For those who say it doesn't sound like Axl Rose, watch him live in 1986. It's the same voice. Especially hearing him sing Don't Cry live at the Hollywood Central (which, by the way, has the exact same song structure of intro-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-solo-verse-chorus/outro) it's pretty obviously him. Even does the inhale scream "Ow!" thing. Also, 100% Izzy on the rhythm. Incredible find, and I'm so glad you did. Beautiful.
@@dickiemolitsanti2213 I was in GNR's top 0.001% of listeners in 2022. I have heard every one of their songs they've ever released, and quite a few that they haven't. I downloaded this song as a file and played it through my DAP. I still think it sounds like Axl, although I take back what I said about Izzy. The lyrical style matches pretty well, the placements of the "Ow!"s, the sustained face/nasal vocal runs... The one thing that keeps throwing me off is that the fire usually in Axl's voice sounds warmer and less harsh. But if you listen to the Sweet Child O' Mine demo, you can hear some of that, especially in the verses, so it could just be that Axl in this recording was feeling super raw and relatively mellow. Additionally, this recording is sung in what is for Axl a weird part of his vocal range, where he transitions from chest to nasal/face in other songs. And this singer makes that transition quite a bit. So this singer's natural vocal range is pretty much identical to Axl's. It also should be noted that this recording is pretty clearly completely unprocessed, whereas even the other demos are processed to some extent. So that'll also affect the sound. Besides, who else could it be? If this song were recorded by anyone else, they would've released it. It's a beautiful song. But knowing Axl's personal history, it's entirely understandable why this might be one that he just didn't want to get out there. Listen to the best Axl impressionists in the world today. None of them really sound at all like him, except for literally one guy, and he's not nearly as good at actually singing. And this is clearly recorded on older equipment, so it couldn't be him, anyway. In other words, if this is a fake, it's probably the greatest fake in the history of music.

Imagine being a roadie or band crew following these guys around in 86/87/88. .....who was the Geffen rep who saw these guys at in 86 in LA? Bagged them purposefully in front of multiple records reps, only to then run to David Geffen and said he's seen something bigger than Rolling Stones? Mid-1986 all the way through to 1990 before Adler was kicked out was incredible. I don't think anyone involved knew how big things would get. I had tickets to see them in 1993 @ Eastern Creek, Sydney Australia. My friends pulled out on me and i ended up selling the tickets. I'll never forget hearing AFD the first time. It was incredible.

You did a really good job with this. It must have been difficult to restore the audio, and I like how you put in pictures which just fit the song and it’s ups and downs-good job.
@@osheaemma Yes, yes it is. In fact, it is just about the most beautiful thing he ever wrote/sung. Extremely simple too, just voice and guitar. "I think you'd better take another look at yourself." Fantastic lyrics. I'm glad to see that there is someone else out there that appreciates the perfection of Closure. May it never be lost or forgotten; I wish so bad for it to come back on RUclips. Rock on and God bless.
I saw a discussion on the tape somewhere, a person in the discussion said that the tape should be taken to an archivist. I didn't see much elaboration on why, but maybe an archivist could help clean and preserve the tape from further degradation, digitise it again, and have it documented. If it's possibly an early undocumented part of Guns N Roses history, it could be notable enough for that, if you are able to afford the time and money to contact a professional archivist and want to do that.

