My husband passed away 8 years ago . He was very romantic. And what a great guy he was. This song brings tears to my eyes because I miss him so. This song is for you Phil . I will always love you. Xoxo
We're 72 and a 1/2 and I know exactly what you mean and feel. Beautiful song, lovely orchestration/arrangement, keys/guitar, and Gloria's spot-on vocal ..... she has a knack for songwriting and the right emotive feel, doesn't she?

This is what you call music. Not about sex, drugs, money, fame. This is about genuine unconditional love. No music today holds a candle to Gloria Estefan, and her music.
I'm 72 now and very lonely, but her songs in the 80's were special for me and the love ❤ of my life Susan, I miss her so much and dream about her still. I miss you Susan xxx
I know exactly how you feel mate! In December 1980, I was 19, she 17. I lost her to someone else. She was the only girl who I have ever been truly in love with! Over 43 years later, I still miss my Helen... those dreams, they are a double edged sword! They are so beautiful, but when we wake..... it's like mental torture. And beautifully arranged and produced. Aren’t we blessed to live in a time when we can access our beloved music that gave/gives us so much joy, oh the feeling I get when I rediscover a long lost song….
Part of that is because in that time period we didn't have grown women that tried to sound like 12-year olds with their squeaky pathetic voices. Thank God for Gloria.
I really grew up in the 80's...raised my children in the place I grew up (in the country) had finished cosmetology school, married a man I loved, tried to go to business school, made new friends, ...life was pretty good....I miss alot of things about that time and I have sweet memories to look back on...no regrets♡
"LOVE CIMES IN CIRCLES...AND LOVE TAKES ITS OWN TIME... BENDING AND BREAKING NOT TAKING A STRAIGHT LINE...I NEVER KNEW A LOVE, TIMELESS AND TRUE. .BUT I DID, I DID WITH YOU!!! TO JESUS CHRIST MY SAVIOR. by Lady Antebellum
Everything changes in time..we get older, circumstances changes, but i always loved this song of her! Beautiful lyric with right time...so meaningful, so thankful!
So fortunate to be young & alive when Gloria Estefan & The Miami Sound Machine were a powerful presence on the music scene. One of her beautiful hits! She was unstoppable...& still is!
"Here We Are" is our song, Gloria; beautiful singer with a beautiful AND well orchestrated song; love your clear diction of the words and your sincere heart. You go girl...forevermore. b & m 💗👍
Illicit love affair “funny world, sometimes lies become the game when love’s the prize” and “all the love I feel for you is something I must hide” Humans being human
The 80's was the decade that made us . I miss those times so much . I will listen to the 80's music till I die . If times were still like it was back then . So much better world for sure .
@@Fan4cal Technology has destroyed human communication. People need the nuances of having eye contact and picking up on the scent of others. Just my feeling about it.
@@elizabethmcleod246 Used to enjoy 80's music and songs while going to College during those days. Gloria is one of my favourite singers. Yes, I agree to your comment that technology, especially digital music has destroyed the originality of songs from heart.
LOVE Gloria Estefan's voice and her music. And this is my all-time favorite of all her songs. I can listen to this one over and over and over again and I never get sick of it. Just fantastic.
I'm so happy this exists. I was born in 1987 to my 38 year old Mother and 39 year old father who thought they'd never have a kid at that age. I grew up the luckiest child because they spoiled the F out of me lol, but I inherited their kind genes. This song takes me back to my mom cleaning house and blasting Gloria. I love her and adore her and when I made it big i introduced her to technology in my early 20's, an iPod, docking station and a new way to share what we both loved- Music. I'll never NOT love this song because it reminds me of my Mom
U are the sweetest son any mum would be proud of.....the love u have for ur parents is beautiful..... May u and ur family be abundantly blessed to have each other.... This happens to be one of my favorite song as well... It was during my era....
I''ve always loved her. Her voice gives me chills up my spine like Sade. Great song with unbelievable talent. I grew up listening to her. Born in '80. It's rare to hear songs like this nowadays. But,I love romantically, classic music.
I hear you man. I was born in '80 and I grew up listening to her and Miami Sound Machine, Sade, and other timeless greats and I've always loved that her music has true heart and soul.
Same here I was born in 81 and grew up listening to her music even then I recognized her talent, hauntingly beautiful music with a very deep powerful meaning. it's takes a special kind of music to give me chills and stop me in my tracks and her music does it to me every time it's like my life flashes before my eyes. Indeed music like this is rare nowadays for the most part today's music is garbage mainly because Romance seems to be dead these days and what we're left is a bunch of arrogant narcissists singing about cars, sex, drugs, money yada yada yada smh Thank goodness we have RUclips and can take a trip back in time to when music was actually music and watch the familiar videos we grew up watching.
I love this song by Gloria Estafan who left Cuba for Miami in Florida USA. A song I could listen to all day by a great singer. Wow! What a terriffic voice complimenting a great tune. Gloria's voice sheer class.
God i miss the 80s. Life was so much more simple. I had my dreams i had freedom but mostly i had my parents. Wish i could go back and just hold them one more time. Smell sent around me .dads 3 wheeler van like something out of onky fools and horses so embarrassing. But its true grow up with nothing is character building. What i didnt realise is i had everything i just didnt know it.
Thats always the way it seems to be, when you compare a lot to a little, a lot seems like a mountain but be thankful for the ability to see the difference and know what you had. It's hard, I know.
Claire, tears in my eyes after reading your comment. My dad passed in 2000 and my mum in 2009. I turn 60 next month and miss them so much, but I am grateful for the lovely upbringing I had. My mum always used to say that there is always someone worse off than you and to count your blessings. I find myself thinking and saying them a lot in the difficult times we live in. We had an Austin A35 with a hand brake on the right and a turning handle to put in the front when it wouldn't start! Wonderful memories of my dad trying to teach me to drive in it and it stalling on a hill near Beeston Castle in Cheshire and my dad going mad with me as we were miles from home. I did learn with an instructor in the end! The music takes me back to sweet moments in my life. Take care. Regards Jane
Claire, what a lovely wee post. Made me smile and reminisce to when my parents were alive & the laughs we had when I was a kid. Like you I would like to go back just once to give them a last cuddle (due to working on oil platform I was at work on both occasions when they passed away, also when my brother committed suicide shortly afterward, all three of which crushed me at the time). Always loved Gloria Estafan from that period and still love to play her music now to transport my mind back to those good times.
One of the most beautiful love songs ever written and recorded. There is something so mesmerizing, hypnotic about the buildup on the intro, and it just takes your heart deeper and deeper into paradise all the way through. I also love this in Portuguese.
@@Herrera777 Yeah, it probably is. Especially the part when she says "And all the love I feel for you Is something I should hide" I never heard it that way but could be.
My mum raised me on Gloria, so all her songs fill me with a sweet nostalgia for being a child, I then heard this in a Japanese Convenience Store when I was drunk and lived there, and adds another layer to the nostalgia, now all I can do is smile and cry when I hear her, nostalgia is a weird emotion. 28 from the UK
I love this song. This song was playing on the radio and on my cassette tape in my car during some of the most important times of my life. Everytime I hear this beautiful song, it takes me back to these times. Thank you Gloria!!!

