Your experience with the sound system is shared with most. The lack of deeper/fuller bass is one thing that really stuck out to me and my wife. It was as if the subwoofer in the trunk was not really producing much bass, and there's no way to adjust that, like in the Polestar 2 and 3. We had an order for a Polestar 4, but cancelled it, and ordered a Polestar 3 instead. On that note, when will you review the Polestar 3?!!
No 🇳🇴 using the right lanes is a really bad habit, that they take with them to 🇩🇰and the rest of 🇪🇺resulting in many risky situations. Please teach them to drive in the right lanes when possible. And thanks for another interesting VLOG.
Nice video, nice car, crappy or laggy infotainment. Just like VW in the early EV days. The Polestar 4 showcases why Chinese cars have such a bad infotainment. It seems that this time, Volvo rushed it, just like VW did with the ID.3
this car is giving me a lot of EX30 vibes, in a bad way. Shitty steering wheel buttons, buggy software, wierd slow-then-fast charging. Glad I didn't pre-order.
considering your complains about the consumption of the kia ev9 with 7 seats an much more space an practicability. THIS is UNREAL like you said in the KIa video.
ID 7 is gone because I'm 2 m and when I adjust the seat so I'm sitting well, then I touch the steering wheel with my fingers, not the first VW I've sat in that way
You shouldn’t trust what the onboard computer is telling about consumption. You wouldn’t do it with a fossil car! For the consumer counts what has to be recharged for a given distance (incl. charging losses) Likewise is important the charging time for a given distance - not x% to y% Let say: it takes 15min to recharge for 200km Very much like what you are doing and enjoy watching 👍
The interior mirror is not an innovation. The Honda E had this right from the start, as well as camera-based exterior mirrors. And they have been working perfectly here in my car for 4 years. However, the look and position is also better than it was on the ETron.
Remember that the model is very important. A P4 on 21 inch fat tires and 500hp will use more energy than a Volkswagen with 19 inch skinny tires and half the horsepower. The LRSM polestar 2 goes 100km further than the LRDMP does…
It will be better soon. I bought my Polestar 2 when it launched in 2020. Terrible consumption because of new car and early software. After 4 years i have much better range and efficiency after nearly 120 000 km on the odometer. Thats because of all the updates they released making it better.
@@tesla-spectre 18kwh/100 at 90 is still good in my opinion for this big heavy car with 21 inch tires and AWD. My problematic Tesla model 3 with 18 inch tires i had averaged 12-13 KwH/100 km and that car was lightweight and built of cheap plastic. This Polestar 4 will probably get much better very soon with all the updates.
@@sargfowler9603 I know that and Polestar are in premium car category but why don't you compare the money you pay and what you get out of it. Offcourse it is personal on choosing car brands but here is a lot to consider and think when someone wants to buy electric car.
I think the audio quality is being affected by the noise from outside the car. It seems these cars aren't well insulated from wind noise, a number of reviewers mentioned the road/wind noise when testing these vehicles.
@@quavohuncho6156 Interesting. At what speeds were you driving? A lot of the reviewers at the launch event mentioned the cars let in some road noise at higher speeds, I understand those were per-production vehicles but, in this video I could hear some noise being picked up by the mic.
You know you can use cruise control when in traffic jam, right? There’s a good safety related reason why one pedal drive is not enabled on the id.7… because break discs might become rusty and your braking will be worse during an emergency situation. It could be solved through software though.
@@cos_marc There is no difference in one pedal driving coming to stop or you slightly breaking yourself. An electric motor can't break to a full stop, one pedal driving is achieved by software automatic apply physical breaks to cover the last 5-10 km/h. The only reason why a company would not include one pedal option is skill issue. The software needs to be reliable in applying / releasing the break based on the input on the throttle. If that is not proper done you might get unexpected break behavior when coming to a stop. And we all know that VW has big issues with software :D
@bjornnyland Indeed, that's what you call a 'halo', an optical phenomenon when the light interacts with ice crystals in the atmosphere. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo_(optical_phenomenon). Thanks for the review, interesting times for EV land with this Polestar 4, Q6 and wondering if the A6 would top them
Interesting talk 👍🏻 It’s not so much that I don’t want this or that brand. I want a car that actually performs and delivers like it was derived from previous development and success (the best of ICE). In my experience, very few EVs deliver on that note today (2024).
A halo around the sun is caused by refraction through ice crystals very high up in the atmosphere

12:38 clever how the sun reflection is a polestar logo

Such a beautiful car, but those controls on the steering wheel 🤢
They feel as bad as they look
I like the design, but couldn't justify to get the same range as ID.7 with a much bigger battery. It's really funny😅
Twice the horsepower, larger tires and worse aero… It would be a miracle if it had more range
