I believe Shondaland is the first movie production to really invite us behind the scenes at such an extreme in-depth pace that it just attracts us even more. India is such a beautiful character.
I love how they are showing the proper steps to protect our hair. This can lead to a certification process for people who do textured hair on set.
I’ve never seen it done for a show but Peter Jackson did this really well for LOTR.
Also Game of Thrones… just at the end of the whole show.
I just wished she had a black hair stylist though.
What do you mean ? Most films do this … it’s called behind the scenes .. it’s on most movie dvds lol This isn’t anything new .
I love that they do take care of India's hair!
Yes, the everyday look and even the brushed out bedroom look could be achieved with her own hair, but it would be damaging to manipulate her own hair for filming. I love how much effort they take to ensure her own hair doesn't suffer.
Yes❤
A lot of black women were complaining on another video because of the hairline. I think it looks dreadful too. And girl needs a few sessions at the laser hair removal because that neck beard. Laser hair removal really works especially on coarser hair fyi.
@@adlyndelamar8953 Not everyone loves manipulating themselves to fit other people's beauty standards. There's nothing wrong with the hair on her neck. If she had a problem with it I'm sure she would have removed it. Y'all always have to find some fault.
@lamoyadoeman you tell her sista. I, too, have her on my neck. I tried changing it years ago by shaving, and it looked odd. So I wear mine loud and proud.
India is as if "beauty and cute had a baby." I love her personality. What a kind soul.
She really is a phenomenal person. Pure, radiant light. ❤️❤️❤️
That’s TWO wigs (stacked)?! Wow!
That would hurt my neck and make me want to scratch my hair ngl.
LOVE that they care to protect her hair, YES GLAM TEAM!!!
all the care and attention made for this Black woman India on the set of the show is lovely too see - particularly when so many black actresses in Hollywood have had poor treatment with hair and makeup on sets ! Bravo
now i wish i could see more asians 😢
@@김수진-y7n5r no , because y'all get more reputation than us on social media
This is why we love this show!
I find this a racist comment as she is not a black woman, she is a half black woman. Editing out someone's whiteness is racist. I can tell just by looking at her that she had a full white parent. Mixed people shouldn't be forced to feel just like their darker race.
@@김수진-y7n5r….
The most beautiful! Miss India Amarteifio❤ The hair and makeup crew did sooo well
I love that Shondaland is also showcasing the people behind the scenes who helped to bring this production to life. Well done 👏👏
Makes me appreciate every single bit of queen Charlotte much more if that's possible. If im feeling low, on goes Queen Charlotte it just lifts my spirits. Thank you each and every one of you. Creators, producers, cast, and crew.
Please let there be a season 2. I know it's meant to be a limited series, but 😊
It’s my go to ‘feel good’ show too, but as much as I love it, I’m happy with just one season, I don’t want them to ruin it by giving us too much detail, just let our imagination fill in the blanks.
@melsaint8616 I understand where you're coming from. Don't fix what's not broken. Bow out when you have perfection. You could be right.
@@yvonnepearson1427 exactly!
It is so nice to see all the work that goes behind scenes. Makes me appreciate this show even more ❤️
The first time I saw India was in Gangster Granny in 2013. She still has that same sweet face, but look at her now! I love the way Corey reminds us that she has been working very well for a long time, but Queen Charlotte made her a household name. ❤❤❤
7:30 Evil works hard, but Ryan works ever harder. Thank you St. Wheeler. Plus, our Queen India looks absolutely breathtaking. ❤
Never disappoints 🤣
India always singing is so cute 😍🥺😍
Ryan you are being the most loved man ever for millions of people so Thank you for your work and kindness ❤❤❤❤😂
That make up was flawless!! Loved seeing this, I already has respect for India but this bumps it up even more seeing all those layers of wigs and adornments she had to wear and then the full costume. Much respect!
Phenomenal!! The cast and crew are all truly phenomenal, talented, amazing people. What a gift 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Shonda and her team are creating such a unique company
This makes me want to watch it again .
I love that there were considerations about her hair texture❤❤ I never see that on other shows and movies.
I love everything about Shondaland’s Queen Charlotte! The actors, the staff, the way they go about everything. There is so much passion in and behind the scenes. I’m so glad we get to see it all.
Not Corey saying "We are being filmed"
I wonder what he said to her?! 🤔🤭We need the unedited cut 😉🥰
I love her cheeky smile in that part😂😂
@@MemkohThey are adorable together. You can tell they loved each other's company on this set which really helped their chemistry
@@pinkparis absolutely! I miss them🥲 Time to rewatch QC for the third time!! Also I’m happy they are still friends.
