit. Guess I'm glad I waited a year to pick one up.
I wonder about the longevity. I'm heavily invested in Milwaukee. About $5000 in tools and $1500 in batteries. Getting into another platform is not ideal for me especially since i rarely use my Circular saw. Im super hyped they put the pressure on the other platforms to do better.
I'm a Milwaukee guy as well, finally they got some competition. Good for everyone
This saw is a monster, purchased the same version and the DeWalt 60V rear handle. Two battery powered monsters, true corded power with no cords.
Great review Tim, I just won a shelf of Flex tools from Belts and Boxes. Haven’t had time the try the saw yet. Seem like a beast!!
Congratulations, its nice to see people win.
TJ!!!
LET'S GO 🏁
6:18... if you are using it to rip all day you are
Can’t wait until these go on sale.
got mine for 263 after tax at lowes
5:00... I'm thinking they did this to take human error out of the equation...
There are people who like or dislike something based on its accuracy and complain if it isn't accurate so they take the human error out of the equation so that they can get the accuracy that Flex intended with this tool...very smart...🤓
Yeah that is awsome
That kit for 400 is a steal, 250 for the saw 330 for the battery and 150 for the charger is 730 when bought separately i might get this just for the battery
291 when combined with any other tool over 100 bucks. got the saw kit for 291(399) and the turbo hammer drill for 111(159).
@@kdworak4754 where and when I need this deal.
@@LARULES100 Lowe's everyday deals. Play around with your cart. Two tool bundles seem to get the most money off. the more you add after two tools the savings dwindle.
Sangat mengagumi alat ini.

It will be interesting to compare the Milwaukee rear handle saw powered by their new Forge batteries. I would imagine that it will put the Milwaukee on an equal plane.
Framers very rarely do plunge cuts. I worked my through college as a professional framer. Probably the only time is when you have to cut a complicated piece of plywood. I personally did not like to do plunge cuts because it is easy for the saw to travel and kick-back when you plunge cut with it.
looks exactly like the skil with twin 20v batteries
Does this saw have anti-kickback feature?
Is vibration dampened?
Can someone tell me where can I find a rip fence for this saw. Every cordless circular saw that I've seen doesn't come with one and they're so hard to track down. The store that sells the saw should sell the rip fence or the companies should just throw one in the box. Every time I wanna rip a 2 by 4 I gotta break out my makita corded saw and it sucks
Is there a way to put these saws on a guide rail?
No, you’d have to get a track saw for that or use a guide

Thank you very much.
Crazy how it cost more than Milwaukee
Cheaper than milwaukee and better for the same kit.More powerful and comes with a lithium stacked battery.
Is there any truth the tool blows to clears the site line like their jigsaw do?
Yes it does blow the sight line. Great feature
I don’t know if brushless motors in power tools are different but in the RC scene there are a lot of un-sensored or sensorless brushless motors. They usually just have a power and ground for however many poles they have. In these motor the “sensors” if you will is basically software watching the voltage feedback from the motor to determine if it’s spinning the correct direction or not. Generally once the motor is spinning, a sensored or sensor less motor performs the same. Where the sensors really matter is in very low speed low power control. A sensored motor will be just as smooth as a high end old school brushed motor while a sensorless motor can cog a lot especially if it’s only a two pole motor. Usually only use sensored motors in crawlers or touring cars where low super control matters a lot. Awesome video as always and even though I have no need for this I want it!
How does this Flex saw compare to the cordless Skilsaw 77? Has anyone made any comparisons?Inquiring minds want to know!
It’s got more rpm 6200 vs 5800 with the skilsaw but the skilsaw runs at higher voltage
@@almerino3497 would also think the Skilsaw cordless 77 would have more torque. A comparison is needed!
NEVER use a powered wrench to install a blade on a saw! You can strip the stud or even seize it. Use the wrench provided with the machine! It’s handle is designed so you can’t put too much too much force on the blade bolt.
I think you may be a bit lonely with that idea. Most trades people don't think twice about using an impact driver to install their blades. You definitely shouldn't over-tighten it, but it's not that delicate. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews I do not use powered wrenches on ANY of my saws-hand held or table.
I mean the arbor lock wasn’t on, it wasn’t gonna damage the bolt
You can use an impact to do delicate work unless you don't have common sense.
Флекс молодцы,у макиты слизали предустановку угла наклона
I would like to see you do a video with flex vs flexvolt dcs577 warehandle saw.
I believe very similar and want to believe in my emagination that flex is a new arm of Dewalt.
All of flex tools are built like Dewalt, the difference is in the color
Aren't you concerned that the sawdust port lets all the sawdust out right at the motor intake? Seems like a bad design and may shorten the life of the motor.
So a mechanic guy talking about saws? To me he sounded more like a representative of flex..
To me is,(1) Dewalt (2) flex (3) Milwaukee..
You are partially correct. Saws are not uncommon to us, and I know my way around the construction site too. Talk to anyone that's used this FLEX rear handle. It's no joke and very impressive. I like the DeWalt FlexVolt too, but not as much. Frankly, I think the dual-battery SKIL saw (same company as FLEX) does a killer job as well. Thanks for watching.
The Dewalt you get showered in sawdust working all daeh, but he does sound like a sales rep
Mine stops cutting before completing the cut... even on a 2x3. Unfortunately I lost my receipt and eventhough I registered before 30 days of purchase, no dice on that lifetime warranty... or even a 90 day in my case. I bought it but never used it until just before 90 days roughly. No way mine could cut like this guy's does. Pretty irritated for what their tools cost. Unfortunately I didn't have a receipt for half of what I own from them as they were gifts from my wife. Should've got the receipts from her. Be warned guys! Especially when you want to replace your leaking batteries.
put it up against the skill Wormdrive cordless why is every one scared to put it up against the True King of Saws
Цвет пилы мрачный. В остальном хорошая
Thanks for watching.
Charger died on second charge. Nothing similar to Milwaukee, not reliable, not good service. In Manitoba no service centers at all! And they want a receipt for any service. Milwaukee is much easier to deal with.. Flex is for diyers.
Holy Crap , I like Flex but they Copied a Lot of stuff right from the Makita 18/36 volt rear handle circular saw.....😂🤣🤣
