Dear Ed... I've worked as a nurse for 25+ years and experienced much with death and dying. I pray and hope that you come to know Jesus Christ before you leave this life and enter eternity. Not religion my dear but God's son that He sent to die on the cross for the remission of mine and your sins. There is a beautiful paradise that God promises those who want Him. Jesus said , I am the way the truth and the life, no comes to the Father except through Him" John 14:6 Just cry out to him with a sincere heart and He will hear your cry and send the right people to help you on your journey! 🙏🙏🧎✝️✝️
I have seen only 25% dying on those first doctors estimates and they lived longer that is. All were terminal from the start. 3/4 is not a big statistic but if you have the spirit i would fight it! All of those 4 were older than you!

Eddie, i was told i had 6 months to live and get my affairs in order due to melanoma cancer. I was scheduled for chemotherapy but never did it. I got drunk instead for a year. Im still alive, and this was back in 2004. Get started with rehab on your leg and GET MOVING WITH THE TIME YOU HAVE LEFT!!!!
Ya, avoid the chemo. It provides only a few percentage points of survival rate. But causes other chronic issues. Hey there as a critical care nurse for 3 decades I’ve helped countless strangers on their and their family’s worst day. That said none of us get to choose where or when we die. There’s power in choosing your life path in a way that’s meaningful to you. Bless you for sharing your life and your situation. Wish you peace and bliss.
There isn’t a date for our death and we don’t wanna die so we couldn’t pick a date. God has put into our hearts everlasting life and that’s what he promises soon when he steps in God‘s kingdom will rule and do away with all sickness all death, all wickedness And restore the earth to a paradise condition please read Psalms 37:10,11,29 in your copy of the Bible I think you will be very happy when you read the scriptures
Hi eddie, im no cancer speacialist but my missus is as a oncoligist nurse. A few things i want you to consider 1) you have been terminally diagnosed. This means regardless of treatment, the eventual outcome will be the same, its a matter of time 2) quality of life, all chemo will do when you are terminally diagnosed is extend your lifespan, not save! Your time will be in extreme discomfort and pain. Chemo can also weaken your immune system and lead to secondary issues, such as pneonmia and chest related diseases. When you see cancer patients who are 7 stone, and gaunt and bald that aint the cancer, thats the effect of numerous chemo treatments. Chemo is used when the cancer is detected early and outcome is good. 3). Look at the type of cancer you have. Yes its the brain, but not something like pancreas, lung etc 4) wait 6 weeks before starting any chemo treatment, get a scan. If there is no growth then sod it, concentrate on getting mobility sorted, come back to thailand. Enjoy your last days like a lord. If you go for chemo treatment now, you will be sick, loss of weight, mobility will be affected
Agreed. My sister wife died of cancer several years back. The chemo ravaged her. She stopped after a couple of rounds and focused on quality of life. Best decision she made, although I was on the fence at the time. She visited all the islands she wanted to visit. She lived well. Zoom back to Thailand if you can.
God is still in the miracle business. He never changes; He’s the same yesterday, today and forever. Pray to God and IN FAITH BELIEVING, ask Him to heal you. God bless you.
Hi Eddie. It is not a death sentence, you have options. From someone with zero medical knowledge, who saw his wife go through brain cancer surgery in 2018(from ovarian cancer in 2016, to brain metastases in 2018) , she is still here (now 59yrs ol) in 2024. She struggles quite a bit here and there, but we are so happy. This is what she did. She had brain surgery (Not all cancer could be removed) She had full brain radiation She had chemo(again) Her faith in God and her Christian faith carried her so well, that is an amazing “other” side to life. The only medication she used continuously over the last 6yrs is two teaspoons of raw dried sieve ground cannabis. Free now as she grow it in her garden veg patch. Although she has toned it down now to use only when she feels it is required. And she still drives herself around. I hope this may help you or anyone else who has this. That said, treatment may well be much better since 2018, so this is just “her story” 😊 Eddie, really, I wish you could speak to her now. She’s sayin in the background now “oh nooo he must not give up” Sorry I write back-to-front.
Keep fighting. A friend of mine was given six months to live fourteen years ago when he was your age and we’ve been to Pattaya together many times since, even this year 💪🏼

