Remember you can always just transition and wear protective hair styles. That’s what I’d did and I wore braids for 2 years. I’m about to braid it back up because I hair flourishes in braids.
yuhh get into it trimming your hair @ the least is good for your hair!! It helps your hair grow & there’s tons of videos for growth, you can do rice water & aloe Vera treatments (cheap hair growth treatments) & just keep it moisturized boo it’ll grow 💛

LifeWithAerri hey girl and yeah I did! I like it, it’s just taking some time to get use to. I never had my hair this short before. But it was just beautiful to sit and cut my hair, I felt like a different person. I’m definitely going to dye it cuz I need some color.
I NEED HELP... I'm honestly considering this, the only thing stopping me is a front section of my head doesn't curl at all not even to the root. I've been oiling it up with JMC and trying to manipulate it with twists to curl it but it won't go. I believe I have 4a hair but a looser texture of 4a. After washing my hair its jus so dry and not good. The rest of my hair curling wise is okay but it still spilt at the ends and damaged. I haven't put it under heat and honestly have been trying to keep it healthy. I think ill give it to the end of July and if nothing happens ill do it but I'm honestly scared and don't really know what's going to happen.
Nevaeh Christopher that sounds like how my hair was, it would be so dry after I would wash & condition it. One side wouldn’t curl up & the other side would only wave up a little bit. Is your hair heat damaged? It seems like the front is always worse for some reason, mine is too. It’s more loose & more damaged than the rest of my hair even though I cut most of the damage off. But it just sounds like your hair is damaged luv. You should cut it, only if you feel comfortable. That’s why I cut mine I couldn’t deal w it anymore. I wanted health over length & I was just focused on the end result. Beautiful, healthy, natural hair. You could always get protective styles as well if you do cut it & not really feeling it, that’s what I do. For that reason & just so I can cut down on having to do stuff to it

Length isn't important to me if my hair is damaged which it is .... I have hae past heat damage and two relaxers I already did a mini chop and my hair grew back really fast, but now I don't know it just looks damaged, I might have too big chop but I'm honestly scared of how I'll look and if it'll fit my face... Plus I maybe have to really cut it down not too much but pretty short... I just want everything to be curly when I cut it not straight parts that's the only thing I'm worried about is if I cut it that non curly sections won't curl up.... Plus I have 3c/4a hair so I don't know how it going to react when I cut it and not only that my family members their pretty just about my decision already..

But personally I don’t like feeling like that, I’m working on it bc I don’t want to feel like hair defines whether I’m cute or not, you know? & I think if you cut it off all @ once then you won’t have to wait longer for the transition phase or anything, that’s why I just decided to cut all mine off. A lot of people were saying I should just transition & cut a little @ a time so I can have some length still but I didn’t care about that, I just wanted to get it over all @ once lol. But I think if you cut it & once it grows out & if it’s healthy it will be how it’s supposed to be, curly & healthy. It’s just hair, it’ll always grow back

I want to big chop so bad, I've been natural for a year and my scalp for some reason has been super flaky and dry and I just want to start over I'm 16 so I had to ask my parents my dad at first said no but now he said me and my sister have to ask our mom mom who is a cosmetologist if she will do it but we have to wait until after quarantine some can ask her in person, I hope she says yes because my dad said that's the only way we'll be able to get it done,🙏
Nila Sapphire do you want to cut it bc of your dry scalp or do you just want to completely start over? Bc there’s always remedies for dry scalp, you can try oiling your scalp w your favorite oil & adding a few drops of tea tree. Or change the products you use for your hair. Maybe you could even try aloe Vera

I NEED HELP... I'm honestly considering this, the only thing stopping me is a front section of my head doesn't curl at all not even to the root. I've been oiling it up with JMC and trying to manipulate it with twists to curl it but it won't go. I believe I have 4a hair but a looser texture of 4a. After washing my hair its jus so dry and not good. The rest of my hair curling wise is okay but it still spilt at the ends and damaged. I haven't put it under heat and honestly have been trying to keep it healthy. I think ill give it to the end of July and if nothing happens ill do it but I'm honestly scared and don't really know what's going to happen.
Nevaeh Christopher that sounds like how my hair was, it would be so dry after I would wash & condition it. One side wouldn’t curl up & the other side would only wave up a little bit. Is your hair heat damaged? It seems like the front is always worse for some reason, mine is too. It’s more loose & more damaged than the rest of my hair even though I cut most of the damage off. But it just sounds like your hair is damaged luv. You should cut it, only if you feel comfortable. That’s why I cut mine I couldn’t deal w it anymore. I wanted health over length & I was just focused on the end result. Beautiful, healthy, natural hair. You could always get protective styles as well if you do cut it & not really feeling it, that’s what I do. For that reason & just so I can cut down on having to do stuff to it
@@LifeWithAerri omg than you for replying and yes I want the same thing for my hair... I've had short hair for awhile but never big chop short... Length isn't important to me if my hair is damaged which it is .... I have hae past heat damage and two relaxers I already did a mini chop and my hair grew back really fast, but now I don't know it just looks damaged, I might have too big chop but I'm honestly scared of how I'll look and if it'll fit my face... Plus I maybe have to really cut it down not too much but pretty short... I just want everything to be curly when I cut it not straight parts that's the only thing I'm worried about is if I cut it that non curly sections won't curl up.... Plus I have 3c/4a hair so I don't know how it going to react when I cut it and not only that my family members their pretty just about my decision already..
Nevaeh Christopher you’re welcome ❣️ I think it’ll just be something you have to get used to over all, like even when I cut mine, a lot of people were saying it looked nice & I agree but I do have my days where I miss my hair or I just feel not as cute. But personally I don’t like feeling like that, I’m working on it bc I don’t want to feel like hair defines whether I’m cute or not, you know? & I think if you cut it off all @ once then you won’t have to wait longer for the transition phase or anything, that’s why I just decided to cut all mine off. A lot of people were saying I should just transition & cut a little @ a time so I can have some length still but I didn’t care about that, I just wanted to get it over all @ once lol. But I think if you cut it & once it grows out & if it’s healthy it will be how it’s supposed to be, curly & healthy. It’s just hair, it’ll always grow back

I want to big chop so bad, I've been natural for a year and my scalp for some reason has been super flaky and dry and I just want to start over I'm 16 so I had to ask my parents my dad at first said no but now he said me and my sister have to ask our mom mom who is a cosmetologist if she will do it but we have to wait until after quarantine some can ask her in person, I hope she says yes because my dad said that's the only way we'll be able to get it done,🙏
Nila Sapphire do you want to cut it bc of your dry scalp or do you just want to completely start over? Bc there’s always remedies for dry scalp, you can try oiling your scalp w your favorite oil & adding a few drops of tea tree. Or change the products you use for your hair. Maybe you could even try aloe Vera
@@LifeWithAerri not just the dry scalp I really want to start over not just physically with my hair but also mentally because I've gone through so many things in the past few years and I've had this hair through It all, (depression, abuse, suicidal thoughts, etc.) Cutting that hair would create just one more step to freedom from that
