Every time I want to make a new video, which isn’t often in this post-pandemic world we’re living in, I go to get everything set up, including microphones for my drum set, cameras, lights, learning/writing a song, recording, editing audio, recording/editing video, it seems so daunting. And then I just don’t do it. Major props. 2020 is weird.

How to move a shelve unit like a pro (and it so fits my obsessive compulsive or something): 1. Remove screws, 2. Clean the shelf unit; 3. Move said unit; 4. Remove anchors from the wall; 5. Fill the hole with drywall putty; :) Love it. Love the monochrome look too. Greetings from The Rock guys.

Love it. 2020 pro tip: I've started walking around my neighborhood for 30-60 minutes listening to podcasts every morning and it has changed my life. Super "old man" thing to do but the days I've skipped it, I've felt like garbage. Good work!
Just finished my graduation last month and going to join my first job this Wednesday, was feeling so low on productivity since the last few days and was just getting through the days hardly, this is what I really needed to listen to even though I was enjoying this time to myself, although felt bad quite a few times for not being productive enough. Also I finished watching almost all of your videos from your channel in last couple of weeks or so, wanted to get finished with them all coz of the aesthetics, started with the vlog where you two flew over Niagra falls really low! Videos have turned into my Everest, so the fact that you got one done is AWESOME! It's SO MUCH WORK to set up for filming, and so much mental energy to film and I feel like I'm using up all my energy just in going to my day job. What little I have left goes into finding spots to shoot wildlife photos...and I have no idea how to make a good video out of that.

Covid has been weird but in a good way for me. Mostly the creativity has gone through the roof. Learned FPV, now back to photo thanks to Chris. Can’t wait to share them stories. Peace to you both.
I feel you Becki, on the feeling super motivated a few days and not motivated on others. I'm used to going out and meeting clients and going to an actual office, I run an advertising & consultancy agency. And you know how lively and creative, agency environments are. Compared to that I've been stuck in my home office for months. Only so much one can do with video meetings, before motivation suffers.
Decluttering helps clear space in your head as well. I always feel that as the days go by and the more you're working , things build up in your head and your work space, and it helps to completely clean everything and reset. 👍

What’s it called when you watch a video and it’s your exact life and you keep being like what? and then at the end it gets even more relatable because you haven’t posted a video in 1 million days and just needed a win so pushed through to post something today too For real loved your rawness here. Cleaning glasses, measuring wall, felt unplanned in the best possible way and somehow a little different from your usual authenticity and I loved it.
One of the things I want to point out from this video, you can go to 8:00 to see what exactly I’m talking about, that I think Becki briefly went over, was the fact that taking a shower, getting dressed, cleaning yourself up, maybe some make up or a new hairstyle or cologne and make a shave or whatnot, goes a long way in making an impact in our daily lives. Yea, definitely, the normal we knew is gone, and 2020 has definitely violated us as individuals and as a body (humanity). One of the major issues with 2020 isn’t the Pandemic, natural disasters, deaths of millions, bombings in the Middle East... oh for sure, that shit’s terrible ...but instead the constant daily battle each one of us faces. I remember Beck stating she feared for her husband coming back infected after an entire day working at the hospital and that is a real struggle! My point is that the main struggle this year has been the struggle every man person faces as an individual, as a parent, as a spouse, as a child, etc. This has become our “new normal”. And with that struggle comes fear, pain, depression, anxiety, etc, and one of the things that I wanted to point out is that the simple task of getting up and taking a shower, getting cleaned up, getting your “beaut” on, goes a long way not only physically, We all know y’all are beautiful and gorgeous, but also mentally!! I have to constant implement this Into my day because the majority of my days are just plain, wake up, shower, eat, think about what to do, Waste time, shower, and then knock out, hit the reset button, and when I force myself to get ready as If I was going to go out or see someone, my mind automatically goes into action mode and that’s where I take advantage and I complete the tasks that I want and even need to do such as edit photos, videos, create content for various other projects, work on some university projects, etc. I just felt the need to share this. I hope I made myself clear, I sometimes, all the time, have the tendency to stray away from my main point or even go in circles or talk to much to get to the main point, whoops Lol.

I live in a condo and it sucks getting in and out of here without running into people, so I definitely don’t go out as much and shopping in stores is just no fun. Videos are a lot of work. Yeah, it can really be challenging at times. I recently took a quick sidestep with a video idea I had on a whim after noticing my lens needed a firmware update. The topic should be helpful to people that use the same camera system and gave me that little bit of accomplishment. Sometimes an easy 1-2 day project like that is nicer in the moment.
Do anything that you need to to take care of yourself. Plus it is really nice to see that there are people who are being people in all of this. This video is great. I am rambling just trying to say that. LOL.

I’ve convince my 11 almost 12 year old that she needs a matte black wall in her bedroom.... well, I really convinced my wife that it would look great... My daughter has a small nook beside her closet that my brother in law built a custom floating desk and upper cupboard/shelf for and the back wall in matte black would make this desk pop. The desk has a natural wood surface but the draw fronts and cupboard doors are black. So... it’s a go! Can’t wait!
Definitely struggling with productivity too this year... i’m always trying to find the balance between just getting things over with even if they are not perfect and taking time to rest when it’s one of those days. Also « I like to shop my house for things instead of buying new things » is a mood haha

I’ve convince my 11 almost 12 year old that she needs a matte black wall in her bedroom.... well, I really convinced my wife that it would look great... My daughter has a small nook beside her closet that my brother in law built a custom floating desk and upper cupboard/shelf for and the back wall in matte black would make this desk pop. The desk has a natural wood surface but the draw fronts and cupboard doors are black. So... it’s a go! Can’t wait!

Definitely struggling with productivity too this year... i’m always trying to find the balance between just getting things over with even if they are not perfect and taking time to rest when it’s one of those days. Also « I like to shop my house for things instead of buying new things » is a mood haha

I feel you on the 2020 productivity level Becki. One day I’m super motivated to get things done and the next day I could literally just stay in bed all day haha. I think we need to understand that this year is weird and big emotional swings are ok. Just remember to take care of yourself first ❤️.

It’s a bit of an issue in this video but I try not to care about it too much. Light placement is key though, getting it up high enough to not see it.
