The charge 4 xtreme 1 and 2 are not nearly as much of an upgrade over the charge 3 to justify the way more cost... I have/have had them all and the charge 3 and boom box are honestly the only 2 ways to go!
I remember watching this vid back in 2017 and right away going and buying it from Best Buy. Just sold it last week for $30 more than I bought it for in 2017, over 4 years later. With that money I went and bought the Sony SRS XP 700 Bluetooth speaker, best decision of my life. It's the dream tailgating speaker for anyone even remotely into tailgating.
I've had one of these for a couple of weeks now and I highly recommend it. The overall quality is fantastic and it sounds awesome. It's totally worth the investment.

My boombox just arrived last weekend and i am in love with this thing, the bass is super deep with no distortion what so Ever and the sound is super clean and some say its "too" treble heavy. If ur looking for a great portable speaker, go for this beast.

The "original" boombox has become something of a relic lately. I have been wanting to get my hands on one for at least the last 6 weeks, and they are extremely hard to come-by for anything under $550, let alone $400. Ebay has a few, but all the owners that are selling them, want an outrageous amount for units that looked like they've been through hell and back. My guess is, the boombox 2 isn't selling very well ( and I don't blame the folks who are already invested in connect + vs the newer "party boost" ). I have to many JBL speakers to upgrade, so I want to stay in the connect+ ecosystem, but wow, is the Boombox 1 hard to get! The extreme 2 is still going strong on sales, so why are the original boombox's do hard to purchase? Heck, it wasn't 4 months back that the original boombox was on sale for something like $300, and now you cant find it anywhere for under $500 ( if you can find one brand new ( not refurbished ). I hope this is just part of the supply chain issue and they will be back in stock sometime thru December.
you shouldn’t play them at max volume, the transient of the bass wave will mess with the harmonics if it doesnt have enough power to stop it all quickly
yeah and then it goes through the photosynthesis and comes out of the accoutrements, but before it does that it has to do acumen or else it will stop working.
Just a few tricks for the Boombox; 1. Just like many JBL speakers, the JBL Boombox also has the low frequency mode. If you don't know what that is, it basically increases the bass ALOT. Just hold down the bluetooth and volume down button for about 7-10 seconds. If the low frequency mode is activated you'll see feedback from the JBL Connect+ light, and the power button. 2. The JBL Boombox has an output of about 50 watts. When you charge your Boombox and turn it on, the speaker has a 10 watts higher output. (60 watts in total) Read this if you like, just thought I should spread the word.

Already had the jbl extreme. Played it until the speakers went out. Just got the bb for xmas. It's sound and bass is absolutely insane in the membrane. By far, best bt speaker I've ever owned. Wish i could compare them just to see how superior the bb is but really no need. Def worth every cent!!

Loudness with clear crisp sound and great conversation of sound is a much better buy. And I love loudness, but not with quality of crisp sound and flawless sound conversion.
Ive got the Boombox and a portable projector. I set up the projector on a big bedsheet and with boomboxin sount and its a portable theatre. Campin like a boss, neighboring sites getting jelly 😎
JBL bass what portable speaker system has a real subwoofer? I know they market woofers as subs, but they really aren’t. 50Hz is really low for something like this.

I started with the JBL extreme which sounds awesome. I recently purchased the Boombox. I have to agree with you Flossy. This baby knocks out my tunes right out of the park. Love it, love it, love it!! I also have the B&W zeppelin. The Boombox and the Zeppelin are close however the Zeppelin has no battery therefore not very portable. Thank you for your Gr8t videos.
I got a flip 5, had it a few months, no problems and great speaker for the price. Get it if you can. Hi flossy and all the other amazing peeps out there.
The one thing you notice between the jbl boombox and extreme is that the extreme is forcing the bass on the low end. The boom box has better sound consistency and the bass doesn't over power the other instruments playing unlike the extreme where the bass is so thick you can barely hear anything else

Humberto Cortes the boombox sounds better than the aiwa at normal volumes but the aiwa gets louder at max
