Now THIS is the man I want reviewing chairs. I don't care about the chair looks, color, style.. I need to know this chair is going to hold me and that the arms aren't going to rip off when I push up out of it. I was a bit let down to see you did this review after owning this chair for only a week but I saw your other video over a year later and you're still using it so I'm sold. I have some serious respect for this guy and how open he is about this all. My dad is a big guy and uses one of my kitchen table chairs for work on the computer which is made of wood, lol. This is the perfect gift for him, thanks for such a great review.
Thanks man for the honest review and great video. I'm looking for a big man chair and this one might be it. I was 406 lbs and went down to 276, but unfortunately let myself creep up back to 325. But it's a constant battle as you know. Great job.
Gaming chairs are expensive but well worth it...I personally got tired of breaking cheap chairs so I picked one up a few months back.
I have to say that after owning a few gaming chairs, I've always been disappointed with them. The only chair I've ever really felt was worth it is my current one, a herman miller aeron. I have to recommend buying nice office chairs over the gamer stuff.
PreciseShoryuken It's all a matter of dong the research and finding the right chair for your needs and not on looks (not saying you did).
I also got tired of breaking cheap chairs : p I'm happy now with my maxnomic 'classic office' :)

What i like about Joker is the transparency and truth with what he talks about. Not only that but the actual achievements he's been getting is losing weight while at the same time being blessed (and sort of cursed at the same time) with a stay-at-home job! It takes a lot of effort to be able to lose that weight with a career like that, so kudos to you man. I just lost 80 pounds this year myself, going from my biggest of 266 down to 186.

when i first got mine i was really scared it would snap if i went all the way back like that. im about 130kg, but no, the chair holds up incredibly well. i can even sort of throw myself back in the chair and not worry about it snapping. its very sturdy and really comfy lol.

I believe I am going to go with one of these chairs thanks to your review. I have tried several chairs and they are just not comfortable. My current chair is the closest I have found and it is a nice chair. But I spend a lot of time gaming for my channel and it just kills me after awhile. I usually have to sit kind of sideways after awhile to be comfortable. So thank you for this review.

I'm beginning to think I want to try one of these. Ikea just doesn't make 'em for us taller/bigger guys, and I've heard horror stories about people using brands like DXRacer... $379 seems like a hell of a deal though, for what you get. -Hutch

Somewhat similar situation, thanks for sharing this chair, I'm getting one.
I have the DX racer classic and it's really nice. Doesn't have the raised edges on seat bottom or the back. Feels more like my truck seat. I'm 6'1 at 200lbs and it's a good fit.
I have a HUGE problem, I'm 6'5" AND I'm big. At my heaviest I was 485, and gaming chairs I couldn't use. I used things like recliners with wireless KB and mouse, threw the KB on my stomach and mouse on the arm cushion. My WoW guild was amazed I could actually raid playing like that when the topic came up about how your set up for raid, considering we'd raid for at least 4 to 6 hours pushing heroics down on progression nights.
Glad to see a big guy doing some reviews on chairs like this. I would easily fit into that chair now, as I started to lose weight in Feb of this year, I'm currently down to 355 pounds. I'm still big, but it's a massive improvement. Went from 7x to 3x shirt size so far and 8x to 4X or 5X on waist.
Glad to see you are taking care of your weight Joker, don't let it own you anymore. My last GF died before 40 years of age in her sleep because her heart gave out. That was a huge thing for me to deal with, and one of the motivating factors to change my life this year, among some health issues that caused me to lose a job last year.
Anyways, bit off point, but this is a very specific type of review that you just don't get to see. It's like when you see clothes catalogs, even the Big and Tall ones, they have tall, normal build models, and you are like but WTF does that look like on a big guy!? Most chair reviews are done by people of average weight, so you have no clue if it's gonna be comfortable or not, or not break from your weight!
I'll never be able to afford this specific chair though lol
like the big guy says in his video I am over 6 foot and had my pl6000 for over a month now and it fits me great I do suggest this chair as well.

