You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but you're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see

El toro’s first drop in the back row is out of this world
Yeah definitely

Back car middle row gives you the best ride possible on El Toro
Skyrush Lap Bars: *exists*
Airtime Thrills: How many times do I have to teach you this lesson, old man!?!?

Skyrush: I like the young people
I love the young people.
@@AirtimeThrills eltoro sucks it is painful and the bar hits by stomach as it tries to suffocate me
@@nickdambrosio7416 How???
Skyrush’s drop is ridiculously good, if the lap bars aren’t for you it’s a ride ruined but if you can get through the restraints, the ride is incredible.
if u could get through the restraints, you'd be dead
when i lapped skyrush last year i thought i was going to fall off the train
My favorite first drop is on the Vekoma kiddie coasters. The way it gives you that gut punch is phenomenal.
Actually semi true
I actually got some legit airtime in the back row of a zierer kiddie coaster
@@brucegibson1813 no way man Wich one
@@Canadas_Wonderland_Nerd timber twister at GilRoy gardens, plus you go through the layout twice 😂

Probably caused the ride to close for two hours.

I thought it was a bird lol
I love how creative your lists are You just can’t find anything like this on RUclips with the same amount of quality. Thx for the vids and may their be many more to come
I think Goliath at SFGAm actually has a quite underrated drop. It's absolutely massive, 180 ft, and taking that at 85 degrees on a wooden coaster just feels insane.
Its a good first drop, but I agree that RB is a little better. and at the same park demon has a surprisingly good first drop but again its only in the back row.
It’s so good
It doesn't have enough momentum going into it but it is good
@@ThrillSeekersandHellRaisersI live raging bull but I think Goliath’s might be better. It feels like it lasts forever in the back row because of the round shaping. Gives more airtime.
I’m spoiled having that el toro first drop at my home park
Same lmao
Same
SFGAm here, Goliath + Raging Bull is also pretty great.
I’m happy I have El Toro at my home park ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
K.K Slider?!? Is that you?!?
Wouldn't be an Airtime Thrills video without complaints about restraints!
Kinda like Theme Park Crazy without a reupload
I’m glad to have SF Great America as my home park. Goliath and Raging Bull are two of the best first drops I’ve ever been on. Raging Bull might even be the best.
yo SF great america is my home park too! i was just there on saturday for the first time this season and i got to get on pretty much every roller coaster and some of the best ones twice!
Everybody loves raging bull.
Who doesn’t love the back row?
Anyone
Me
I do not enjoy it if it's on a pre-modern Woody. Not enough restraint, plus it slams my back.
Me. I prefer front seat ejector over being whipped. Although at the expense of the first drop…
I’ve ridden a hell of a lot of coasters but maverick in the back row forced me to take a nap for an hour in the middle of the park lol couldn’t wear my glasses cuz I didn’t have a strap and without them I’m legally blind so that ride wrecked me but I still love it 😂
When you said RMC drops under 170 FT, I instantly knew you put 170 because of IRATs 171 FT Drop
Iron Rattlers first drop is just different

