I’m , unfortunately, am one of those Mexicans who don’t speak Spanish. But this song speaks to my heart. It understands the beauty of the words, and music. As a young man in the 80s, it got me through my grandma’s passing. She mostly spoke Spanish, l under stood her.

This song is deep for me because it came out when I was 16 years old after my first breakup with my first real girlfriend. I messed up, like so many kids do in relationships.......she let me go. I was sitting at home in Miami, and she called and told me it was over. I couldn't change her mind. Later that same night this somg came on. I heard it previously on many occasions.....but that night it took on a new meaning that reached deep into my soul! Now almost 35 years later this song is still so very touching to my heart!😘😍🥰
this song used to play alot in a super fancy restaurant I used to work at back when the song came out. Sometimes it would rain and it looked beautiful in the dining room because a glass window wrapped halfway across the room and ceiling and the room was full of mostly couples having a candle light dinner. I also remember the manager locking up at night as we all walked away in the moonlight as the song came on. so so long ago..

Loved the song hugely when I knew it only as "Anything for you", but when a couple of weeks later the album "Exitos de Gloria Estefan" came out and I heard this Spanish version ....... WOWWW.
What I love about Gloria Estefan is the emotion she can put in a song as if she can make the lyrics come to life and in Spanish it almost doubles the effect. Also the last word "adios" she almost screams out is more emotional loaded then her English version "goodbye".

I was stationed in Florida in the Navy when this song came out and a version of this song where Gloria began the song in English and finished in spanish played all the time on the radio. To this day I cannot find a recording of that version. It was AWESOME!!!!!!

A mí esta canción me hace recordar las muchas veces que le pedí al hombre que estaba conmigo en ese momento que se vaya, que no podíamos estar juntos porque me hacia mucho daño, a pesar que lo quería. Pensé que lo habia olvidado cuando no me cuidó y dejó que me pasen cosas malas. Todo sentimiento y recuerdo se esfumó como por "arte de magia".
