Idc if you guys see this or not but this channel has been one of the places I go for comfort for so long. I love you guys so much and you make me so happy 🫶🫶🫶
love the pfp
Sam, you should totally get back into theatre! I quit after high school having never been cast as a lead. My biggest part was also Bet in Oliver! Just this past month, I decided to get back into theatre after 9 years off the stage. I was inspired by my husband who got back into it last year. I was so scared to audition and almost left when I got there and found out it was an open audition but I pushed through. The musical is Something Rotten and my husband and I actually got cast as Nick and Bea Bottom. I was so scared of trying to get back into it and being rusty but honestly I feel like I'm home again. I'm so happy I got over my fear and auditioned because now I get to go and be surrounded by my people and feel proud of the work we're doing. It's 100% worth it!
Actually, not sure I used open audition correctly. What I meant was that I had to audition in front of everyone else auditioning, not just the people casting.
omg congratulations!!! i was just in a production of Something Rotten last month it was so much fun!
I started watching this channel because I recognized Ryan, but with more videos I watch, the more I like Sam.She is just so likable and adorable and won me over so fast
Sam talking about being a theater girl and being such a fangirl, i love it soo much ! thats how wxcatly feel about theater, i love it soo much ! and thank you for giving us theater content to feel more envolve in the community! love u
This is one of the best channels I have ever found. It has gotten me out of some tough spots and I don’t know a lot of theater kids, so you and Ryan really inspire me to enjoy the things I enjoy.
Oh wow this was very relatable, the standout ensemble member notes story is so me haha :D I love doing community theatre as my hobby outside of work as well as passionately watching as much theatre as I can, it's nice to hear about your experiences with it :)
WE DID NOT GO “UGH”! YOU ARE THE MOMENT
no way your first musical was seussical!!! my school is doing it currently, and I play ms mayor! the “we’re who’s here” is one of my favs!
I did Suessical this year!!
I played Horton in seussical way back when!
My favorite theater kids! Love you guys!
I love how you mentioned that even though Ryan is a professional actor, he’s still a theatre kid, because that’s how I found this channel! I was at a point in my life where I just happened to stumble into the theatre channels on RUclips. I remember discovering Katherine Steele, Amy Lovatt, Sam & Ryan simultaneously, so I just genuinely forget that Ryan IS a famous Broadway actor, who has originated roles. Part of that goes to show how humble and grateful he is, but it also proves your point because I see him first as a theatre kid, just like you!
I’m just super proud of both of you for what you get to do as part of your respective lives, and I thank you both for creating such a positive but also transparent space here for all or theatre, whether it’s musical theatre or just plays 🙋🏽♂️. We know those groups can become very divisive, but despite not having that experience (and trust me, you don’t me involved in an vocal work 😅), I have never once felt left out or ostracized, on this channel. So thank you Sam, and thank you Ryan, for proving that you can always be a theatre kid at heart. No shame!!!
Hey Ma! I made the pre-show!
Love this! You should do more like this as well as solo vlogs.
I saw your face and said “hi mom!!” 😁 I really like ths coparenting
My favorite musical is Annie. I went to see Annie the musical when it was touring.
you should do more &j mentions in videos it's my favourite + this is one of my comfort channels
I love ur vids!! This channel will always be #1 for me to watch theatre content! Love you guys ❤
At my community theater, we did Sound of Music once and we had to add a set of twins because there was so many kids in all of the casts that we just that we made Captain VonTrap have nine kids.
I understand why directors and teachers have favorites, and they have them for good reasons, but my experience with favorites was in middle school, where my director seemed to have some sort of hatred towards me and didn’t even cast me. Five years, four auditions, zero roles.
I’m doing Aladdin right now at my community theater and I’m Babkak (and my cousins are Omar and kassim)
OMG FELLOW BABKAK!!! Hiii 💚
@@abbycolquhoun7025 I’m really excited I’ve only had one rehearsal so far
Awe Suessical was my first musical, too! I was also a Who, though one of many in the kids Who ensemble. 20 years later I'm doing Suessical as an adult playing Mayzie.
