During the 90's Waco and Ruby Ridge were known nationwide despite being in the middle of no where. Hope County doesn't doesn't make sense. There would be news reports from the Alphabets all over that county. I liked that Farcry 4 took place in the middle of the Himalayas in a fictional country based on Bhutan. It was an isolated, exotic location with little to no interaction with the outside world. Farcry needs to take place in those faraway places where UN Peacekeepers fear to tread. Or the US Military doesn't give a enough of a Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo to launch airstrikes.
A Venezuelan breakaway Narc-State after the government in Caracas collapses in a Civil War. Filled to the brim with FARC communists guerillas, CIA agents, Chinese One Belt One Road paramilitaries, and mountains of cocaine. Somewhere in the Congo with Diamond mines, Oil wells, Chinese One Road One Belt Paramilitaries, Hash, and the added bonus of Ebola Quarantines. Nothing says preventing the outbreak of a deadly, mutating virus (or war crimes for that matter) like flamethrowers and straw mud huts. Throw in some Willie Pete to really stir the pot.
If a game developer is going full retard on the story and location. Give it enough of a base in reality to be believable. Really test those Censors and Moral Busybodies. See how far their grey matter goes after their heads explode. Farcry 5 and its pastel colored sequel is a bland, safe, paint by the numbers game.
I am disappointed that the middle paragraph is not a real game in real life.
Interestingly enough, they do explain why there has been no response from the govt in the game. Car radios and certain portable radios can sometimes be heard broadcasting a series of outside events that progress with the story of the game. If you listen closely, the player can discern that World War 3 has begun and there is an ongoing nuclear war. In the context of those broadcasts, you can understand why the US govt would probably ignore an upstart extremist movement in a single Montana county, and turn more of their focus to *the nuclear war that is going to kill everyone*.

@@Tayroy Playing some zoomer new recruit in an Army Special Forces unit about to insert into the Congo. Some boomer plays Fortunate Son but you record scratch turn that shit off and then play some soundcloud rapper right before an RPG-7 comes up from the jungle canopy and takes out the rotor. You deathspin into the jungle and lose your squad and have a dying helo pilot with the map to help guide you out over the radio but you can't use the radio much because the rebels are monitoring the airwaves.

The thing that’s always bugged me was that a whole sheriff’s department, a whole county, a US Marshall, the local doomsday cult, at least 1 military radar facility, a FBI agent, and a high profile political candidate just up and disappear with no contact to the outside world for at least a month and there isn’t federal agents and national guard crawling all over the place, I get it that WW3 is on the verge of happening, but this sort of stuff wouldn’t just get overlooked like it does in the game
Like why isn’t AT&T out there trying to figure out why all their cell towers got taken out? Also where the hell was the sheriff’s station? I’ve heard it was one of the burned buildings in Fall’s End but those look like houses, and it can’t be the jail since it was supposedly closed for years before the cult took over

The medical application of shoulder pat, saying “you’re good”’, and then holding their hand is greatly underused. Apply tactical butt pat instead of hextend when it really gets dicey.

I know it means you manned the phones but my 'tism(legit I have a diagnose and everything and the state pays me to leave normal people alone) just had this weird idea of police dispatchers actually kind of being an assassin and that the boots on the ground cops are kind of like your bullets. My mind goes odd places sometimes.
This is also the first game I have ever seen a shovel used as a javelin. French Canadians have some strange ideas about things.

I just think that the fact Sheriff Vehicles don't appear in game is unsettling. Why would they not at emergency vehicles? There is a clinic that could probably have an ambulance, there is a county jail where they would have a police car or some type of police van, I haven't ran across any fire stations yet but it's all so strange that no Forest station has a fire truck. It's another Insight which in my opinion makes the game confusing. Maybe they didn't want to seem to pro-police or something to the left community, but I still find annoying. And the biggest issue in the game in general, the lack of basic thought, lack of the story, and the lack of AI being intelligent.

I know, we piece it together in a later episode. It just superficially represents one and my brain said "This is what the game designers were trying to portray without doing so in such a way to get sued". In reality it looks like an ambi .308 upper without a forward assist, maybe a Mega Arms MATEN or similar. The Handguard looks like the Daniel Defense MFR M-Lok and the stock is a Magpul mashup.

Those are not ACR's. Those are AR-15s.
ehhhhhhhhhhh, they're a weird hybrid of the two. They sure look like they're supposed to be ACRs, but have an AR charging handle, mag and bolt release, IMFDB and /k/ found the upper is a 3/4 scale 308. AR10 variant. Lot's of cheap fakes of real world stuff on there, like the surefire flash hider and DD rail. The lines where the two receiver halves mate looks a hair more ACR/Masada to me but the magwell and all associated is obviously AR.
So, like nearly everything else in the game, GTA style hybridized junk. The trucks, planes, cars, helicopters, many guns. Was unimpressed.
@@TheOnlyMasterChef Then again, you can make an AR-15 look like damn near anything due to the massive amount of manufacturers and aftermarket parts. Hell I bet there is a kit to turn one into a Bullpup rifle.

Ehh, used to work on birds, just to work on them again, for a good cause, I’d do it for minimum wage, of they paid for my certs I’d need out here, provided all the tools and equipment I needed, but it’d have to be a Huey, o won’t work on those gay ass blackhawks, oh yeah, it’d have to be a two blade also. But it’d part time, as I couldn’t make enough money, if full time, would have to be civilian contractor rates, then I’d buy my hand tools, haha. Mainly boxes is what I’d need, and a better meter. Would be fun though, sadly would only have 1 to work on, maybe 2…not 25+ and no crazy missions/cool stuff.
