I found this video extremely helpful. I have been thinking of getting a gaming chair and as someone who is 6'5 and weighs about 270-280 i think a chair like the two you mentioned are needed. So I just ordered the Vertagear PL6000 because of you! Thanks for the vid.

Got one of these today. It came with a metal base (aluminum I think?) instead of a plastic base. It also has a bigger, more sculpted headrest. The arms are a little short but they're not uncomfortable for me. (I'm 6'2", 280 lbs). Love it so far. Got it off Amazon for $350 after a $30 off coupon.

one of the best thing about andaseat is that they had realized the requirements of all kind of customers. It's always hard to play the games in the traditional office type chairs, where the space was set for a limited type of person. But the chairs andaseat introduced has made it more responsive for every type of person. I weight over 400lbs, and i always found it hard to play games daily on a chair, but after buying this gaming chair, all of my troubles were resolved.
Thank you for this review. I just ordered this chair today because I was able to get financing for it. I've had such an issue finding chairs that I can afford. I spent $300 on a chair from Amazon and when I got it, I could not fit in it, the seat was not very deep and the armrests cut into my sides. I ended up just giving it to my girlfriend. So I'm very wary about purchasing chairs from the internet. I always look for reviews from big guys like me so I can make an informed purchase. Many thanks!

Good review. Most likely I will avoid this chair due to the armrests. Those are the little things that don't show up when you look at a chair online. Vertagear seems to be the masters at "thick boy" chairs. I'm going to have to use that expression.
Just have a look at the articles of anda seats and I am sure that you will be mesmerized.
Best PC chair is made of car seat. Seat of your choice (e.g. from wreck yard), some steel square profiles and little bit of welding experience and you have very comfortable chair for like 50-100$.
My brother got a Ford Fiesta seat and adapted it so he could play racing games on his gaming wheel. I visited him and checked it out. Best "chair" I've ever used for gaming.
i did exactly that, 1998 jaguar passenger seat with flat manual rails and lumbar support, 22mm sheet ply cut off screwed to a normal chair base and the seat bolted to that, still going strong after 5 yrs ohh and cost.. under £40 all in, seat alone was just £25

I like to see reviews like this, i'm not that big but i do have broad shoulders and my current chair my shoulders are on the edge of it :) but a good thing is that it doesn't have aggressive wings on it but i have tested other gaming chairs and sad to say that most of em don't account for someone that's around 6'4 with broad shoulders haha :) Currently using an Arozzi chair, budget one but happy with it so far and i've crashed in it a few times already

I'm a bigger dude too. 5' 11" 315 lbs. I went with the Anda Seat Assassin King Series. Bonded Leather, steel 5 star base (Plastic wheels though) Lumbar pillow and neck pillow have straps. It's $600 CDN but very well built. Pain in the ass to assemble the backing but once we (3 of us) figured it out. The rest was easy. Expect those plastic side plates like you mentioned. Great review man! How do you like it 3 years later?

Thank you so much for reviewing this, I'm a slightly bigger guy at 270Lb 5"8 and all these chairs are reviewed by these really skinny guys saying "oh there's a ton of space" Order the chair on Amazon and I have to return it cause it's tiny.
But the vertagear PL6000 is about $500 Up here in Canada, where as this Andaseat Dark wizard is $380, So i think I'll be going with the Dark Wizard and being 270Lb's i think The plastic base should be fine for me.
I'm on chair return #3 so far and i've learned to stay super far away from the GTRacing brand.
Anyways thank you so much for the review it was really nice to finally see someones perspective who is larger than a toothpick.

I bought a PL6000 based on your video. I love it. I'm about to put down another $400 so I can have one at work as well.
Do you feel the wings on the seat portion? Do they push into your thighs? I have the DXRacer King Series and those wings have metal bars in them. That is one of the annoying things I'm looking to correct in my next chair.
Is it your andaseat still working perfectly in 2019?
I worked in a chair factorly as a stock manager, and the most comon problem we had was the Gas piston not being able to hold weight, the seat wood breaking in the Arm rest join and where the metallic mechanism biting in the wood so bad it would break it. But never, ever we had a plastic star base braking issue. If its made properly, those plastic bases are sturdy as fuck.
Sorry for the necro post, please can you do an update video on how the Vertagear PL6000 is holding up in 2019? How is its seat holding up after so long? Any better options currently out there?
I heard that the Secret Lab Titan is a really good chair for all folks but especially for bigger and taller guys. It addresses the lumbar support needs via a proper integrated lumbar support instead of a separate back pillow, the way that's supposed to be.
Only has a weight limit of 290lbs. Which is high but for bigger boys like myself, not high enough lol

So I am curious how well your Vertagear PL6000 chair is holding up. I noticed that in this video you just used video footage of you laying all the way back in it from another video. I have been seeing lots of good and bad reviews for this chair. I've seen a lot talking about wheels breaking within a couple weeks.
I have one question. Are the racing chairs you have reviewed comfortable enough that you can fall asleep in ?
Are you sure the armrests dont adjust vertically? I didnt notice my chair did until a year after having it...
Have you ever considered using a lazboy crandel recliner in your gaming setup that way you can lay back and fall asleep after a long day

as a thicc gal myself, I thoroughly enjoyed this review. in july i purchased a 'RESPAWN 110' and by December it was wobbly af in the center. Definitely need to replace it and so I found this channel. Loved the review, Joker!

Yeah the short arms is a dealbreaker, I just bought the Vertagear.

Looks decent enough. But seems like another big and tall type product designed for big and tall customers with little to no input from actual big and tall customers. Alot of products like that lack alot of thought into what is actually needed.

Whats the best overkill heavy chairs, im only 120kg chair and i cant find a chair what is built well enough for my weight (1kg is roughtly 0.450lbs)

Gaming chair, another thing that super subjective, you either love a brand or try to find the best and dicover there isnt really a best, their very similar. I just want a chair that is big enough for me to move and comfy, dont want a chair thats very hard and dont want those tight racing seats that you can only sit straight, i like to sit in different positions, not just locked in. That one has a big seat, thats cool, but +400 is crazy. But the thing is, a chair you keep for years, so considering that might be worth it. The chair im sitting on right now i have for maybe 10years, its an office chair, the size is big i can sit however i want, but its kinda hard, so looking to buy one id like same size seat but more cushioning, but not gonna buy one any time soon.