Many people have commented on doctors being wrong. I have my own personal experience with a friend being told to go home and get his affairs in order because he was done with untreatable stomach cancer. He wisely got a second opinion with the doctors offering a treatment program that saved his life , 15 years later he is still here and enjoying life. At least get a second opinion , it saved my friend. If he had listened to the first Doctor he would have been dead within 18 months.
@constructionworker-bc6ki he can't get any insurance now! Without chemo he might end up too far gone before he's mobile enough to go anywhere, it's all an unknown.

I asked my dying mum, who had just turned 69, if she was angry with God. She immediately said no, and asked me what had she not accomplished, or for what had she ever wanted. She had earned a BA in her late 40's, run a business, built a local hospital, built a health clinic downtown, and raised three boys and her youngest by eight years, a daughter. She faced her death with grit and with grace. I miss her....we all do. But she did die, much too early by my count. I just didn't have a say. Ed, if you have a single person weep at your grave, you will have been a success. God love you.

My heart goes out to you. I’m so blessed to be here 9 years after my second cancer and have become a devoted grandmother in that time. Do what’s right for you x
Sorry for the bad news, Eddy. My Dad died at 63 and I know how unfair it is. We all hope for long life. I lost my wife of 44 years at her age 71 and that did not seem fair either. Whatever you decide, live every day you have left as well as you can and don't give up on life. Each day is a gift from God and we should accept it and appreciate it, as it is. I certainly wouldn’t bother with the chemotherapy, enjoy what quality time you have left without the pain of chemotherapy, I’ve seen people go through it and it just destroys them. Wish you the best mate.
After my colon cancer operation I was told I had to have chemo. But in the meantime I had major kidney issues and refused. That was 6 years ago. F the chemo IMHO.
I'm 55 and 4 months ago I was diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer. I started chemotherapy, taking pills. 14 days on and 14 days off. I have very little side effects. Sick only 1 time out of the 14 days. My most recent scan showed that the cancer in the pancreas has shrunk from 3.3cm to 2cm. Liver cancer had also shrunk. I'm still working and like yourself, I have already done a great deal of traveling. I would 100% try the chemo pills. I can send you the name of the pills if your interested. I feel 100%. Keep fighting and never give up!

Eddy, I forgot something very important that I advise you to do if you haven't done so already. Two documents: Make a Last Will and Testiment, and an Everlasting Power of Attorney. If you don't want the government or the banks to take your money later, the Will is obvious. But in the meantime, for whatever time you have left, you may go through periods when you are not in control of your thoughts and actions. You will be alive, but not functioning mentally, and you may wish another person to make decisions for you. As far as I know this is a legal document that requires a lawyer or a notary - while a Will may not need this legal authorization. Do any other subscribers or viewers have any thoughts about this? Since Eddy's legacy to all of us are his videos, I think that we should step up and help him in any way possible. BTW these 2 documents vary from country to country. Eddy it may be worthwhile for you to Google these, issues, and see what is in force both for the UK and for Thailand.
@@ivritasker - A good and helpful thought in times when our mind may be concentrated on other things. Certainly these legal issues are worth tying up if only for peace of mind, even though they may not actually be put into practice for years to come. I am a 75 year old UK national living in Spain, and some years ago my lawyer helped me draw up both a UK Will and a Spanish Will, which was notarised in Spain. I am currently recovering from cancer, and it is reassuring to know that my testamentary documents are in place.

