I bought this recently because i got it at a cheap price. I replaced the HD with an SSD. dam this thing is fast. With every click all my windows app pops up instantly. Excellent performance , In a tiny package. I am so impressed by this thing.
I have gotten a second hand Optiplex slim client, but a 7050. It has a better spec than yours, well the i7 is 6th generation, and... yeah, really loving it. You want to get one with a hard drive, because then you get the bracket. Should be the same as mine, which can have an NvMe SSD in it, and a 2.5 inch drive. You can plug an HDH without the bracket, but it is hardly the most secure option. But you can have two drives inside, which is useful. Increases storage without increasing clutter. These machines are great for mid level gaming. Been testing mine out with Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines, and it is amazingly fast and smooth.
I have the 7070 in same form factor.. I want to know if it's possible to add a wifi antenna on it. The wifi card I have installed on it is very week.. Is there a specific size coaxial antenna I need to buy?
Thank you, I was looking at this on Amazon and there is no image of the plugs for the display output, so I wasn't sure what to do about cables. Awesome.
HEY I bought a 7080 Optiplex. But their is Only one Headphone Jack. And When i put the Headphone in It only works as a Microphone or as a Speaker. Kindly help
This is all we use at work. I want to get one to run emulators but the model numbering scheme is all over the place, it's hard to find out which models to look for (need an i5/i7 and an ok GPU)
This thing has the same exact specs as a Toshiba from 2010. It also seems similar in size to the motherboard in it. If they're making it from recycled laptops, that's really cool. I'd love that form factor for my replacement to that 2010 laptop (I use it for a small server) but it isn't worth 400 bucks to me.
@@BigCVlogs my wife just got the 3080 and we are trying to run two monitors. One HDMI to the left side monitor and the D cable to the right. Great review thanks, I usually open more than 15 tabs on google chrome most of them youtube, also multiple spreadsheets and other Microsoft office programs. Do you suggest any desktop or laptop that can handle this?
Hello Joseph, your going to want a desktop or laptop with a good amount of memory and an SSD. See if the store called Micro Center is close to you. If so you could likely find a laptop or desktop with 8 to 16 gigs of RAM and an SSD for $600 or so. You may even be able to find one for $500, but the more memory in the SSD would allow you to keep those windows open without the computer slowing down. As for desktop or laptop. That's kinda your choice. You will get more power for the same price with a desktop. The laptop is more expensive due to the screen.
I'd suggest switching to Firefox. For a while, FF was the clear choice over IE until Chrome came along. Chrome was great for a while as Firefox got heavier and slower. But then Chrome became more and more bogged down. The newer versions of Firefox (Quantum)..... I don't know what they did but it's outstanding. It really is. So much faster than Firefox was. My only real gripe (and this is small enough) is that I prefer the way Chrome sorts browsing history by last accessed (rather than FF's days) and pulls from all devices I am signed in to (and the way it syncs in general across devices, actually). Firefox's sync is not quite as well integrated
I would say go directly to Dell but that could cost you $100+. I'd check Amazon first. That's normally were I buy them to avoid paying name brand prices.
Great review, i'm going to buy the i5-7500T version with 500 gb hdd (7200rpm) and maybe later on install a SSD drive. Btw, do you get a windows 10 disk? Or is it allready preinstalled? I'm going to use it for primarily netflix, movies home theatre purpose.
Hello, Windows 10 is Preinstalled. The SSD would make the OS and boot times faster but for Netfolix the HDD would be fine. What home theatre software are you using? I use Plex. It's amazing! I have a whole server setup with 4TB of movies.
Mine has all the same ports plus extras like a c charger to c charger cords so ehh is it a micro PC anyone that knows cause I ant owned a PC in over ten years il send pics please help ?
You can add wifi to this: Look into the intel wifi 7260 card. You want the one with a center center top screw mount and not the card that has two screw (one in each corner)
Hate to say it but I doubt it. It has Intel graphics, I don't think it's strong enough for GTA even on low settings. You could try it though. Won't hurt anything.
It only has Intel graphics but Minecraft does not need much power. While I don't wanna give you incorrect information, I'm fairly certain this would play Minecraft.

It's adorable. And possibly practical.
i want one just for web browsing, movies and other basic tasks so i don't always have to have my gaming rig on all the time.
how to get a 2.5 GB network on it? Does the expansion slot have a 2.5 GB network adapter option? ty

It should have vga or display port. You may need to get an adapter if your monitor/tv is only HDMI.

Can you hook up dual monitors if so how
Yes, either with display port and HDMI or HDMI and VGA. Depending on what your model has. This one has display port and HDMI.
pretty pretty
Are you able to run dual monitors natively or do you need one of those special adapters from Startech.
It can run natively, one HDMIand display port.

Yes, the one big screw on the back should unscrew but not come completely out and then you can slide the top off.