God this song hurts my soul. Reminds me of a love I would’ve died for. He was my everything at that time (mid 1980’s). I have now been married for 32 years to a different man. But hearing this song…brings back the memories…the pain.
Tears in my eyes😭😭 reminiscing how my mom and dad used to hold each other tight dancing to this song while i look and smile feeling fortunate to have em both.. Rip momm and dad only god knows how i miss you both
SO VERY SORRY ! I LOVE THIS SONG 2 ! IT BRINGS BACK ALOT OF MEMORIES FOR ME 2 , OF AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP I WAS IN ! EVERY KIND OF ABUSE !! & WE HAVE A SON TOGETHER ( JEREMIAH ) !! IT HURTS SO BAD !!
I think you just broke my heart Rico😭 After my mother’s passing I remember telling a business associate that there will never be another woman in this world that could ever break your heart than your mothers passing😭😭. He just looked at me and broke down in tears because his mom just passed and said that was the most true thing EVER!! It was so odd and I felt horrible because this was a business meeting and when we were making small talk it had just come out and I Will never forget his face and that was 15 years ago in the middle of a business meeting at my office and I’m talking about a guy in his 40s that was it I knew it was true also it was like confirmation😩
I miss my dad too. The way he would hold my mum and slow dance with her. We don’t listen to music anymore. Except for when I stay up late, remembering the beautiful times, and cry my heart out. The pain is so unbearable sometimes.
I am 47 years old now and I remember when I was a young girl listening to this song in praise of certain boy heard it over the radio.... So wishful thinking...
Who says she's underrated? She was in a concert called The Queens or something like that where she performed alongside the greats like Aretha, Mariah, etc... She is one of the queens and the industry pays respect to her contribution in the industry.
Gloria was no Diva with a golden larynx...but she was an exceptional songwriter, the arrangements beautifully done, and her delivery was always spot on. I've been listening to her music for getting on for 30 years and no plans to stop anytime soon. This song is the Crown Jewel in a chest full of treasure....along with "Anything for You".
Gloria's glorious voice sung against the percussion and guitar just sends chills down the spine. She's always been underrated as a singer, technically she's got all the vocal chops. The beauty of her voice set against the romantic backdrop, doesn't get any better ❤
I don’t know what a lot of the people commenting on here are talking about. But I grew up with this woman’s amazing voice and teachings in her music and now in my early 40s can only look back on how relevant her message was and is!
I saw Gloria twice in concert, once before her crash and once after. She gave a two hour set of singing and dancing after recovering from a broken back. The woman is an inspiration.
Just wanted to say I can Identify with every word that the person before me, we to saw her before her Accident and when she Recovered from her Horrendous Accident that broke her back, but because she had the best Surgeons in the world they Performed a Miracle that gave her back her LIFE, AND WHEN MONTHS LATER AFTER HER RECOVERY SHE EVENTUALLY CAME BACK TO THE AUDIENCE 'S LIKE US WHO HAD BEEN TOLD TO KEEP THE TICKETS THAT WERE ALREADY PURCHASED, AND WHEN THAT NIGHT ARRIVED AT BIRMINGHAM, WHEN SHE WALKED ON STAGE THERE WASN'T A DRY EYE IN THAT ARENA, SHE IS AMAZING, WONDERFUL, BUT MOST OF ALL SHE IS GENUINE, GOD BLESS YOU GLORIA AND YOUR FAMILY, MY LOVE AND ADMIRATION FOREVER. ANGELA ARNOLD ENGLAND 💖💗💐🌹🌸
*...VERY honored to leave the 6,000th comment....* ...THIS was the song that was out (Jan.1990), when Gloria had that ill-fated Bus accident (the crash was in March, 1990); It was SO terrifying to see / hear updates on Gloria's condition... it went on for FOUR HOURS! ...there was NO internet then, so it was just...live updates..... (CONT.) ...When they put Gloria in the helicopter to transport her for emergency back surgery, I played this song (on cassette single!) OVER & OVER, praying for her safety...I've done that for NO other celebrity / musician EVER or SINCE, so it shows that Gloria Estefan has IMMENSE respect & talent, across ALL nationalities, ages, & demographics...She is to be TREASURED....like, this Song...one of her BEST........ ...because, SHE is the BEST....here we are, once again.....and, for ALWAYS.......