SDC is my home park. Been on Wildfire many times. I always pick the last row and as long as the employee doesn't push the restraint down too much you will float out of your seat on that first drop. I have ridden this ride when the restraint wasn't pushed down on me at all, and most people might not be comfortable with that, but it is one of the safest ways to feel like you're free falling! It's simply amazing
SDC is my home park too I've been going since I was younger I'm 16 now and I love going, and I love the park and I really like Outlaw Run, Time Traveler, and Wildlife
I'll never forget going on El Toro for the first time, with my mom of course. Her and I are coaster junkies and our first time was on the very back row.
As much as you, I cannot stress this enough; RIDE THE BACK ROW.
I totally agree with Raging Bull, I've heard it was amazing before I experienced it in the back so I came on high expectations and it still was 1,000,000 times better than I expected. It is one of my favorite B&M Hypers just because of that one moment, last time I went to sfgam I marathoned it 7 times in the back because it is just that good.
I did this also, just kept lapping it since that drop was so addictive
Finally experienced my first B&M giga drop and it was everything I could have hoped for Orion’s drop is absolute bliss
Of all the 102 coasters I've been on, my top 5 drops are:
5. Steel Curtain
4. Millennium Force
3. I305
2. Twisted Timbers
1. El Toro
I'm really surprised Twisted Timbers didn't make this list. It gives hangtime and very powerful airtime at the same time, while also giving strong lateral forces. It's just pure insanity. Yes, I've also been on storm chaser, but that one just doesn't feel the same. I feel like Twisted Timbers has the most underrated drop out there.
What's not to like about hanging upside down at 198 ft. Also the view going up the lift hill on Steel Curtain, Particularly on the right hand side is insane. Feels a lot higher than 212 ft.
Twisted Timbers was the only coaster I didn’t get to go on
You and Mr. Roller Coasters are a great 1-2 punch for coaster countdowns
Rode El Toro for the first time two weeks ago! That beef coaster is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 going back tomorrow! 😈
Rode El Toro for the first time in the back car yesterday, and I absolutely agree; that first drop is lethal
I got to ride cannibal for the first time about a week ago and it was absolutely insane. It's my current favorite drop and I don't expect it to really change anytime soon
I’m admittedly probably what people would refer to as “GP” (just by virtue of not living near many amusement parks and being a college student who doesn’t have time/money to road trip), but I’ve gotten really addicted to your videos recently. I’ve learned a lot about different coasters and manufacturing companies from you. I really like coasters and riding them, but I haven’t got a lot of credits because of my location (Carowinds is the closest thing to me, for reference). This channel really makes me wanna start to branch out and try everything. Thanks for the great content!
You're not GP. GP is for people who fit 2 categories - 1. Act like they know roller coasters/amusement parks and constantly give out wrong information. 2. Think whatever rides are at their home park are "the greatest/scariest/tallest etc ever"
Don't feel bad, we all had to start somewhere. Welcome aboard & enjoy your ride I'd say!
I live in between two parks that are both around 2 and 3 hours away from me respectively, but I've gathered a good amount of knowledge from these videos in the meantime when we're not going anywhere as well as during these COVID closures, not just Airtime Thrills but a couple other channels/standalone videos.
Carowinds is my home park also. It's really upgraded in the last 10 years or so. Nothing wrong with having Fury 325 at your doorstep. I did a park trek in the early 2000s that was pretty affordable. Had the Paramount pass and did a day trip to Six Flags over Georgia to get that pass. Hit Kings Island, SF Worlds of Adventure (lol), Cedar Point, Hersheypark, Kennywood, SF New England, SF Great Adventure, SF America, and Kings Dominion. Lot of sleeping in my car, but it wasn't terribly expensive. Managed to hit a few that are no longer around including Volcano, Hypersonic XLC, and the actual looping Son of Beast (it was just as painful and rough as everyone says).
Anyone that call someone a "GP" is just an entitled douchebag.
i love millenniums drop. no matter which seat you’re in, it feels like you’re falling off the edge of the world and the drop feels like it last forever but it’s exciting the whole way down
Thank you for mentioning Tennessee Tornado's drop! Extremely underrated and one of my all time favorites! Getting yanked down that drop in the back with ejector air underground in darkness is something special!
I love X2's first drop. I have only been on that ride 5 times and all 5 were in in both the 1st and 2nd rows, but that face-first dive is great no matter what.
I also like the first drops that occur after the launches on Incredicoaster at California Adventure and Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios Hollywood. Both give some good airtime. Depending on where you sit on Incredicoaster, you can get either some floater airtime or ejector airtime.
If Oscars Wacky Taxi isn’t on here I’m out
Sadly its not
Not even an honorable mention. Smh.
Carol Spinney’s ghost is upset.
Never ridden the taxi but i imagine its...good
If Kozmo’s Kurves isn’t on here I’m going to choke a plant
Who’s this guy and we’re is that little girl who runs the channel?
Roller Coaster Addict lol I wonder who takes her to all these theme park’s
I Talk coasters probably her mom or something like that
lasergunslinger your probably right
Her coaster collection includes kids rides.
Totally with you on Tennesee Tornado. Rode in the back a few weeks ago. Out of my seat the whole way down.
I remember the first time I rode The Joker at Discovery Kingdom... I had my hands in the air and halfway through the drop I panicked and had to grab the handles, I thought I was flying out of the chair! I'm surprised to see it so low on the list but that just means I really need to try all of these other coasters!
It’s so underrated!
The drop on Tennessee Tornado is no joke for sure
I wasn’t expecting too much with Wicked Cyclone since it’s not the biggest of all time, but as my first RMC it blew me away. The way you get yanked down it is insane and still gets me reasonably nervous before it. RMC is too good.
As a seasoned coaster fan. I agree with the number one. The first time I rode el toro I felt like I was riding my first roller coaster again and feeling that unreal gut dropping feeling
Aye we all know E&F miler drops are insane and top all coasters on this list
Every coaster except DUPLO Dino Coaster
Well that goes without saying
Oh come on, we all know the flying fish is better than that RMC and Intamin crap
Low key, the first drop on racer 75 at Kings Dominion is one of my favorites.
If you’ve ever been back row on Goliath at SFGAM at NIGHT...you m ow how absolutely insane that first drop is. You get whipped so fast you feel like you’re gonna fly off the ride itself. Absolutely one of my favorite drops ever
My favorite drop is el toro, 2nd is skyrush. I didn't feel the leg amputation until the brake run, so I was able to enjoy the ejector airtime on that drop.
I’m glad Tennessee Tornado got some recognition, it’s genuinely a good ride
Loving your creative video ideas!
Cannibals drop really is amazing. Riding the elevator in the dark beforehand only adds to the impact when they raise the curtain at the top of the tower.
The first drop of el toro is crazy cause when you come off the lift hill your just staring at the drop coming around that turn, it literally feels like you’re falling into an abyss
I’m going to Dollywood this Thursday for the first time, so I’m glad to see some of their coasters on the list. 👍
Diamondback isn’t my favorite hyper but you didn’t lie about the first drop. It is AMAZING
