Back in the day, 50 years ago I worked @ the Sheraton Fontainbleau @ 101st Street, which I believe is now a Clarion. Many memories there & I was starting my 38 year hotel career in Ocean City.
David, I think you're the guy who retired in Florida? After a career that involved the Phillips', is that right? In any case, hope it's a happy, healthy new year.
@@richardhales92 Yes sir, you are right! Happy New Year to you as well! Living the dream retired in Florida! After a 2 & 1/2 year battle the VA finally approved my 100% disability. I was in the Navy during the Vietnam war & was stationed on a ship that was exposed to Agent Orange.
We were down OC last Christmas and of course went to the best shore light display. " Winter Fest " at the 150 plus acre North Park. Also enjoyed the Christmas displays at the Inlet parking lot .
First thing that goes thru my mind during a summer week is how many times is my wife going to go to Dollies that week to pick up usually over $100 of delicious sweets. We always park at the huge Inlet parking lot so Dollies is close by. While she is in their I run to Dough Roller for a slice of pizza. I look at the many great live web OC cameras at least once a week all year long. Never get tired of watching live web camera for the bay sunsets.
@@JohnThomas-lq5qp I'm always surprised watching the web camera that it seems more year-round, right? I don't remember so many people on the boardwalk in the dead of winter, though the web cams down by the inlet seem to more sparse but maybe they're waiting till dark.
@@richardhales92 Besides checking a few of the boardwalk live cams I check out Thrasher French Fries live cam between noon & 2 or 3 in the winter. We were down at least 6 or 8 Thanksgiving weeks besides summer week. One year when Friday after Thanksgiving ( maybe ten years ago when malls had big crowds ) it was warm and was surprised it being black Friday big shopping day the boardwalk had loads of people. Most of the stores & both Dough Rollers closed when it got dark.
@richardhales92 when you have time please check out horrible few live cams that Wildwood NJ has. Not one traffic cam, none in North Wildwood boardwalk,. But they show a small intersection labeled flood cam. Big deal with heavy rain & high tide there is a few inches of water on a street . Rip off Wildwood charges almost 14% room tax & approximately same area & # of year round residents as far better OC MD.
@@JohnThomas-lq5qp Is that the Tram recording "Please watch out for the tram?" Maybe that's Asbury Park? Can I ask where you watch the Thrasher's cam, what website? I go to Atlantic City and always promise myself I'll get down to Wildwood (live in NY), but haven't since I was a kid. 14% is crazy!
Thank You for the Christmas lights video, enjoyed.. Happy New Year 🎉
You are quite welcome. Happy New Year's to you too.

Happy New Year to 'the Angela' and you, too, Daniel Kester. Love ya!

"Sunrise on New Year's Eve" I guess there's such a time
"Let's check out what the boardwalk looks like. Oh, yeah, you can hear it." What's the first thing that goes through your subscriber's minds?