Its true! She is truly an icon.
Gloria's voice, accent and music arrangement is from another world. It's really unforgettable ♥️♥️
Yesss..
The Great Female singer 👍🙏
With lyrics and Vibrato 🙏
True......
And beautifully arranged and produced. Aren’t we blessed to live in a time when we can access our beloved music that gave/gives us so much joy, oh the feeling I get when I rediscover a long lost song….
Absolutely beautiful
Love and peace to whoever listening to this in 2024
Heartache 💔
❤
could listen to Gloria for the rest of my life!
Yes 😂 that's Miami ❤
Im remembering my past,
What a voice! Omg she's better than most of these modern day female singers
Part of that is because in that time period we didn't have grown women that tried to sound like 12-year olds with their squeaky pathetic voices. Thank God for Gloria.
Truth be told.
I wake up in the morning singing this. It’s melting.
Most?
Gloria, reminds us that we had a remarkable great past. At 64 … she brings me unforgettable past thoughts of all that was young.
Just beautiful. I'm a great fan of Gloria Estefan. I can listen to this beautiful song all day. Just wonderful.
I'm too
I really grew up in the 80's...raised my children in the place I grew up (in the country) had finished cosmetology school, married a man I loved, tried to go to business school, made new friends, ...life was pretty good....I miss alot of things about that time and I have sweet memories to look back on...no regrets♡
So Sweet the Love that used to be! "I'm All Woman" by Lisa Stansfield♡♡♡
"LOVE CIMES IN CIRCLES...AND LOVE TAKES ITS OWN TIME...
BENDING AND BREAKING
NOT TAKING A STRAIGHT
LINE...I NEVER KNEW A LOVE, TIMELESS AND TRUE. .BUT I DID, I DID WITH YOU!!! TO JESUS CHRIST MY SAVIOR.

