Corey is so well spoken. The way he explained George and Charlotte’s love story made me tear up 🥺. “It’s the first time George sees someone being themselves. First time Charlotte sees that. And it’s the first time that they experience being seen as well”. Damn, that’s so powerful.
The way Tom was so proud of Corey and India’s chemistry and Shonda couldn’t stop laughing at them 😊plus all the cast answers were phenomenal plus they are super funny
Baby, Shonda hit it out of the park with Queen Charlotte.... and the script, the cast, STELLAR! Corey and India broke my heart. So beautiful... Just loved the whole project, the music, the costumes...all of it. Glad for their success.
THIS AUDIENCE IS SOOOOO LUCKY!!!! can you imagine watching the first episode of this MASTERPIECE then getting to sit in on this amazing panel with these talents?! OMG AND THE OG QUEEN... SHONDA!!!!
The amount of times I rewatched 48:39 should singlehandedly turn it into the Most Replayed moment lol. They are always so fun and I love the reaction of Golda and other "olders" to their bickering, especially Shonda who was nodding like "yep, these are our kids, we hit the jackpot" 😂
I'm obsessed with them! And i can relate with India so much like shes 21 and I'm 22, and what she said about find yourself , find what you like to do or your place in the world reminds me that I'm not alone, I'm not the only one who is struggling with self-esteem and be a black woman in society. PS: Corey mylchreest really is a bonus WHAT A MAN he's funny, gorgeous, kind and talented I'm in love.
I'm obsessed with them as well and I'm twice your age + 😄. We never stop growing because there's always something new to learn about yourself through others. Shonda Rhimes shows and her team have always showed real human experiences and emotions. I also did research on Queen Charlotte and King George. These stories make you want to learn more.
I worked on the show and it was such a fun time. Tom Verica is such a kind leader. He is the opposite of every bad director stereotype. And the host was right about Arsema. Her face is flawless.
Yes! Love Tom! He does not get enough credit or air time. He is just as much a part of the Bridgerton world's beauty and success as the actor's but most do not know or realize.
Shonda is the most wondrous Wordsmith! 44:54 “we are writing into history that which has been erased”. Amazing. Slavery was a stain on humanity. I want to celebrate Black people as much as anyone, and I’m a middle aged Chinese-American woman! Yet, I feel seen! Shonda is elevating all races. ❤ love & respect! #QueenCharlotte
This is probably my favorite interview with them. The topics touched upon were so insightful, & I loved hearing their experiences. What India said at 33:43 was so significant in that it truly is a universal thing that black people experience, as sad as it can be to truly dive into why it's also a powerful feeling to lean into with each other. Great & insightful interview. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is really a great series. It's fiction, obviously, but they did a fantastic job of telling the stories of mental illness, friendship, race, & class in the Georgian era, where it could be authentic then & definitely is today, all the while telling this love story. A job well done; they absolutely killed it. 👏🏾💕
Sheinelle did the dern thing moderating👏🏽 This cast and crew is simply phenomenal!! If you haven’t watched it yet, go run to see it🏃🏽♀️💨 When Shonda said that Danbury loves her husband as a Black man, I was so moved. I couldn’t put into words their dynamic since she despised him yet was so tender to him. That made it all make sense👌🏽
I light be the only one who has done this but I've watched Queen Charlotte series more than 5 times and I'm now on my 6th time watching it. This show is really a master piece IMO
Two months later, I still love this interview! It unpacked so many uncomfortable but necessary topics represented in Queen Charlotte. Each and every one of the panelists were amazing. Love India, Arsema, Golda, Shonda, Tom Veirca ... The interviewer is also wonderful.

