- Good day my beautiful people. I hope everybody’s well. I went up north to my cousins house for the weekend. Had a lovely lovely time and I had about four thrift stores didn’t find too much but had a really nice time just browsing around looking at stuff.

Yep it’s Ludacris here and we just had another tax on our houses of 10% and we just had a new environment raise to so everything‘s gonna go up another 15%. Yeah we have the worst Prime Minister in the world he’s destroying our country I’m so unhappy with him. Does it sound like it, it’s not just me. I think everybody is but I don’t know Canadians need to do something about it anyways not for that. Have a beautiful day.

Oh you’re too kind …thank you if I had the proper equipment, I would videotape myself more I do have a tripod but every time I set it up then I the volume doesn’t work right it’s just one thing after another I bought new microphones they work, and then they stopped working they work then they stop working in this. Firstly, you looked fabulous darling sporting that fur with your fierce black shades. I want to let you know you are a natural at You Tube. You gradually improved n now your a pro at it. I have now watched 95% of your videos from the beginning because I found you to be a very interesting person. I have never done that until now. Now, I feel like I know you a little bit at least on this platform. Your right, Saturdays or weekends are not great thrifting days as they're picked over. Your thrift stores are big and shelves are well stocked. Enjoyed your family Easter footage. The recipe book was so sweet. I want you to know you have inspired me to finish decorating both my eclectic living room n my French Country Cottage bedroom. I am also having my adult son take down my gorgeous China set from a tall shelf so I can display it in my new glass display my daughter bought me for this last X-mas. When I was 20 I took recipes of my mom and her 5 sisters and compiled a recipe book for all our family. In the front I did the family tree in calligraphy. I’m 75 now and still using their recipes. It brings me good memories and only 2 of my first cousins are living. One is 85 and one just turned 90. They still have copies of the cookbook tho they’re not cooking anymore. I’m so glad I made them for my family. Thanks for reminding me of the joy I had putting them together.💕💕 Have a wonderful time with your cousin.😃😃💕💕

Yes, we had two different dinners. It was absolutely beautiful to spend time with them and next weekend I’ll be at my sisters.🍃🌸❤️ flying to Alberta and then driving for six hours north Alberta she gets the northern lights so hopefully we’ll get to see that.

If one gets up to upper Wisconsin away from the city lights there are some beautiful auroras there. Hello Brooke, how beautiful it is to have recipes handed down from generation to generation. My mum had a book too with all her and dad’s handwritten recipes which they perfected after several attempts. Mum grew up watching her own mum cook without ever measuring ingredients and so she happily carried on the tradition with her own daughters. Cooking with mum and dad were some of the most cherished moments in my life and I always remember them with the deepest fondness. Though I consider myself a good baker, I could never compare myself to mum - she was simply brilliant. I’m glad you bought that pheasant print. The colours are gorgeous. You clearly had a fun time with your cousin and her family which was lovely to see. The food looked so delicious, especially the roast but my goodness - so expensive! Yes, it’s beautiful to have those old recipes. My cousin said I could have the book but I said no I’m just gonna take a few of the recipes. I don’t need the book but I do like the handwriting on it actually have a one of my mom‘s recipes in my pantry and I framed it and I think it’s more for the handwriting than it is for the recipe, have a beautiful day. Oh, 🤩 the Johnson Brothers plates and cups are so beautiful. The tea cups are really nice for serving fruit, or pudding with whipped cream... a little repurposing idea. 😊 That pattern is lovely.
I'm arranging to go visit my aunt 2 hours drive away near Lake Ontario, to have lunch with her and I accepted her sweet offer of the Johnson Brothers service for 8 after all. (Brooke you advised me to accept! 😊) The pattern is Sheriton. It's gorgeous and will look nice on display in my corner cabinet after I paint it blackish milk paint called Eclipse. Probably valued at $250-300 😮
I'm down with Lymphedema and sciatica, running (haha running??no, hobbling along) to my doctors trying to find the cause... I've been to 3 so far. I'm missing the Blue October concert tomorrow in Syracuse NY because of my health. 😢 Boooo hiss. Tickets were a Christmas gift from my son, and I really wanted to go!

I remember the food at Eaton Center (many moons ago) was superb. Tarts tarts and more delicious tarts. I could never get tired of that. And decades later, not a tart in sight here unless you go to Wegmans or a patisserie.

They tried the bag of milk where I live in BC but it was not popular. Now, we pay a 10c deposit on a plastic milk container and it is refundable either back at the store or at a recycle depot. I guess every method keeps things out of the landfill!