Gloria has a fabulous voice , and she evokes memories of better times.
This lady has an ability to make anybody feel good with her voice. Still brilliant ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Everything changes in time..we get older, circumstances changes, but i always loved this song of her! Beautiful lyric with right time...so meaningful, so thankful!
Gloria Estefan is great. I also like her song I don't wanna lose you.
I'm 🎧 listening to your playlists, .. beautiful lady, ...when I move in August to Philippines.
The Great Female singer 👍🙏
reminds us life then were much simpler.
So fortunate to be young & alive when Gloria Estefan & The Miami Sound Machine were a powerful presence on the music scene.
One of her beautiful hits! She was unstoppable...& still is!
I'm a 70 year old woman and I feel like you do. I love her music 😊
"Here We Are" is our song, Gloria; beautiful singer with a beautiful AND well orchestrated song; love your clear diction of the words and your sincere heart. You go girl...forevermore. b & m 💗👍
Gloria has one of the most Beautiful voices I've ever heard! I could listen to her all day!!! Lady you are truly Loved!!! 😍
I totally agree with you could hear this all day long
no thanks
Definitely one of the best 80's singer. So underrated to my opinion. She wasn't provocative and had class.
Gloria is the ultimate when it comes to being a performer. Beautiful singer, beautiful songwriter, awesome person and just plain beautiful.
When music was great, clean,& romantic not the junk we hear nowadays.
😢
The stuff now is so vulgar and unimaginative. Simple minded for the dumbed down masses.
That"s right
Actual music...refreshing💯🤟
Illicit love affair “funny world, sometimes lies become the game when love’s the prize” and “all the love I feel for you is something I must hide” Humans being human
Back when music was GOOD!!!
The 80's was the decade that made us . I miss those times so much . I will listen to the 80's music till I die . If times were still like it was back then . So much better world for sure .
Agree
Why are people so angry now when the world has made so much progress - gay rights, equality, opportunity and technology
@@Fan4cal Where do you see equality ????
LOVE Gloria Estefan's voice and her music. And this is my all-time favorite of all her songs. I can listen to this one over and over and over again and I never get sick of it. Just fantastic.
She is so good so sweet
me too ... over and over without it ever getting boring. timeless ;)
Never. Simply marvellous
Beautiful singer ♡♡
Reminds me of the Love of my Life that passed way too soon :(
I haven’t heard this song since I was a baby. I just remembered hearing it for the first time, I don’t know what to say.
Right on brother!!
Great story I'm glad you were close to your folks. My folks love me but could never relate to modern music.
Thank you. It worked for me too, just in the reverse. I love music from their era and before as does my son thru me.
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've always admired her but this song was the most special for me.
Agreed ! 😎
Tell us your story Mr. Lopez?
✅ right.
Same.. ❤️🎶
This one & "cuts both ways" 🥰
Me too ruben
I''ve always loved her. Her voice gives me chills up my spine like Sade. Great song with unbelievable talent. I grew up listening to her. Born in '80. It's rare to hear songs like this nowadays. But,I love romantically, classic music.
she's classic
The lady has a great voice. Wow! Sheer class.
What a stunning comment Claire :)
You take love and memories too the grave , not money and possessions x
One of the most beautiful love songs ever written and recorded. There is something so mesmerizing, hypnotic about the buildup on the intro, and it just takes your heart deeper and deeper into paradise all the way through. I also love this in Portuguese.
Hi there...
Yes it's a beautiful song and video, ageless
Always wondered if the song is about an affair?
You know, I never thought about that. I was a kid when it came out and just loved the song. But looking at the lyrics, I think you’re right.
@@Herrera777 Yeah, it probably is. Especially the part when she says "And all the love I feel for you
Is something I should hide" I never heard it that way but could be.
I watched a special with Gloria& her daughter singing & her husband sitting in the balcony. The look of love on his face was so great, that I cried.
Fell asleep listening to this back in 1989 as an 18 year old, woke up in 2024 as an old man
53 is not old 😊
@@niklasareschoug9677 Agree but the Miles are high on this particular model.
I’m right there with you
I'm 53 too....Yikes.
Me too
My mum raised me on Gloria, so all her songs fill me with a sweet nostalgia for being a child, I then heard this in a Japanese Convenience Store when I was drunk and lived there, and adds another layer to the nostalgia, now all I can do is smile and cry when I hear her, nostalgia is a weird emotion. 28 from the UK
Hi Suvzilla hope you're okay??
I love this song. This song was playing on the radio and on my cassette tape in my car during some of the most important times of my life. Everytime I hear this beautiful song, it takes me back to these times. Thank you Gloria!!!