I love the authority in her Voice when she said "They can't talk about that" like Girl, You are the Queen!!!! I love all their outfit! Shonda's outfit the gown she's like mirroring the bridgerton/queencharlotte outfit and the jacket is kind her way of representing the modern clothes.
What a wonderful interview! Sheinelle was so lovely, her energy put the panelists at ease and the kept the audience engaged. Arsema, India, and Corey are so thoughtful and eloquent. Golda is a rockstar. Tom, Betsy, and Shonda are just genius showrunners. This is by far my favorite interview in the whole press tour. Thanks!

escaping into amazing actors instead of getting stars to sell the show couldnt have been better for bridgerton. now all of them are stars that wouldve otherwise been lost and imagine what the show wouldve been without these amazing actors.
Amazing interviewer, asked the right questions. Balanced and proportioned the questions perfectly. She evoked what we wanted to know from the cast and took us perfectly into the world of the characters, writer, producer and director. I’ve seen many interviews of this cast and none like this. Amazing job. Thank you.
It's really beneficial to have the same director throughout a season. I think that's why fans say QC is arguably the best out the three Bridgerton stories so far.
@@nonsens58 most tv shows in general have different directors for each episode but I can definitely see how it would be beneficial to have one. And the director being an executive producer I would think would be beneficial as well

I love all of them but corey and india specifically have one of the best chemistry on and off screen ive ever seen. one of the favorite thing about QC (and bridgerton as well) is how much they pay attention to the meticulous details and what they do and why its there. theres a purpose to everything and I just love that so much. thanks so much for putting such a great pannel and interview.

But your older now! So do not fall into that continued change stuff becaue you might just do a 360 instead of a 180 degree turn to find who you really were meant to be!- to the young 21 year old Charlotte actor! Peace and blessings...
I would wager that they wanted the focus to the on the actors introduced in Queen Charlotte. Golda is there because she is Charlotte. Can't pay for lodging, etc. for everybody.
@@melsaint8616 What part was difficult?clearly they are focusing on the new actord and did not want to pay to have everyone who was on the show flown over for the u s press junket with those expenses. Besides that woman was in a play and had other responsibilities. She was not an actor introduced in this series. It makes sense they want them to have the spotlight.
I LOVE this series best of all and have watched it multiple times. This interview was a love fest, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would like to have heard not only praise but also look at the series critically. I would like to ask Shonda why the two most influential, dark-skinned male, aristocratic, wealthy men are portrayed as negative stereo types. The Duke's father was abusive, dismissive, scary & mean. Lord Danbury was reminiscent of Black Face and was made up to be blacker than he is in real life in the Vaudville tradition of portraying black characters in clown like cartoonish ways. I learned so much from this interview but a full 360° degree deep dive would have been even more beneficial.
Yes I have posted this myself in various places because like you I think you can enjoy the series but have this question especially in this series. In such an otherwise intelligent and emotionally relevant portrayal of other characters there was no reason to have this one look like a buffoon. It was very distracting because everything else was well done. I personally also think the hair gets way too outrageous to where it also becomes almost comical.
@Beatrice2 2 On my second viewing, Lord D's makeup in scenes when he was most idiotic and abusive, was reminiscent of Blackface in the Vaudeville style in which even Black performers were forced to put black shoe polish on their skin and have bright red lips and wild & wooly hair ( Lord D. had a very red tongue and the whole nasty bit of him slurping out his dentures after assaulting his wife added to that portrayal) to make their characters clowns laughable for the audience. It was demeaning and humiliating to Black people in general and to the individual performers. Even Lady D's makeup at the opera and a Danbury nanny in a short scene also had a makeup mishaps. Even in Scandal, Washington's character, when being portrayed as a professional, had bone straight hair. Being herself on vacation as an adultress, she was portrayed with natural hair. There are more examples of perpetuating Black negative stereotypes that would be bad enough when white producers are telling the story, but Shondaland doing so is inexcusable. I'm a retired opera singer and would object when hair and makeup were humiliating. In fact, I insisted on doing my own makeup and was involved in decisions for my characters' appearance on stage. I am baffled and am frankly disappointed about an otherwise is a stellar production.
Honestly, I loved the show but I have a real problem with how Shonda generally portrays blk ppl who are darker than a brown paper bag. She seems to have a real problem leading them the same grace and happy endings that their lighter skinned counterparts receive. The men are abusive - hearing her gush about Agatha's love for Lord Danbury "as a blk man" made me want to punch something. As for the women, Lady Danbury goes from abused wife who must protect her husband to protect herself, to mistress (she seems to love this role for blk woman - looking at you Scandal) to prickly old widow. There is little room in Agatha's story for gentleness or reciprocated love and even her "happy ending" is munted by loneliness. As I said, I love the show but I wish that the dark skinned characters had the same access to stunningly happy and romantic endings
@TGC22 I agree with you completely. In this interview, Shonda called Lord D. a "jerk." She made him out to be far worse than a jerk (like the Duke's father portrayed as an evil, heartless, abusive, mean man with no redeeming qualities). Clearly, these are Shonda"s fantasies for dark skinned characters, however, she is dangerously perpetuating negative stereotypes, and when a Black person hates on other Black people, racists are happy campers and feel absolved to do the same without remorse. Shonda, in the meantime, is being hailed for being inclusive and "color blind."
@TGC22 I don't watch Shonda shows like that and in fact this is the 1st Bridgerton show that I have watched but I agree with you about the happy ending. Even saying that these are fictional not real, then why is it that's a black female lead is the one getting the nontraditional happy ending where she is essentially about to be a caregiver? Why not focus more on the times when lucid and they did have some happiness 😂 As a story it did make me feel and I did appreciate the mental health aspects and other things but the only episode of the original Bridgerton I saw was one with the dark skinned black man being mean and cruel. So after seeing this I was like what???j
This one is definitely on a bigger scale and stage. They are at Paley Center so it is a more prestigious event, with paying patrons but you do see them bantering and being real but with more work-face-on vibes🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
43:50 is this out of love, tho? :/ or is this sentiment just reinforcing that your natural hair and natural beauty are not enough? is the message not that you’re not “presentable” and you’re not fitting within eurocentric beauty standards? it’s subtly and overtly telling you to feel shame and to be embarrassed about the way your hair naturally grows out of your head. i wouldn’t call that love. :(
We now realize how problematic that concept was, but at the time, they thought they were helping us fit into a world that refused to acknowledge our natural beauty.
Back them it would definitely have been said with good intention but only because mainstream society’s perception of acceptable/presentable was very eurocentric which made people of other races feel like they had to adapt and change themselves to fit into that box for the common narrative☹️
they WON with this casting

