Hi, i tried all the way you suggested and i can not get "adb devices" to show my phone. Only way "adb devices" shows the phone is when i restart in recovery mode and chose "apply update from ADB". When i run the "adb devices" on recovery i see it. After if i run "adb shell" or any other command i get a "error: closed" . Do you know what is the solution? Dude - Device is connected, but one of the below ADB is not enabled. ADB driver on PC is not installed/not up to date ADB exe on PC is not installed/not up to date if you are not able to get into the Phone, but if you have custom rom, may be you can get into recovery and see if you could get adb devices.

This solution is for real device, but i am looking for emulator, - it so happens at time that if I start 2 emulators say on in port 5558 and other in port 5559, and when I run command adb devices, it shows only one device emulator-5558, though emulator at port 5559 is open and i can see it, adb does not recognise it.How to resolve this?
@@brainerstech Yes it works, but if i constantly rerun my tests, at times even though the emulator-5559 is opened via script - though i see emulator with port 5559, adb devices is not able to list it.in appium logs i found this error: could not connect to TCP port 5559: Connection refused. It is not only related to this port also the default port 5554 it happens the same.

Hi guys, I am kind of desperate. After more than 7 hours of trying I have tried all of your 10 solutions (most of them many times - different cables, drivers - in normal and also in fastboot mode, platform tools, both phone and pc restarted many times etc.). Nothing works... phone always answers "adb devices" but after getting into fastboot mode it never answers "fastboot devices" command; so my attempted flash boots are obviously also unsuccessful. Samsung Galaxy A40 (Android 11); Dell (Win Home 10). Any chance there is 11th solution waiting for me? :)
Brother..in normal mode, revoke adb devices and restart reconnect such a way that you get prompt agin on your phone, ENSURE TO CHECK THE TICK MARK to always allow or remember this device. Then try now in fastboot.
@@brainerstech ok, I have tried twice (once from cmd, second time from admin run powershell... and disabled usb debugging and revoked authorizations both times) ; screen of mobile shows Downloading do not turn off target... powershell cmd command "fastboot device" returns < waiting for any device >... so I am stuck again. What I've read is Samsung doesn't work with fastboot. You can use a program called Odin. I was having the same problem, adb worked then when in download mode fastboot didn't work. I have Galaxy Tab A8

Brother, pls issue adb command only from the folder where you have adb exe. you can use - cd "folder path where you have adb exe" You can also try other steps told in this video such as kill and restart adb server, and also adding path variable. please watch the video fully you can get it work. No, that is not possible because of android's inbuilt security. But there are some complex flashing methods that can help wiping the whole data and getting your phone back (you will loose data), as long as it is in good hardware condition.

Brother, Pls try different pc, mobile and cable combination to narrow down the issue. Still does not work, mostly it is hardware limitation which we can not fix, such as CABLE MANUFACTURED ONLY FOR CHARGING, not for data transfer.

@@brainerstech ok, I have tried twice (once from cmd, second time from admin run powershell... and disabled usb debugging and revoked authorizations both times) ; screen of mobile shows Downloading do not turn off target... powershell cmd command "fastboot device" returns < waiting for any device >... so I am stuck again. (thank you anyway for advice)
What I've read is Samsung doesn't work with fastboot. You can use a program called Odin. I was having the same problem, adb worked then when in download mode fastboot didn't work. I have Galaxy Tab A8

@@brainerstech thanks for your prompt replied, FYI of my phone current condition which is my phone lockscreen is locked and I forgot the password so I only tried to use ADB to access into my phone. So if in this case, revoke & restart still able to solve this issue? Here is the code that showed on my cmd:
C:\Users\users>adb shell

* daemon started successfully
adb.exe: no devices/emulators found
Go to Developer options>"Select USB Configuration">and select "MIDI device. Your computer will re-recognize your phone and you should be set....

Brother, pls issue adb command only from the folder where you have adb exe. you can use - cd "folder path where you have adb exe"
You can also try other steps told in this video such as kill and restart adb server, and also adding path variable. please watch the video fully you can get it work.

No, that is not possible because of android's inbuilt security.
But there are some complex flashing methods that can help wiping the whole data and getting your phone back (you will loose data), as long as it is in good hardware condition.
chapter 9 says that there is no such command please help

Still does not work, mostly it is hardware limitation which we can not fix, such as CABLE MANUFACTURED ONLY FOR CHARGING, not for data transfer.