Yes
Just wish i could go back to those times
@Kirk Kissack Kirk, I met my wife on a plane and I know it was fate. This song brings back so many memories.

A song so deep that only people in touch with their feelings and have lost a love so deep can understand
Exactly 😪😪😪

One of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. Perfection from beginning to the end. I love the subtle tone of Gloria's voice
For me she is the undisputed Reina Latina. This song oozes authentic emotion and is timeless. Such beauty in every way ❤️

God this song hurts my soul. Reminds me of a love I would’ve died for. He was my everything at that time (mid 1980’s). I have now been married for 32 years to a different man. But hearing this song…brings back the memories…the pain.
This song is so beautiful and Gloria's voice is a pure magic. Just can't stop listening to it over and over again
Gloria Estefan has an amazing talent. What a beautiful, strong woman inside and out! She has a beautiful voice.
Her voice is like silk and velvet, smooth...so smooth.
Loved it 40 yrs ago...and still!
Tears in my eyes😭😭 reminiscing how my mom and dad used to hold each other tight dancing to this song while i look and smile feeling fortunate to have em both.. Rip momm and dad only god knows how i miss you both

Well said bro
Awwwww
I may have been that boy
Hi Brandi,hope you’re okay ?

She's so pretty and talented ❤
nothing special
This song will never get old.
@@bp6329 Sure that same comment was made day you were born.
Who says she's underrated? She was in a concert called The Queens or something like that where she performed alongside the greats like Aretha, Mariah, etc... She is one of the queens and the industry pays respect to her contribution in the industry.
VH-1 Divas show from '98.
Still can be seen here on YT
Takes me back to my youth and the awesome music and songwriting from the 80’s. A simple and less complicated time in life. Love Gloria’s music!
This song, the lyrics, her voice....
Simply beautiful!!
agreed, lovely.

Gloria's glorious voice sung against the percussion and guitar just sends chills down the spine.
She's always been underrated as a singer, technically she's got all the vocal chops.
The beauty of her voice set against the romantic backdrop, doesn't get any better ❤
Geez...that intro melody is like a spell, I cant turn away. This is such a well written ballad both lyrically and musically.
Both haunting and beautiful at the same time
I concur, Very well said👍✌
Adoro Glória Estefan!❤
Uma querida cubana, amada por nós brasileiros!
Beijos, Glória! ❤
my favorite song of Gloria ♡
@@angelaarnold3740 lovely comment Angela. We saw her at Birmingham both times too.

Gloria Estefan...drop dead gorgeous and as classy as any artist of the 80's. She could sing your heart inside out. I had such a crush on her.
Mike Preston-Engel I agree fabulous
💕💕
Same here. She was my highschool celebrity crush back in 1987-89
*...VERY honored to leave the 6,000th comment....* ...THIS was the song that was out (Jan.1990), when Gloria had that ill-fated Bus accident (the crash was in March, 1990); It was SO terrifying to see / hear updates on Gloria's condition... it went on for FOUR HOURS! ...there was NO internet then, so it was just...live updates..... (CONT.)
...When they put Gloria in the helicopter to transport her for emergency back surgery, I played this song (on cassette single!) OVER & OVER, praying for her safety...I've done that for NO other celebrity / musician EVER or SINCE, so it shows that Gloria Estefan has IMMENSE respect & talent, across ALL nationalities, ages, & demographics...She is to be TREASURED....like, this Song...one of her BEST........
...because, SHE is the BEST....here we are, once again.....and, for ALWAYS.......
.. so kindly written... ❤️
Gloria is in a class of her own. Beautiful woman with an amazing voice.
What a fantastic time to be alive and young! Love this genre of music. Was blessed to see this incredible band live in the late 80's
