Planning on om605td swapping my Isuzu amigo next year just figuring out how to keep the stock MUA5 tranny (60* GM bellhousing) in it. Might have to fabricate my own adapters
Great job Eli! I’m Very Proud of you! I’ll give you shout next time I’m in Kentucky! Hoping to move back there soon. Tell the fam I said hello. Be safe kid!
Very nice build. Definitely change the thumbnail and title and watch views increase by alot. I have a standalone om648 engine attached to a 4l80e with a np241c transfer case. my question to you is this, If it was your idea, would you choose between a chevy 1500 pickup, Jeep xj or what car would you put this build on ?
Exelente swap uno de los mejor s motores el om606 pero sinceramente ese humo no hace falta no llega a quemar todo el combustible y pierdes potencia y se ve muy feo te lo digo por experiencia
Ok I feel like I need this in my jk. Do you do swaps for other people? What is the realistic cost on this? Over 30k? Are there 8 or 10 speed trans options? Are you able to retain the factory guage functionality?
Nice Build! Curious about what creature comforts of the JK you were able to keep and what you lost... did the build manage to keep the instrument cluster functional and more importantly did you lose the cruise control going to the mechanical pump?
Dakota Digtal is the new cluster we used. Its all bluetooth and does alot more than the factory one. Dakota also has a cruise control system I plan on installing.
Love this build so damn much, I have a JKU that I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Have you guys tested this off-road on slow steep climbs? Wondering how it does when waiting for boost to kick in during the slow crawling stuff?? Also wondering what the MPG is like?
I'm curious about the wiring portion of the swap. I want to do this in my 13 Ram 1500. Did yall maintain factory gauge functions for use and aftermarket set up?
Awesome build, love that you covered a lot of the little technical details. I'm building something similar to this with an om605td + nag1 + jeep transfer case. I'm wondering which torque converter you used behind the om606?
I’m in the midst of doing an OM606 swap into my Jeep XJ. I was curious about your inconel inserts. I’m sourcing parts right now and I’ve got two 606s, so I’ve got spare pre chambers. Do you sell the inserts?
@@esee5masterI have already made a few videos just haven’t published. It’s only the engine rebuild, but I might have to abandon the project since I’m moving overseas.
I'm going to attempt a similar om606 swap into a Jeep JKU, and I have a question. Did you have to relocate anything (radiator) in order to make the OM606 fit into the engine bay? It's longer than the stock motor. Also, any chance you'd beinterested in fabricating and selling those inserts and/or engine mounts? I've never made engine mounts before and it's what's holding me back currently.
So I am wondering about om606 swapping my jkur any tips and or tricks Or even a good spot to find a decent on606 lol 😂 there aren’t many out here where I am
Just had a few questions. I am doing the exact same build on my 2013 jeep jk. It's the best build imo. First your video was great. I have been talking with sound german automotive about the trans controller. Did you use them or the OFgear controller? Have you seen the One gauge dash gauges? that's what i plan to use. Also where did you get he torque converter specd at? Thanks.
Where u located ??? I'm in north Carolina,,,,, was wondering how much clearance issues u had with the fire wall and radator????? Any mods to fire wall , trans tunnel , radiator support ect ???
looks like a pretty extensive build, when DPUK does his big turbo builds he usually gets 400+ hp, I'd guess this is running the same, my money is on 430-450
Arent diesels pretty low reving by nature ? To get 6000 RPM is a very high RPM . How did you get it to rev so high ? Are there any trade offs for it reving so high ?
6000 rpm is stock redline, some people get 7k rpm out these with better valve springs but at that point your running out of efficiency range with diesel
Actually Eli’s did most of the work. It’s my jeep. But the only 18year old I know that I could trust to do a top notch job. Working with him everyday makes projects an work flow very easy. If most 18 year olds has his determination you wouldn’t have to ask about daddy’s money. 🤷🏻♂️….

FINALLY A NEW VIDEO!!! please do more videos! really wanna see more of your tacoma aswell.
So cool. If you guys get the a/c working too this will be the most legit engine swap ever.
The stock a/c compressor from the jeep bolts right up to the 606 with no alignment issues. It will be hooked up soon.
@@matthewsowder7412 seriously?? 3.8 or 3.6? Factory hoses can be used as well?