This was such an amazing video to watch 🥰
Theatre kid here, currently in rehearsals for Legally Blonde! Unfortunately didn't get my dream role (Elle) since Im a sophmore, but I love my friends and the whole cast is so talented.
my first theatre experience was at my jewish sleep away camp where we did west side story. we were all in 5th grade or younger.
My first musical was Seussical the Musical! Loved that show! Wish I had kept up, but plan to get into local theatre soon in the Cincinnati area.
i did annie in 7th grade (it was a high school production) and my friend was mrs greeer and i was one of the 5 orphan girls (july) and i got to sing a little solo and now that i look back, that show was so bad...
I was always the "featured dancer" in school and community theater because I was one of the only people with dance experience.
I’m a band kid who likes some musicals such as newsies and heathers. I got to see heathers because my classmate from Catholic school played Veronica. I did take some theater in elementary tho.
Edit: just before you ask it was performed at a library which has a theater venue and it from a separate theater company for kids and teens.
Y’all did heathers at a Catholic school😅😂
I saw it preformed in a church…so I can’t be talking…but that seems a bit wierd
@@MountYourHorsesDrawYourSwords. No it was from a different theater company for kids and teens. It was performed at a library which has a theater venue
I love this ❤
Love ya
Take a bow Sam! You are a great theater girly!
HEY SAM!! SOOOO pround to be a theater kid. theater kids assemble! ❤
edit: hey if anyone has time to read this, I would really appreciate it. I'm auditioning for footloose in a little while and I don't know what song to use for my audition piece. (it has to be from a musical) and I don't know what musical/song will fit the same vibe as footloose??
EDIT!!!! - So yall i auditioned today and it went really well! i ended up getting with my old music teacher for some voice lessons and he suggested i sing "on my own" from les misrebels! it went really really well thank you for your help ❤

happy late world theare day :) also my friends in suessical (cindy lou who) and i think the little "were whos here" is gona make her rlly happy
Not me having an Alice from Twilight haircut era too
I'm definitely in a place where the arts aren't very accessible. Not as bad as maybe some other places, but I do live in the rural south (Arkansas) where the arts and specifically theatre is just not focused on at all. We have one community theatre but it sucks. I was in Bye Bye Birdie with them but it was just not great. Everyone also knows everyone so it's hard to do anything without people knowing about it, particularly my family because I get so weirded out with them watching me do these things lol
first!!!! 🎉🎉
AHHHHH OMG I PLAYED MRS.GREER WHEN I WAS REALLY LITTLE I THOUGHT NO ONE KNEW HER ❤❤❤❤
5:44 That's my question! I don't know how you managed to sum up exactly how I feel about it, but you did, so...
“A person that i was in love with” (heart broken🥰)
I may not have been here since the beginning but this channel for the past year is we’re I find comfort I’ve had a really rough week lately, my boyfriend broke up with me because he said that I was to invested into theater😭 but I’m gonna stay with theater because it brings me comfort i tend to come to this channel because of the theater content and because I feel like we’re having a conversation with you guys keep up the great work! 🫶❤️✨
just me that gets excited when they post?
absolutely not
I did theater in middle school and high school. We were affectionately known as “theater geeks” 😂 honestly I didn’t mind it at all
thats so crazy my first musical was ALSO Seussical 😭😭 i was a whickersham
I don't know if you already know this, but one of your videos is featured at the end of a MsMojo video. I got the biggest jump scare of my life when i saw Ryan's being uncomfortable with compliments face at the end of a video about stunt casting.
It’s kinda scary how similar our theater kid experience was. We did almost all the same shows too 😳
NOTES TIME TRAUMA WAS MY COMMENT SHE KNOWS I EXIST ILY SAM 9:57