This band's history is utterly fascinating....ive read all their bios and the crossover point between La guns and guns is roses is still unclear...seemed like 6-12month organic change as players joined and players dropped off....their backstory is fascinating....the feel of this song lends me to believe it was right before the original Guns line up finally formed ...this is a beautiful haunting song but it doesn't feel 100% original guns output
This must be a primitive version of Dont Cry. Chord's tonality, structure, general vibe and the end of the song match almost perfectly. Listen to the end very carefuly. Also Slash is using a 12 string acoustic, which he used on their first live performance of Dont Cry in 1985 (you can search for the video on RUclips). In Slash's book he mentioned one day coming to Izzy's apartment and heard him working on Don't Cry. They sat down and finished the song together. So its very likely that Slash recycled this untitled song's ideas and applied them to Don't Cry. Same thing happened with Jungle if you hear one of the other untitled songs
@gnr783 It was written but that doesbt mean it sounded like you know it nowadays. Slash mentioned in his book he one day came into Izzy's apartment and Izzy was working on Dont Cry. Sat with him and finished the song and then brought it to Axl
it's hard to tell because of the audio quality making it sound a bit wavy, but in the chorus, e.g. at 2:47, 4:56 do you people hear multiple las as in "sha-la-la-la-llow I could be someone", or just "sha-llow I could be someone"?
Izzy was the true songwriter behind it all more so than Axl anyway. He was probably the primary lyricist, even though they worked on a lot of songs together. I bet if Izzy was there, they’d have a decent amount of new music.
@@omardcastrod I've often thought the same thing. But then again, Izzy hasn't come up with any hits from the Ju Ju Hounds or his solo career. My guess is that these guys collectively had a lot of good stuff in them from their teen years etc. And it all came out in Appetite and the two UYI records.

On a very old audio cassette from the 80's...I found it more than 20 years ago in LA. Above there's only a writing almost illegible "LA Troub '85". Maybe in that days they recorded these pieces but not during the concert and this seems evident since you don't hear the crowd....anyway it's a live recording

This is a treasure..A beautiful treasure, definitely priceless.
Thank you so much for sharing! 🙏🏻
thanks man!!!!! this is a gem...
you should give a name for this song.
Defo Nazareth influence on this track…. Would love to hear this on an album
I didn't see them in Los Angeles in the 80’s but I had the privilege of seeing them in Modena July 1993...🎩🐍🌹❤️
@@atarumoroboshi75Ah sei italiano quindi?
Troubadour '85 o '87"
Wild! Thank you so much for uploading and sharing.
Jesus had this on repeat for and hour love it
Such a hauntingly beautiful song… I come back here often to escape everything. Offers such peace, the beauty of music! Has anyone figured out/ does anyone know the chords to this song? Would love to do a cover or play along with it
Replying to tag along on this
Their guitars are out of tune, but chords I figured out are:
Am Em F G for verse
C Em F G for chorus
In outro there's only F and G changing on every line.
oh Thanks so much! really appreciate it 😀

This is awesome.
You did a really good job with this. It must have been difficult to restore the audio, and I like how you put in pictures which just fit the song and it’s ups and downs-good job.
Yes it wasn’t easy...thanks my friend
Love it .Thanks for posting
My pleasure thanks
Gracias por desenterrar este tesoro 👏👏

Where has this been!!
Awesome. Never heard of it before
This is way better than Don't Cry imo
Simply beautiful
F*ck yeah! I'm 26 years old and listen to this, couldn't tell you who is in the charts these days.
19 years old here and I cant even name 10 modern artists
Damn never heard before.. a little work that could of been something special
Haunting is resonating with me
fabtastic song, it grows on you... classic Axl and songwriting. Also this one reveals the innocence in these guys, rarely seen in GNR songs
Yup. That's Axl.
No it’s not. It’s not him or GNR.

Bulk of more this ballad from Guns N'Roses
This song is happy yet haunting at the same time. Reminds me of a song called closure from Axl's RapidFire days.
Closure is a masterpiece
@@osheaemma Yes, yes it is. In fact, it is just about the most beautiful thing he ever wrote/sung. Extremely simple too, just voice and guitar. "I think you'd better take another look at yourself." Fantastic lyrics. I'm glad to see that there is someone else out there that appreciates the perfection of Closure. May it never be lost or forgotten; I wish so bad for it to come back on RUclips. Rock on and God bless.