Guys, if eddie goes back to Thailand, firstly I doubt eddie would be able to fly, and who would look after Eddie in Thailand, in Pattaya, I know your all trying to cheer Eddie up, I have messaged Eedie because am in the community side of health care in the UK, In Pattaya, firstly Eddie can't weightbare,he's bedbound at the moment, he may not even get full use of his leg, guys in my experience of what i see when i see eddie in his hospital bed, am assuming they are hoisting eddie from his bed if they put him in a hospital chair, guys who's going to help him stand, and put him in a wheelchair in Pattaya??? , you could cause injury to eddie and yourself, what about nurses, here in UK it's macmillian and distict nurses, then home care issues, his everyday care, dont forget there is alot more to.Eddies illness then alot of you understand, if am honest Eddie is best staying in the UK, I don't really like having to write such a comment on here, and I know alot of you want him back in Thailand, but it's the quality of care/life Eddie needs, and the UK will give him that and his dignity xx❤❤
There is also the visa issue. So far this year Eddy had 2 visa exemption entries and extensions. Then the hospital got him another 30 day extension and then he had some overstay days which the hospital sorted as they were for medical reasons. So Eddy already had over 5 months in Thailand. Do people really think he can fly to Thailand get a 60 day visa exemption then get a 30 day extension do a visa run and come in for another 60 day on a visa exemption or tourist visa.
@isaanman5399 ur not understanding, let me point something out for you. Eddie as terminal brain cancer, I work in community health care in greater manchester in the UK, just say he went to Thailand, firstly he's still bedbound, ok he can"t weightbare, this is where he can't hold his own weight unaided ok, so when this happens yeah , you end up say in a wheelchair, now how do you think your gonna get from bed to wheelchair, you need special equipment ok. With eddie, he can't use a frame, cos firstly he's been in bed now for 10.weeks yeah, with a frame, he's gonna fall, a rotary stand ok we call it a standing aid, these come with a belt to.support patient when you put the lower part/plate under there feet and patient pull themselfs up the frame of the standing aid/rotary stand , but a belt does assist with help of the person controlling the rotary stand, but if he can't lift his foot he can't use, and u can't put one of them in ur hold luggage for aircraft, then there's a manual hoist and sling your not gonna find one of them in a hotel, also its.called moving and handling over in UK without equipment it becomes a risk for the patient, if ppl try to.get him to stand without equipment to help him, eddie and who ever trys to help him to.stand then could cause damage to eddie and themselfs
@@isaanman5399 He can fly to Thailand and get ONE visa exemption and stay for as long as he wants. He is over 50. Fly to Thailand, as soon as he gets off the plane he goes to a visa agent, within 2 weeks and for around 24,000b he can get a non-O retirement visa. That will give 15 months stay and he can either get a reentry permit or a multi-entry Non-O and he can come and go if he needs to get back to the UK. After the 15 months, a permission to stay based on retirement is easy. Around 12,000b for another 12 months. No need for visa exemption or border runs. I've just done exactly that. If he's worried about the 2 visa exemptions as there are reports (but nothing official), you can only do 2 per calendar year. He just applies for a single entry tourist visa in the UK and does the same as above once in Thailand. Also, he is planning to go back in January 2025, that means he gets another 2 visa exemption entries if the 2 per calendar year is actually being implemented.
@@stacyturner3150 Your not understanding me. Regardless of what you put and this is from the Royal Thai Embassy site. The visa exempt stamp is now for 60 days but you can only enter Thailand 2 times on these in a Calendar/Tax year (This is not just land borders but includes airports). Also Thailand guideline has always been a max of 180 days on tourist status in a Calendar/Tax year. Eddy has already used his 2 visa exempt entries for this year. He has also already spent over 150 days in Thailand. So if if he applied for a tourist visa they probably wouldn’t give it. He could apply for an O-A retirement visa but then he has to have health insurance and submit a medical report that shows he is in good physical and mental health. So even if Eddy was mobile I don’t see how he could get back in Thailand this year. Yet guys comment like none of this is an issue and he could just book a flight and go.
@stacyturner3150 if he has the money the care is much cheaper in Thailand I'm guessing selling a nice house down south can pay for 24 hour care for a year if that was his choice. I'm not sure of his family situation but it could be an option can't take the cash with him
Hello Eddie, My husband had end stage lymphoma. He underwent chemo which did nothing ( a truck load of chemo and it was awful). After the chemo and little results I asked the doctor if I could put him on the anticancer diet (no sugar, no carbs, etc) and one supplement called Graviola (twice daily). In six months he became totally cancer free. That was 2 plus years ago. He is out traveling and is actually playing golf (and winning all the time) everyday. They gave him a death sentence. Well, 2 plus years later he is doing wonderful. He looks better than ever. God can work Miracles in many different ways. Don't give up. Keep your faith. I pray you become 100% cancer free.

