What a great tune. Quintessentially British, with that 60's soul swing. Love the scooter crew theme in the video too.
Well, the soul swing smacks of the 60's but since the song was released in the 80's that's the decade I personally associate the song with (and a GLORIOUS decade it was to live through, especially as a teenager or twenty-something).
Aside from being a great song, this video implanted a love of Vespa scooters in me as a 10 year old kid in the Midwest USA. I don't think I'd ever seen one before. Im still riding my Vespas 36 years later. Thanks to FYC!

My mum was going shopping in the 90s with my little sister in her pushchair and she was sat opposite roland gift on the train to hull. And later on in the 90s he went into a pub in the village where I lived and I had a drink with him amongst locals and he signed a bunch of records for the dj in the pub in north ferriby in the duke of Cumberland 😊

When I was younger I would never listen to this kind of music but due to the lack of good music I would say without a doubt compared to today's music this is a genuine masterpiece

The start is basically Tainted Love by Gloria Jones so very Northern Soul indeed.
@@drdavecolly-- Gloria Jones' Tainted Love is from 1964. This first appeared in a movie that was set around that time (Tin Men)...hence the retro sound.
People forget it was originally recorded in late 1986 for Tin Men, where FYC is the house band for the movie.