Please Netflix gods. We need a season 2 of this amazing cast and crew!!
Brilliant video Ryan and Shondaland! And kudos to the hair and makeup team who did a great job but it would be great to see Black and Brown women on the team.
India, India, India! How can someone not be in awe of this young woman? Onscreen and offscreen she seems like the most wonderful person to be around with.🌟❤️
There are black and brown women on the team. Just not in this particular video or for India's make up/ hair. There are multiple videos with diverse women in the audio department, lighting department, PA, and so on. I didn't even notice that there weren't any for this particular India's shoot until it was mentioned. Race doesn't always have to be on the forefront. We are first people, humans before we are colored...
@@musicbytoffie I have watched the videos and saw Black and Brown people among the crew but as I am entitled to my own opinion I still wanted to see Black and Brown women in the makeup/hair team which is a valid concern as most of these shows, especially when they have Black and Brown as cast members, don’t do enough work on employing these demographics for their grooming teams. Settling with the bare minimum is not the way I think things should be done.
Also, if for you race doesn’t always have to be in the forefront it’s your opinion. For me race is always in the forefront of everything because we live in a systematically racist and discriminatory society.
Race isn’t everything. They clearly know how to do it correctly and that’s the most important thing
I totally agree, I didn’t know how to word it because they did do a great job, but idk it was still jarring to see two white women working on her hair. 😂 There’s a million black women out there that would have killed for that job. Idk
@@myswagobsession But anyone who works in hair and makeup should be able to do India's hair and makeup. If they don't already know, they need to learn. Black women shouldn't be stuck doing their own if there isn't a Black person on set. I think that is the point of showing them. It's important enough to prioritize learning how to do it properly regardless of your own background.
The more bts I watch the more In Love I fell 💜 ❤ India is so beautiful and sweet, I die every time I see her and Corey's interactions 💜 😭 ♥ 😢😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Girl it's not healthy I had to take a week off IG cause I kept checking their profiles for new content. I was slowly losing myself so you be careful too haha
I loved this role the most... She did beautifully, so strong and gorgeous!!🔥😘
I think she is beautiful! Natural beauty and I love when she speaks.
Loved every moment of this👏🏽 To be taken bts like this is a special treat😊 I have even more admiration for India and the beauty team after seeing this. What they do is absolutely amazing!
Its amazing what people hair/makeup and crew do to bring our characters/actors to such splendor...movies are so wonderful❤
Loved watching India getting ready. Interesting and insightful process. Very detailed work 👌 And the kiss scene in the end ahh 😘
India❤❤❤! What a transformation. Kudos to the hair and makeup team!
Loved everything about queen Charlotte
India is amazing! We are in awe of her in my part of the world! ❤
Love this Inida Amarteifio. Well done India!
What a wonderful BTS. Thanks so much!
Love the stylist’s Yorkshire/Mancunian dialect.
In Ryan we trust 😅❤
shes so pretty i cant😭🤍🤍 i love the effort they put into protecting her hair!! go shondaland!
Great team spirit is portrayed here.❤
thank u ryan 🥹
That was really cool to see! Thanks!
The way I just choke on my lunch because of the kiss at the end. I was like wait they just kissing like that but I forgot about the last kissing scene between them at the ball 😂😂🥴my dumb ass 🤦🏾♀️ I love all the BTS content 🫶🏾
That wasn't in the show. When he kissed her at the ball, everyone was standing still around them because they just finished dancing. That "high five" was more like a Praise the Lord testimony after a good sermon. 😂😍❤️
@@AnaisKarimyou are right, I knew this wasn’t the final kiss they had in the show! Maybe this was a kiss they cut out?
Absolutely love this video.. its amazing to learn how much effort was put on the make up and dress to create the Queen Charlotte, the perfect queen. Thank you all for your hardwork!
I’m doing a Queen Charlotte costume for Halloween so this is the video I need to watch!
I love you India. You are beautiful!🥰
OMG! Shondaland has actually blown me away. This is amazing footage and it was so much fun and exciting to watch!
Thoroughly enjoying ALL of these !! Thank u Ryan !
Omg.. I love her 😩
I love this!!! Ok ok I'll watch the show again for the 25th time
When I saw the eco styler...i knew it was legit
The everyday Charlotte wig that she wears in the non-ball scenes is pretty good because it looks like it could genuinely be India's hair with the texture (same as my mum's).
This is beautiful...JUST BEAUTIFUL
Just amazing.
I need to know are y’all gonna put replicas of her head pieces on sale?
Awesome! 🎉
I wish we could have seen some black and brown makeup and hair technicians for India...
I feel that the understanding of black and brown hair would be more appreciated.