I'm so happy to see Tennessee Tornado get some love. Dollywood is my home park. That drop is so fun. The little dip is a teaser then boom down you go
I ABSOLUTELY LIVE for the back row left seat. Love it On ALL rollercoasters...that's my fav seat.
Glad to see my boi iron rattler on here
Silver bullet has one the steepest drops 👌
Mr Giga you are so right
IKR it is actually the steepest drop at 130°
But no one talks about it because it gets overshadowed by that killer drop on Jaguar.
Tiffany Zhang I know I think it’s 350 miles per hour because it’s so fast
@Natasha McHattan u dont get the jokes 🤦♀️
Twisted Cyclone deserves it's own spot. That turn to the left was very unexpected and very thrilling
My Top 3 (I've done most of the parks in Europe and a few in America)
Number 1 - DC Rivals backwards
Number 2 - DV Rivals last forward facing row
Number 3 - Karnan
They are the only drops that immediately stand out to me as the best I've experienced.
I’ve ridden Lightning Run more times than I can count, and ever since my first ride on it in 2014 at age 9, the drop has always been the best part. 80 degrees at 90ft. Max height is insane
The Monster at Adventureland is so much fun. I know you gave Euro fighters love at #16, but this one needs a special mention
I havent ridden that yet but I threw in infinity coasters also since theyre all about the same
Indeed, I don't know why Steel Vengeance's first drop is not more loved by others. That was the only time during a first drop I felt like my soul was trailing my body!
I was surprised to see Raging Bull that high, but your right. That little pre drop does the trick for the back row. I feel like I’m going to get catapulted into the water park immediately followed by a quick yank downward. Took my breath away the first time, as I was not ready for it.
the YELP I let out when you said “#1: NOT...” just made my day. Thank you for the laugh my dude.
You never specify that entrants had to be coasters, so I think Falcon’s Fury should be on this list. I know what you meant, but this is a serious snub.
Nonono, it's gotta be Mach Tower, lmao.
Hmmm yeah "first drop" including drop towers is a little outside the scope lol
@@AirtimeThrills well you can argue that certain towers have multiple drops
I agree with both of you. This is a coaster list so FF doesn't qualify but it's still the only ride that puts the fear of God in me every time.
A coaster is different
That X2 drop is the only one to this day that still scares me. Every time I ride it I feel terrified going up the lift hill knowing what's to come. What an amazing way to start off a coaster that has no mercy.
I've been on several of these roller coasters but the Mamba at worlds of fun KC has become my favorite first and second drop coasters. I really thought I would see it on this list.
To me,The restraints don’t take anything away from my favorite drops in the world on Wonder women Golden lasso and Maverick
Same I love wonder woman’s first drop at you have a little bit of speed going into it and fly out of your seat in the back row
TBH I'd rather have OTSRs than shinguards.
@@TheSonicsean agreed
Odd video idea: How to pick the best seat on a roller coaster. You know, based on what the coaster offers and the personal preference of the rider
Newer inverts: front row
Hyper coasters: towards the back
Intamin impulse: front or back row. Middle for V2
Arrow Loopers: front row
X2: Back row
Most wooden coasters: Back row.
Night ride on the beast: front row.
@@zachcoastercrazy4032 X2 is hella bumpy in the back
@@NorCalCoasterMedia I heard it is better in the inside seat
@@zachcoastercrazy4032 Inside Front probably the best
I think what helps with the B&M giga coasters and their insane feeling like forever drops is that their lift troughs end earlier than on most B&M hypers and their shorter trains, and so the train will drop quicker and the drop is experienced more than on the hyper coasters, especially in the back, OMG
This is an absolutely awesome list, and glad to see diamondback here (my home park!!). This is probably going to be surprising, but one of the wildest drops I’ve experienced is on the back row of Mystic Timbers. It’s only 98 feet and 53.7°, but it’s the first time where I had to physically grab onto my lap bar because I thought I was being flung out of the train. It could be because it was so unexpected, but it’s a drop I’ll never get over. Plus the rest of the ride is good!
Prediction:
1. El Toro
2. X2
3. Raging Bull
4. Fury 325
Edit: Hey I wasn’t far off at all! Great video especially the Skyrush part!
Time Traveler Row 8 at Night in the freezing cold while snowing is the greatest coaster experience
Agreed
That sounds incredible
I love Ghost Rider’s first drop at Knott’s Berry Farm because you get some really good ejector airtime if you’re sitting in the back and it’s never ending 56 mph speed is amazing! By the second drop the ride speeds up and the airtime is ridiculous on the last 7 airtime hills!
Thank u for including the voyage one of my favorite coaster
I went on X2 in the back row when I was 5...
Can confirm, is insane.
I've been terrified of coasters ever since.
I still ride them though.
My favourite is easily Expedition GeForce drop. Insanely intense and the laterals really add to it and make it feel insanely out of control. Although I really enjoyed Untamed's drop aswell
Great vid quality is top notch keep up the good work
@Jeremy Therien lol
El Toro is definitely the top of my list. Better than expected. My tops...in no particular order
Thunderbolt (Kennywood)
Millennium Force
El Toro
Griffon &
Lochness Monster, probably because it’s the first major coaster I rode back in 1981 at age 9 and it still thrills me all these years later.
Lightning Run?
Nothing special, but good
Airtime Thrills “Nothing Special” . Really?
Airtime Thrills I know for a fact it’s better than Dback and Voyage.
How do you know for a fact? Lol it’s an opinion. Everyone’s are different.
Coaster Bruh WRONG you are not picked and biased. I win. Bye bye.
Superman: Escape from Krypton has a fantastic first drop...which is also the last element of the ride...
As a lifelong Hershey resident and season pass holder to Hersheypark, I fully support and agree with your trashing of dear ol Thighcrush. Keep up the good work my friend!
I just love your reviews on rollercoasters 😊.
No.1 (Tie) Ghostrider, Silver Bullet, Titan (SFOT), Goliath (SFMM).
Well done
I'm shocked that B&M winged coasters aren't here. I love the feeling of being hung upside down before that curve down to the ground. Swarm at Thorpe park is an absolutely great example of this and is actually a pretty great ride all around pulling some nice sustained g and the zero g roll is one of my favourite moments on any coaster. It's just far too short
I've ridden GateKeeper and that wing over drop is awesome. The thing that ruins it is the fact that the second the train starts to bottom out, the restraints decide it's time to staple you so hard your hips start to hurt. If that didn't happen, those drops would be legendary
Its a good day when airtime thrills uploads! Awesome videos keep it up.
I love the Raging Bull drop.
0:26 LOL 😂😂😂
The twisted cyclone’s drop is insane for 100 feet
I too hate over the shoulder restraints, for slightly different reasons. I’m just barely 5 feet tall, which results in unavoidable ear bashing. It also makes me feel like I’m about to slip out of the middle during inversions.
I’ve yet to ride anything 200 feet, but here are a few of my favorites:
-Lightning Run: That dive right off the hill, though not the tallest, is amazing.
-Mystic Timbers: I love the feeling of flying sideways into the curve.
-The Bat: Just plain fun going into the ravine.
-Thunderhead: I rode it in high school and it was one of the few fun memories I have of Dollywood. Going back this year for my birthday and we’ll see how it holds up.
The first drop on the swarm at Thorpe park is insane especially with the headchopper
Airtime thrills: ranks to great American coasters on this list.

