"Ice Ice Baby" originated from a west coast chapter that won the national step show I think in 1983 in New Orleans. It went "viral" and all the chapters starting doing steps around the theme. It was unforgettable.
@@ronmatthews I don’t know if you’re being sarcastic, but just in case you’re not… That’s why he put it in quotation marks. He meant it went the equivalent to what we say is viral nowadays. It was ‘viral’ in its time-spreading from chapter to chapter across the nation.
I just saw this movie for the first time in 2021. This movie came out 1 year before I was born. When I tell you I rewinded this part like 5 times. Hands down best part of the movie.
This cut was stolen by alfa fi alfa from group Swinng 70s, for you and other information, like ICE, words ice Ice Baby too cold, was used in songs, and yes ice also use this some dance moves from Alfa, back in a days, and its not so bad, he create some historical Song, kros words from Swinng, dance moves from Alfa, and hook from Queen....

@MomoTheBellyDancer Oh stop! If it wasn't his to use then yes he should pay. I don't care if it's just one beat. If it was my song, I'd make him pay big time and wouldn't feel a damn thing about it. Vanilla Ice was always a fake a-- sucka!
I know Spike Lee is against fraternities but I find the history really cool. Especially since it started in 1906 when Black students had to create their own since they were excluded from white fraternities. Also an interesting commentary on elites and bullying behavior
The Lord said, "Don't envy your oppressor, nor take up any of his ways." Spike Lee's brother was killed from hazing. You beat your brother and treat him in all manner of ways (hazing). And then instructed to lie and deny if asked about it. Bowing down and taking oaths to fake gods. The Savior said He doesn't share his glory nor praise with idols. Wake up!