Hi eddie, im no cancer speacialist but my missus is as a oncoligist nurse. A few things i want you to consider
1) you have been terminally diagnosed. This means regardless of treatment, the eventual outcome will be the same, its a matter of time
2) quality of life, all chemo will do when you are terminally diagnosed is extend your lifespan, not save!
Yes its the brain, but not something like pancreas, lung etc
4) wait 6 weeks before starting any chemo treatment, get a scan.

He was on his way to set up base in Cambodia
But some have been told have limited time to live left but it never happened, don’t give up on possibilities. Maybe it won’t come back, no?
God is still in the miracle business. He never changes; He’s the same yesterday, today and forever.
Pray to God and IN FAITH BELIEVING, ask Him to heal you. God bless you.
Hi Eddie.
It is not a death sentence, you have options. From someone with zero medical knowledge, who saw his wife go through brain cancer surgery in 2018(from ovarian cancer in 2016, to brain metastases in 2018) , she is still here (now 59yrs ol) in 2024.
She struggles quite a bit here and there, but we are so happy.
This is what she did.
She had brain surgery
(Not all cancer could be removed)
She had full brain radiation
She had chemo(again)
Her faith in God and her Christian faith carried her so well, that is an amazing “other” side to life.
That said, treatment may well be much better since 2018, so this is just “her story” 😊
Eddie, really, I wish you could speak to her now. She’s sayin in the background now “oh nooo he must not give up”
Sorry I write back-to-front.
Listen to this dude, Eddy! No one knows exactly what is going to happen to YOU! Regardless of what happens to others.
You're a very brave man to be putting all this out on youtube. I have genuine respect for you explaining your situation. Takes guts to do that.

I was told by an oncologist that I had the same time left back in 2011. Wasn't brain cancer but the out come was grim. I just remember feeling numb after getting the news.

I certainly wouldn’t bother with the chemotherapy, enjoy what quality time you have left without the pain of chemotherapy, I’ve seen people go through it and it just destroys them. Wish you the best mate.
Agree with you .Thats what i would do .
Exactly my thoughts
After my colon cancer operation I was told I had to have chemo. But in the meantime I had major kidney issues and refused. That was 6 years ago. F the chemo IMHO.
Lot of time chemotherapy kill you. But that's not in statistics. It's dead by cancer.
Agree
They use different combinations of chemicals/drugs for different cancers, there are approximately 200 different drugs that they use which are all used in different combinations.

Tripped over your videos when my wife and I were planning a trip to Cambodia. I've enjoyed the channel ever since. Whatever fate plays out for you, know that strangers got something from your work. Will continue watching for however long you're able to share.

When you get out of hospital eat as healthy as you possibly can ;be very strict with yourself .
Cut out sugar entirely or just have a treat once a week ,etc,etc...
You promised yourself to be in Thailand in January so please start preparing for it right now 👍 👍 .
Very best wishes to you and promise us all that you will keep fighting .
We all love you Ed (but not as much as the ladyboy in Cambodia though...😅)!
Am a retired RN. I would choose quality of life over quantity. Get a 2nd opinion and go from there. If is it truly terminal, then get back on a plane to Thailand and enjoy whatever time you have. By the way, unlike foods/milk, you do not have a specific expiration date. When Docs tell you that you have X amount of time left, it is an estimated time only.
You are a legend Ed. Wish you all the very best