I actually got to experience Banshee in the back row (which was a luck based mission since the ride ops were assigning rows). Intense doesn't even begin to describe it. The drop and pretzel knot were especially bonkers.
El Toro is by far the best first drop, great list! I love Sky Rush, but I agree the restraints kill! I rode it the first year it opened and I felt they were more comfortable a year later, I felt let my legs were being cut off. I would like to see new trains with better lap restraints.
Prediction: iron gwazi's will be top 5

El Toro is king here in the US and maybe anywhere. The only contenders I've ridden elsewhere are Thunder Dolphin and Expedition GeForce.

DUPLO Dino Coaster
I’m not an enthusiast but I always have loved roller coasters. Knotts his my home park and we went to cedar point last year! Goliath at magic mountain may not be the best ride, but it’s drop is amazing for me, especially in the front
I was waiting for raging bull. Thank you!
Im with you on Raging Bull. Honestly in my 3 visits to the park, that was one of the rides I look forward to the most. Not sure if its my FAVORITE hyper, but its DEFINATELY underrated.
The drop I felt on Goliath at Six Flags NE before they had the new trains. That is one of the most insane things I’ve ever experienced.
I would have thought you were insane if I was told this a couple years back but honestly one of my favorite drops is on Timberwolf at WoF, rode it in the back row the other day just to get the credit and OMFG! The airtime was almost demonic! For the first time ever on a coaster I was legitimately scared! You hit the drop with some speed and it's pretty normal until you hit the little kink and I actually screamed in terror! It was heavenly!!!
My favorite drop is still Steel Vengeance. Great video!