Almost as beautiful a ballad as "Cornshucker."
At least Cornshucker is GNR. This is not.
@@jackylsmith8138 why is it not?
Bella ballata , canzone dolce, romantica e nostalgica.
Someone else posted what they heard from the lyrics, but there are a couple things I think I heard differently, so I'm just gonna put it here, too:
*Shallow*
You sit and cry, girl
I know the weight is gone
I told that I would fly, girl
But never learned to walk
You survived to fight it off
And killed myself
Please give me an anchor
To lie here under your arm
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
I could be someone, sha-la
I could be something, sha-la
For me little darling, so fa
Hide those tears coming down
Down
Now you are everything
That’s why I cling to you
Now you won’t ease the storm
Peddled to you
Try to find something ‘fore I die
Tell me just a little lie
I know you cry for a simple life
Baby, gimme one more try
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
I could be someone, sha-la
I could be something, sha-la
For me little darling, so far
Hide those tears coming down
Down
I can see here in your eyes
All the missed chances and surprises
I can see on the tip of your heart
The pain of your life
If I could understand
Your pain inside your woman mind
I try to face all the problems it brings (brang?)
So one more time, we gotta die
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
Sha-la, la la la la-low
I could be someone, sha-la
I could be something, sha-la
For me little darling, so far
Hide those tears
One more pain
Baby, ya comin?
I’ll keep comin
Baby, ya comin?
Someday comin
Every night comin
Please be comin
Whoa, I fell down

Maybe one of their first live recording early 80's isn'it...? Great song!!
This band's history is utterly fascinating....ive read all their bios and the crossover point between La guns and guns is roses is still unclear...seemed like 6-12month organic change as players joined and players dropped off....their backstory is fascinating....the feel of this song lends me to believe it was right before the original Guns line up finally formed
...this is a beautiful haunting song but it doesn't feel 100% original guns output
j aimerai l avoir sur un album studio 2022 , gros potentiel

Hey man, thanks for sharing!!!! this material was yours only?
Eh I don't know if I've got the exclusive 🤣...surely I've never heard it before
Oye de donde sacas todo este material
this is Axl.
Shalalalalow
Is it just me or does the intro kinda sound like don’t cry
Does someone has the guitar chords of this song? Thanks!
I wrote them in a comment that's somewhere on top
AWESOME😊😊😊
Yes it's so beautiful thanks
it's hard to tell because of the audio quality making it sound a bit wavy, but in the chorus, e.g. at 2:47, 4:56 do you people hear multiple las as in "sha-la-la-la-llow I could be someone", or just "sha-llow I could be someone"?
It's just shallow, the sound is wavy
Thats good cuz sha-la-la-la-low sounds stupid
Ufo influence. Sounds like Belladona.
Great song.
Also sounds like sha sha llow..
This is definitely Axl….. I wish they would put out new music something very much missed in my heart these days…. Love hearing new vocals from the Man
heard their newest song "hard skool" ?
it's almoooost a return to classic guns
Izzy was the true songwriter behind it all more so than Axl anyway. He was probably the primary lyricist, even though they worked on a lot of songs together. I bet if Izzy was there, they’d have a decent amount of new music.
@@omardcastrod I've often thought the same thing. But then again, Izzy hasn't come up with any hits from the Ju Ju Hounds or his solo career. My guess is that these guys collectively had a lot of good stuff in them from their teen years etc. And it all came out in Appetite and the two UYI records.

Hola. Podrias compartir la cancion sin la estatica por favor? Muchas gracias
Compartilo por favor!!!
Can someone tell me where that concert comes from or where I can find it?
I don't know exactly which concert is...should be a live recording at The Troubadour - West Hollywood summer 1985
This is Axl singing. Its obvious
Wow. Have you got anymore like this
There're other 3 song in the channel...
before 😭
Why the fuck don't they release this? and other great songs they have in their vault
Where did you get this? And what was it labeled
On a very old audio cassette from the 80's...I found it more than 20 years ago in LA. Above there's only a writing almost illegible "LA Troub '85". Maybe in that days they recorded these pieces but not during the concert and this seems evident since you don't hear the crowd....anyway it's a live recording
We should name it Shallow
It’s just you , it’s pretty like don’t cry but nothing like it at all!