@TGC22 I don't watch Shonda shows
like that and in fact this is the 1st Bridgerton show that I have watched but I agree with you about the happy ending.
First interview where I see that corey & India aren't banter each other
On a smaller scale they are
Watch it again. There was banter 😂
@@barbaraquarshie1885 lol I saw it later 😂😂😂 it was like two I think. But yeah. They were at the end 😂
That’s big this is a big interview so you can tell they’re nervous 😭😭
This one is definitely on a bigger scale and stage. They are at Paley Center so it is a more prestigious event, with paying patrons but you do see them bantering and being real but with more work-face-on vibes🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Funny to see Annelies husband 😂
Please Netflix! I want season 2! I am obsessed wit the characters
Need a better screen capture! I was looking for this interview!
Meghan is figuring out just how difficult it is to marry into royalty. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Can you also upload other panels, please? The fandoms of Yellowjackets and Yellowstone including me are still waiting for their panels
The director looks like another Skarsgard brother.
Took me a moment to realize he's the actor from How to get away with Murder. Viola's husband
@@gemelwalters2942 Wow really? Shondaland multiverse lol
Where is Julia Quinn…..no Bridgerton without her. Fabulous series but wonderful books.
Wonder what other cannot rules Shonda has for the cast besides no disclosure of fun bts…

Todos usavam perucas ,naquele tempo
Back them it would definitely have been said with good intention but only because mainstream society’s perception of acceptable/presentable was very eurocentric which made people of other races feel like they had to adapt and change themselves to fit into that box for the common narrative☹️
