Must have been a typo.
. . . This was fun viewing.
Never saw this as a child, being a sixties baby, really quite amusing, Havent had many spy dramas' or comedies not since Get Smart and Mission IMpossible, god I wish they'd uplaod some of these shows!!!! in english subtitles
Too bad Hulu or Netflex doesn't carry it. I have the DVD set. Illya and Napoleon were working colleagues. They had girlfriends and were NOT gay as made by video makers. Just because they were friends who worked well together, that didn't make them any closer. Besides, Illya preferred dark-haired ladies-except for the lady David's wife played (Marion). Loved the humour in "MFU".
You don't have to strain your imagination to see similarities between MFU and Archer. Yes the later is built on comedy but they lifted many ideas and situations from MFU. Get Smart deserves a mention as well.
English? Subtitles? Native SCOTTISH speaker are we lass? Last I heard, this was IN English!
@@virginiaconnor8350 Now that has really bucked up my day. That David preferred brunettes.Yet Jill Ireland was blond.Actually I recall that episode well.Marion having a party & Illya dropping by.Her indignant "I nearly got killed!"And his "Those were exiting days!"
3:31 Daniel J. Travanti, later Frank Furillo in Hill Street Blues, I think.
James Toupin...
Yep. Your correct it was Travanti.
In some of his early TV shows, he spelled his last name Travanty.
MAD magazine at the time referred to Illya Kuryakin as Illya Nutcrackin'. Juvenile but brilliant.
TIME MACHINE DAM LIFE WAS COOL BACK IN THE DAY BUT THE TIME MACHINE WILL REMIND US WHEN LIFE WAS LIFE BUT NOTHING LAST FOREVER THATS THE SAD PART OF LIVING COOL SHOW FOR ITS ERA OF TV TODAY TV HAS RUN OUT OF IDEAS TIME MACHINE OF GOOD OLD RERUNS TV BEST TWO SECRET AGENTS
I remember man from Uncle when I was a child!!!! Back then I was watching the re runs!!!! I like the show!!!!
You shouldn't love this show because I had a nightmare that David McCallum was in a morgue with a dead body
R.I.P. David and Robert.
Watched this as a young kid back in the day. Like all kids we didn't know it was a spoof, hard to believe nowadays but I had a toy 22mm Luger pistol favoured by Illya Kuryakin and the broom handle Mouser Napoleon Solos choice. Shoulder holster badge the lot and I was may be 6 e or 7 years old. Somehow they made the Cold War era back then some kind of hip cool thing. Anyway loved it and the music was cool
I had the brief case spy kit with real working camera.
@@tetalonstarfyre2419 Yeah fantastic, I never managed that I'm jealous, ha, best regards
If you syncopate the UNCLE opening theme, you get the Mission Impossible theme !
@@tetalonstarfyre2419 I recall having a yellow UNCLE ID card.
@@susanmccormick6022 Nice
Strange seeing him as an elderly doctor in Navy CIS and boasting about Edinburgh when in fact he was from Glasgow.
Well done, great editing and funny. Thank you.
Sonny and Cher Bono were on Man from U.N.C.L.E.!
Seasons 1-2 were great , then they went “ campy” it lost its edge
So true!
That's correct. They were trying to compete with Batman, which was ALL campy and also getting higher ratings. The switch caused fans to leave and their ratings crashed. They tried going back to the old style in the last season, but by then it was too late and got cancelled . Remember one of the first episodes, with "Cpt.Kirk" and "Spock" ??
Currently watching my DVDs. 😊😊😊
Love the way they teased each other, like Spock and Dr. McCoy.
Very good "Tronyfree"! Brings back wonderful memories when things were simpler back then.
I loved those shows as they were very entertaining and very accurate even though our own "agencies" did NOT want us to now about. Similar to INTERPOL in some ways, but not the same.Too much corruption even now and inside the U.N.)
I later went into the USSS in Wash.D.C.(1974) and also took care of Embassy Security(FMD) as well as counter-terrorism and The White House-WHD(Ford & Carter) and I was probably one of very few who took all my previous training seriously including martial arts.
Not ALL "agents" are trained in Martial Arts, etc....