I think it's important for all backgrounds to know how to deal with textured hair and melanin rich makeup on set. It should be something that anyone who works in this field can do.
@@AnaisKarim you keep saying this, stop it. This is the second comment I’ve seen of you shutting down an important conversation with your ignorant comment, a very white thing to do. It is important for Black women to be heavily represented in hair and makeup as I bet most of these skills of styling a Black person’s hair is learned from Black women. And why don’t you give that same energy and say that people of diverse backgrounds should be recruited into hair and makeup, huh? You want to see white hardressers on set doing Black hair because they can learn so why can’t the original poster want to see a Black person who already knows how to work these hairstyles, and with much more proficiency and competence?!!
I agree wholeheartedly with you both! I would like to see more people of color doing hair behind the scenes, but I also think a true hairdresser should understand how to do all hair types. Unfortunately, most people only know how to do certain hair types really well and it shows!
@@tdr.220 that’s true but if you think about it, they never ever give Black people a chance even from that lens i.e. a Black person should be able to do any type of hair/makeup so let’s hire more of them on scene. We don’t see that. That’s why we get frustrated when the one chance we could have to see people that look like us doing hair and makeup for characters that look like us, the opportunity is STILL not given.
So it lends credence to the initial argument. Is it only white makeup and hair artists that should be given a chance to learn how to work with diverse skin/hair types while others don’t even get a chance with either? And like the person I responded to earlier, I bet he/she has never commented to say oh why wasn’t a Black person hired to do white hair, anyone should be able to learn. They never make such an argument in our defense.
I love the makeup artist. The way she talks and explains everything is so soothing. I would love to work with a woman like that
I'm a makeup artist in film and tv and this is exactly what I love to see on these big productions is that not matter how extravagant, being a mua on set is the same-- LOVE IT!
INDIA IS A TRUE BEAUTY.
India, I thought that wig was your real hair
I hope they have more episodes and seasons coming soon
India is wonderful
Admiro como encontraron a la actriz más parecida físicamente, la mejor y muy bella! Excelente actriz versión joven, no podía ser menos con semejante actriz versión madura ❤ hermosa las dos!
Wow, so much work and effort out into 1 scene/event
Indiaaaaa 😆😍🥰
Mr. Ryan Wheeler does it again! 👏👏👏
My queen so gorgeous 🥹
They ate that wig application
What are you using to clean your brushes in time??? I love the whole look thank you
Her wigs are just 😍😍😍😍😍waouh
Through the eyes of diversity I am so PROUD of the make up and hair team in this video
We need a season 2 please❤️
I'm obsessed, I promise you there needs to be a "QUEEN CHARLOTTE" Rehab Center! ATP A "SHONDALAND" REHAB CENTER! ♥♥
Bener kata arsema, India selalu menyanyi kapan pun dan di mana pun 😂
Beautiful ty for sharing ❤❤❤❤
She's so beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Achei que só eu tinha gostado dessa série e vim conferir 😅
Amazing... absolutely.
I really would like Queen Charlotte go on, as there is so much one would like to know.
For example : How became Agatha a real Lady with such
a standing and position at the ton?
Or what happened to Charlotte and Agatha to become such friends?
i loveeeed💖👑👑👑
Her acting skills are🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful Chocolate colors not too light or too dark for her skin tone
Why didn’t I think of that for my lacefronts 😂I’m gonna use a little paintbrush too that way the glue goes on evenly and easily this was one of my favorite looks for her too btw ❤
Shondalanddddd🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
😍😍😍
SHE SOOOO CUTE
look at them taking care of black womens hair properly ❤
I am so glad to see India and the get behind the scenes to the transformation. Too bad there’s not much other representation on site.
Beautiful work though.
❤❤❤❤❤
"Ugh.. bye ryan " 🤣🤣
What hair glue is that???.
I actually want to know if queens of regency period had that much of big big Hair on their head, like they are doing here
She reminds me of Blue Ivy.
oh my god, wow.
Black woman's hair is another beauty world on it's own, u know.
I'm a chinese woman and my straight black hair starting to look boring 😂😂😂
Heavy is the head that wears the crown!!!
2 weeks from now. Every black girl on tick tock is going to have a airbrush makeup gun. Thank you shonda for giving us undetectable lace
I don't understand how she never had edges 🤷♀️ missed opportunity.
Why a second wig atop a first wig, rather than just one bigger wig combining the volume of both?
Stacking wigs is common.
@@erinjohnson1124 but *why* not just one big wig?
Ghanaian girl 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭 I’m just finding out her name
So you guys couldn’t find a black Makeup Artist or a black hairdresser?

Must of been heavy to wear.
