For people that currently don't know, yes it is possible to play crossplay in pc, phone and console at the same time. The downside is that only the pc or phone has to host so the console can join, also the one who host, has to be in the same internet connection with the one on console.

Not exactly. The old generation of consoles (3ds, ps vita, xbox 360, ps3) won't get any future updates The newer consoles (xbox One, ps4, ps5, Switch, etc) are already up to date, and those will be the ones getting future updates like cross play, 1.4.5, etc

Not at all! Cross play is a large thing to tackle, not to mention while working on the next terraria update as well Everyone at Relogic is still human and needs time to make these updates. Every update of theirs is filled to the brim with well thought out polished content, and that just wouldn't be possible if they were focused on rushing out updates instead of making the update actually enjoyable. In the end, whenever we get it, it will be better than if we got it earlier, as if we got it earlier, it might not be polished, or what relogic had in mind in the first place
