Hi. Currently i'm using 4 JBL EON 500 outdoor speakers and a SAMSON AURO D1200 subwoofer. I bought these outdoor WIRED spkrs/subwoofer (with xlr cables) 2+ yrs ago, on a bad timing. What I meant is: nowadays, bluetooth/wireless getting more common. However, can the "JBL Boombox" replace what i have currently by volume/sound quality? If so, how many of these "JBL Boombox" do i need? Can I use multiple (5 or 7 - front left, front right, center, rear left, rear right, ....... and so on) of these "JBL Boombox" from a (bluetooth) receiver/mixer? Is there any link where they show using multiple (more than two) of these "JBL Boombox" at once. Thanks for your great help.
Charge 3: good bass, muddy mids, non-existent highs Xtreme: Good (but not deep) bass, okay mids, good highs if the speaker is not playing at maximum Boombox: good bass in indoor-mode, highs too harsh, mids? what are those? Conclusion: Although the Xtreme is the oldest one, it still got the best overall sound (not regarding loudness). Still I would aim for something different like the Vifa Oslo, the Harman/Kardon Go&Play or the Bose Soundlink revolve+
N V the Xtreme definitely is the worst of them. The tuning of the Xtreme is totally off. Mids are ok but the treble is much to harsh due to the treble boost at 5khz and the bass is pushed way to far at around 76hz.
The fact that the Xtreme is so far out of date but still sounds better than most speakers in its price range is very telling. Especially since the Xtreme 2 is coming later this year. I expect it to be even better in every category. I can't wait till June when it's supposed to come out. I'm going to get it day 1.
They should make a JBL Xtreme 2. The original sounds great but it has way to many issues. It breaks easily and has Bluetooth connection issues. The battery is also garbage

What I discovered is American Audio has these little bigger size 18 lb / 12 volt rechargeable ELS BT8 speakers. They don't work under water or strap to walk around or last 15 hours like JBL states but they do operate on wireless bluetooth and AT 100 db. YES, 100 db and at $175 a speaker. The controls onthe back have a MINI Mixer, SD Card port, cross jack port for additional speaker attachment, jack ports for anything you can think of to connect, bluetooth LED lit display which these JBLs lack. My suggestion for people is this ... know what you are using your speakers for. I bought a pair of FLIP 4's for one purpose of just moving them around the house but they don't work as a good portable device for a LIVE performance. Things changed and so did my purchase decisions. I needed portable speakers that were going to at least boast 80 db of sound, with tons of options of use, Affordably. American Audio ELS BT8's did 100 db @ $175 ... I can hear the sound all the way down the street at half the volume. There is more bang for the buck if you do your homework and know what you are using your speakers for.
By holding down the Bluetooth pairing button and volume down button simultaneously for about eight seconds, you can disable JBL's factory eq settings and use your own eq- I do it with my Xtreme and Charge 3- works wonders! (Just don't completely max out the volume in this mode)
I was wondering, does anybody know if there will be a Boombox 2 and Xtreme 3 in the near future? And if so, will these also be equipped with a mono racetrack driver? Like the Flip 5, and Charge 4 turning from stereo to mono speakers.
I just bought the sony xb31 recently and I love the crap out of it but I’m starting to get into collecting speakers I think and I’m wondering if I should get the xtreme next or the xb41?Which one do you get more bang for your buck or should I get the new xtreme 2

yeah but they must a new version of older smaller speakers. Xtreme is pretty old so probably we'll get it in January. Also they are a lot of discounts on it so we can realise that they want to just sell the older one and come with newer :)
You definitely need a real audio recording mic to really get that sound quality and full frequency response when doing your sound test. How long did it take your boombox to arrive.
I'd rather spend an extra $100 on the Diamondboxx Model M, which is miles above any mass produced speaker of it's size category in both sound and build quality. Do your research first people. Boutique companies don't usually invest in any advertising.
I remember looking at this model and the Model M years back. I intended to get both, but just have JBL now in 2021. Here's the thing. You can merge other JBL speakers and they're much more versatile being rugged as well as waterproof. That Diamnondboxx for as good as it is likely stays at home or it risks irreversible damage.
+No Huevos the yeti is in stereo mode so all directions should be recording. At least that is what I've been told. Cardioid mode is when the front of the yeti records from the front only
That's true, it does have that option. I could be wrong but wouldn't make more sense to use the Cardioid mode so that you're just recording the speaker and not the rest of the room? Also, the red light is flashing on the mic which means it's muted? I'm not sure what you're doing there.

I got 1 the other day.. its not bad.. i check the reviews... up dates for the boom box is not the best thing to do.. a lot of problems with updates
