Howdy, yall! It's been a while, hasn't it? Last video was uploaded a little more than a year ago! Jeez, where does time fly? I apologize for taking so long to upload new content, but you have to understand that I recently graduated college and am busy with working two jobs. One of them being working at a Television Studio doing Motion Graphics and Design!
Believe it or not, I was planning on a making a certain video right after Super Toad Run last year for the summer, but the voice actor I had planned kindaaaa flaked on me, so I had to come up with a new idea since I thought that voice actor fit the role for a character really well. Oh well, maybe this year? Despite...summer being a few months away...
Anyway, if you've noticed or not, but back in late summer of 2017, there was a resurgence or revival of the Mario Calamity trope. There were calamities being made everywhere. Last prominent calamity that actually got attention were both Goal calamities back in 2015, was it? One of them being mine and the other that should not be named. So, what better time to make this video then? Yup, that means I've been working on this video since end of August 2017. MORE THAN HALF A YEAR. Maybe the video length has something to do with it...Also, I hope I'm not too late to the party. Wink wink
Overall, this video was video was to be "self-aware" of the whole concept as well as my own channel! So take everything with a grain of salt. No need to get offended or whatever. I won't go into too much detail just in case. Side note, notice the time length of this video. That is literally the length of a normal episode of whatever show you watch. I'm not trying to do this on purpose. I thought Super Toad Run was going to be the longest video I ever had but, of course, I prove myself wrong again. Ughhh.

Personally, if this was supposed to just be a April Fool’s Day shot, I would of made the first shot of Mario actually destroying the castle, him looking paranoid before celebrating and walking off. The rest of the time would just be on that shot were the castle once was as the rest of the inhabitants go about on their daily lives.

Wow, this is amazing! Its pretty much a tribute to all the flash animations that have ever been since Jeremy Simms. This even includes all the other random stuff. Pure gold, I was very much amused throughout the whole video, catching most or all of the references. The new stuff was awesome too!

I have nothing wrong by seeing you taking inspiration from my content, but leaving it as-is without even mentioning me makes me a bit upset. I can see as well that the part 1:10 is very similar to Starjeti's MQBCC part. You might add an "inspiration" section in the credits, or if you don't want too, modify it enough to make it unoticable :^)
I'm not saying I disagree, but you have to keep in mind that that's the point of this video. These calamities are so saturated that ideas are starting to overlap unintentionally with everything else that is out there. In this case, your hat throwing 5 sec bit was inspired by you, yet the Mario Maker part was not intentional which I had to dig up just now. Not to mention that this hypothetical inspiration list would be way too unconventional not just for me, but for everyone else. .

Wow just wow, if there was ever a video to like celebrate Mario Sprite animation on the internet as a whole, this is the one. I watched the crap out of this type of thing back in the day, from your stuff (I remember the Plan X days lol), Castle Calamities, SMB3 Bloopers and of course SMBZ. However, this video here, has shown just how far we've come since those days, this absolutely blew me away and it must of taken so much hard work and passion to make this. If you told me this had taken 5 years to make or something, I'd believe it, this took me right back to my childhood. When you did the Millenium Quest intro thing I was just stuck in a state of amazement of how good this was. SMBZ holds a special place in my heart for how much it inspired me as far as fan content can go, but I saw what you did here and I had to question whether or not you just topped Alvin's work in the span of like 2 minutes, haha. But still, back to the overall video, it had such great writing and production values, the humor was great and this was so creative. Glad to see you're still around, I can totally understand the wait for new content, art like this takes time. The history of mario calamity
1930: The 30s was an old time for cartoons, they were always filled with slapstick. The short featured a fat old man who tries to destroy a castle, it eventually backfires. It became popular was made out to become a movie.

I wasn't expecting a full blown comedic interview after the first couple of minutes of usual Castle Calamity stuff! I have to say, this was outright impressive and funny!
SMBZ Parody, Hal and Jeff references... everything you need in a usual Mario-related video, haha. Yeah the market's a bit over-saturated with the whole Calamity thing as there's only so much you can do before things overlap and you see the same thing in some variety or another. But yeah, the whole video poking fun at everything was executed and animated brilliantly - great job! One heck of a nearly 30-minute April Fools video!