I have the first revision by ~7 months now. No issues. Still great. I'm 6'2" (187 cm) I always wanted a chair that I can lean my head on. It should be great even for 195 cm guys. I'm only ~100 kg but I wanted a chair that I won't have to replace the next year due to cathastropic failure after living 6 months with it with partial failures. In a sporty car tight chairs make sense so you don't slide while taking corners fast, but on a pc chair it's just marketing bullshit. I have decently wide shoulders, spent few years in the gym, but I have no issue in the holder area. In the side abdominal area, if you look like the guy in the video most likely you won't fit in it, probably that's why he uses that lombar pillow, but personaly I found it useless and uncofortable. The first revision tends to be a bit of a hard chair, I mean after 1+ hours on the chair you'll feel the need to raise from it as your legs might start to hurt. But being hard, means that until now it maintained it's shape. I got it for 375 euro/400 usd, overall it's a great chair, I went for it solely for the fact that it is made to support 200 kg which I hope means it won't fail like my previous 100 usd chairs that even if I was under the reccomended 120 kg still failed, got tired of replacing parts, with more heavy duty ones, and eventually getting some useless parts too I just snaped. As far as I can think of this is probably the chair that worths the most of it's 400 usd. To assemble the first revision I did had to enlarge a hole so I can screw the base in place using a drill bit for metal, probably would have went better with a round file. I also had to cut a bit of leather to fit the backrest screws. I assume they fixed these issues in revision two which seem to have some different side design.Overall great chair once assembled, but a bit hard to assamble due to improper holes and the difficult way of installing the backrest..
Going to be buying this tomorrow over the DX Racer thanks to this review. I heard a lot of people say the DX Racer isn't that comfortable. I'm going to buy the Vertagear SL4000. Thanks for the review Joker!

xDANIEDx You probably already bought it but Noble Epic is another gaming chair alternative to DX Racer and Maxonomic.
Yeah i went for the e-blu cobra x as my chair and i love it for 200 cant beat that . Im big but not huge but i still needed the bigger cobra x version. IM 5'10 240 and the chair fits perfect for me .

Vertagear is fantastic great build quality
bought this around 1 and half year ago. best chair i had in long time. it broke 23 dec 2018, cause was heavy load over long time. the seat slowly bended. the bending lead to eventully the back mechanic braking. i give it 8,9 out of 10 for comfort and 7,6 out of 10 for sturdiness.

good to see you man. I just like your way of doing reviews You always consider different standpoints and peoples needs, really solid. I really like your clean setup of your workspace and since you're working from home would you consider doing a video about how you keep everything in order, motivate yourself and keep your focus while working in the same desk you are gaming ? I'ts interesting to me because you put in alot of work and you have grown alot over the last few years, so it would be interesting to see your approach about working from home and dividing freetime and work.

It's great to see an actual big guy review a big guy chair. I see little guys reviewing the big guy chairs and complaining about how big it is even though it isn't big at all for guys our size.

@@jedimaster1534 It's solid and I find it comfortable, the arm rests leave a little to be desired, but they carry out their function 100%.
I like that I can sit here with stability, lean back in my chair and have no problems with it :)
Nothing is every 100% perfect but this is close for me anyway, glad I bought it.

@@NewProGamer122 I have been using a Secretlabs for almost 3 years, the PL6000 was absolute garbage, I had a component replaced after 4 months, and after another 4 months, a different component failed, and the store I bought it from wanted proof of destruction so that I could get a full refund.
Terrible experience in the long run sadly.

Bloody hell finally, i big dude doing a chair review, iv been really on and off with buying a gaming chair just cos i was worried about the size, im pretty biggish my self weighing at 125kg-127kg and bloody hell its hard to find a chair that i can say "yep, i can sit my fat ass in that", all i can say is great review, great quality and you've got a sub.
The chair’s lowest position is too high for me at 5’10”. Bought a few aftermarket gas cylinder lifts to replace the one included and have it lowered. Couldn’t find one low enough and there isn’t much room for a smaller one with the smallest one I could find.

i bought the chair too but does anyway find the seat hard?ive had it for for a month now and i emailed 4gamer about the seat and their response was the seat takes time to be broken in.

I can't imagine how hard it must be to find a good chair for you big guys. I'm using a cheapass $30 chair and it's fairly decent, but if I ever start working as much as you I'd probably be inclined to get a chair like that too. That is also the sexiest chair design I've seen yet.

im kinda big too and in simple office chairs my arss is in pain after a couple of hours! is this one soft enough for marathons n stuff like that?

I'm a really big dude, and I also suffer from pretty severe chronic pain too. I'm a gamer and most chairs just don't work for me or cause me alot of pain, and it's starting to get frustrating. I'm not working right now because of a severe accident I had which caused me some bad injuries and lots of surgeries, so affording a chair like this is..... really difficult on disability. I want one, it would make my life alot better until I get healthier, cause this looks like a well made product, but damn it's just out of my price range. Great video none the less, gives me hope that there's atleast chairs made for people who aren't average sized.

First off congrats on the weight loss! That is awesome! Have you had any issues with the base breaking yet since that was a quality issue with the chair in the past? I just got mine a few days ago and hopefully there are no quality issues with mine.
How well do the cushions hold up over time? I have been having problems with cushions going flat.
