Every beat of this duet, sensational. This is Liza at immaculate best. Playing fabulously off of a fabulous Clarence, she keeps herself focused and completely in control of every moment, every note. Thrilling.. And she looks fantastic. This is the "Results" hair and Kevyn Aucoin makeup. It's a video like this that makes youtube a treasure chest.
You are totally right. This is the best era for Liza. I saw her in concert in 1991 here in Chicago, and I wasn't a fan before I went to the show (my bf at the time bought us tickets), but, Damn, I left that show a lifetime fan.
I love Liza Minnelli. And Clarence on sax couldn't get any better. What a brilliant musical collaboration. I am also a big fan of her mother Judy Garland. To me Liza is one of the greatest entertainers of my generation. She could do it all. Sing, dance, act and perform like none other and with a personality that you couldn't help but fall in love with. For those of you who just don't get it, it's okay, because I'll gladly take what you don't get. I could never get too much of Liza and I still can't. I watch at least one of her videos almost every day. And we have RUclips to thank for these wonderful trips down memory lane. And to wonderful people like you LizaFan, who posts and shares these gems with all of us. Thank you so much. Subscribed!
Its August 2024 n I'm a young 77 + have followed Liza's career since the 60's but this song still mesmerises me to this day w her incredible unsurpassed passion power n emotion not to mention her Broadway plays, concerts, movies TV specials et al ALL of which are a testament to a truly unique human being and ONE OF A KIND ARTIST + just after getting married I saw Frank in concert in Kansas City 1974 and so wish you could a been there, Liza if you are listening haha. Thank you for the Memories
I mean... holy buckets! When she's on... and on stage... and singing... {especially Kander and Ebb} she IS a master class on: •how to sing live. •how to sing a musical theatre song live. •how to engage, entertain and thrill every single member of an audience. •how to give everything you've got. •how to make it seem effortless and as if it's unrehearsed. •what an entertainer is capable of. • and do all of the above with joy, gratitude and humility. She is simply the bar to which all others in the business we call show are measured. Viva la Liza! 💓•♡•💓
Sad to say I had never seen this. I am a huge fan but somehow this escaped me. I will watch it every day forever now. It brought tears to my eyes and I just couldn't keep still towards the end. She was at the top of her game and she looked great too. Clarence was magnificent as usual too.
I had the same thought. It’s an amazing performance, but many in the audience seemed not interested or impressed. Maybe it was too ‘old school’ for them? Too uncool? Such a strange response for such an astounding performance.
I have had "straight friends" say to me, "I just don't get what's so great about Judy Garland and Liza Minneli?" I just respond with, "You poor, unfortunate heterosexual, you aren't meant too and never will. But that's ok, you were born that way, its not a choice!!!" 😅😅😅

AMEN!💗
Yes she was hitting her stride here
One of my favorite recorded performances of hers, ever.
Liza connected to every phrase... every note...the Queen of interpretation!
We just don't get as many really, amazing live performances, as we once did. Just thrilling.
This is another thrilling performance by Liza!

Her best performance of this song, and one of her best performances ever.
I can never just watch this performance once. Mesmerizing
Absolute master class ❤
Liza looks great and it's a terrific performance. Alas, her vibrato had already begun to go wobbly.
the way she reacts to him playing the final notes on the sax...
Brilliant version of the world goes round
Fabulous. Impeccable musicianship. Go Clarence and Liza.
A true performer
Both of them spreading joy
Important to also note that the legendary Herbie Hancock introduces them and accompanies on piano.
Sensational
Breathtaking
WOW!!!!!!!!!
She's a queen
Love when she breaks her voice on that crescendo “arOUND AND YA KNOOowww
Fantastic!!!!!
Was the audience aware they watched liza at her best? This was a great performance by the greatest female entertainer.
So true! Her peak imo

I'm a heterosexual and I love her!! Saw her in person once, about 30 years ago.
Chills
Love Liza
Tepid audience reaction. Deserved a standing O! Outstanding!
liza真漂亮!这个时期的造型我好喜欢!
Her voice is like syrup, so exquisite, and, of course, Mr. Clemons is a peerless master.
Couldn't agree more! Such a fine description.
Sempre amei seu carisma e talento.saude rainha schow.......bisn......
Nice G5 there Liza!
Did Liza just wake up?
She has a cold
