You don't mess with King Harkinian He may be a fun guy who loves him some Dinner, but he didn't become king for nothing. Who you think taught Zelda to swordfight?
What if Ganon, due to having the Triforce of Wisdom, knows about this situation and decides to stop being evil until the fiasco is over. Heck, maybe he will help link in the end
In the terrible tides of battle when none have hope anymore, he joins the battlefield to rise moral; no matter at the cost of his kingdom or yet, himself.
I have no idea if this was intentional but zelda in the background repeating "what if something happens to you" is actually insane foreshadowing to the next part where the king dies
ngl I absolutely love the kings lyrics, they feel genuinely powerful and like he’s dead serious the lines “how can we protect if we retreat” and “time to show why I’m king” are especially good, but the whole thing is good ngl
I love how it sounds. It takes what is already an amazing boss theme and makes it feel like every word and command the king gives should be followed by a badass magic spell
Seeing this, I _finally_ understand why 'that old Ganon's no match for the King'. Even if he is, apparently, a match for the rest of the inhabitants of the castle.
Its really genuinely unfortunate that your editing and lyric writing is so good that you've managed to make king harkinian of all people look like an intimidating God king riding to war
Well, let's think about something: in Wand of Gamelon, he willingly chose to aid Gamelon when Ganon attacked it and went _alone_ to deal with it, implying that he knows, or can do something, that nobody actually knows. For all we know, he's a MASSIVE threat, and probably would have won if Duke Onkled hadn't betrayed him. Link himself even says that Ganon was presumably no match for Harkinian. What if he (Link) knows something we don't about the true power of our king? Additionally, he could have also taught Zelda (and possibly Link, as well) how to fight with a sword, as well. Let's just think about all of this.
I just realized that there's actually lore to this with link being captured by morshu and king having to save him, which makes this 10x better than it already was
I think my favorite part about this one is how the King doesn't just want to save the land, he wants to save Link as well even going as far to call him his boy, it's pretty touching.
I really like the extra details you added, like the characters in each triforce, Zelda looking like Tasque Manager, and Ganon actually taking the triforce at the end.

And this has _genuinely_ been helpful for me. The King was the punchline to many jokes for over a decade, but even he is able to man up, save dinner for later, and take a stand. He didn't retreat, even though he could probably rationalize that. (It's dangerous, it might seem hopeless, and he wants dinner.) "You know what they say; Where there's smoke... they pinch back"
at least i think that's what you're referencing
@@blubercharge19 My first thought was actually Sonic Advance 2's bosses, which get tougher when they're "in a pinch," and I think the music speeds up too?
@@StarshadowMelody yep that's what I was trying to hint towards
:" I miss those days...
@@Typical_Explorer I feel like I'm old enough that I _should_ know that, but alas, I didn't. I'm definitely aware of the concept. It's brilliant you mention this, because this series started with a slower tempo.
i was expecting a typical ytpmv and you absolute madlad made a whole fucking performance out of this with zelda cdi voice lines
Man those lines are genuinely genius
Amazing. I must have listened to this at least 4 times.
ITS SO GOOD OH MY GOD HOW DO YOU KEEP MAKING THESE MASTERPIECES
I love how this feels like an alternate universe where there was a fourth CD-i game that was a strategy game about controlling Hyrule's army
These are all so good. I LOVE that you redesigned Zelda into the Tasque Manager, fits very well for the song and makes me think you might be thinking about how she fits into the future of the narrative if you're changing her design like that :)
I love some of the other background details in this video, like the king laughing on the screens on the sides of the screen. So much attention to detail.
Okay the original is definitely the one the one that’s more personal to this series and really works great, but in this one King do be busting down the rhymes ngl!!!
it's even more of a bop than the version at 80% tempo
Still good at original tempo, prefer the 80% tempo though.
agree.
