Please give this video a thumbs up & leave a comment for the youtube algorithm :), it really helps me, all these videos that I make are extremely time consuming.

The good thing about getting older is being able to have that teenager dream come true and play Doom in ultra nightmare

same fps as 3080 12gb . but 200w . nice . but I can 't exchange it without a big surcharge . the market of used video cards has collapsed I can't sell 3080 for more than 500 dollars . and also this gigantic dollar exchange rate in the country and the tax . and so I would be happy , the 3080 stove is terrible

I put my 3070 Ti on eBay starting from $300 and it sold for $510. Just few day after I got 4080 at launch.

so ultra nightmare textures even at 4k dlss off only require 10 GB of vram? but according to hardware unboxed this makes an 8GB card stutter and crash? who is telling the truth, who is lying?

the 4070 is 12gb. If it had 8gb it would have issues here at those settings, either crashes if the game has bad code or more likely the system ram would be used instead so the game would still run but with a hit to performance

@@astreakaito5625 see the thing is, 8GB cards are supposed to still run fairly ok even if vram is exceeded. benchmarks of any old 4k game from horizon zero dawn to cod warzone to farcry 6 prove this. All of them require more than 8GB vram at 4k however there are plenty of benchmark videos uploaded here where 8GB cards play those games at 4k, but dont run into all sorts of vram related problems like 2023 games do. Even though their vram was still exceeded in those games at that resolution.
However, recent videos have only focused on 2023 releases like tlou, hogwarts legacy or callisto protocol where people claim exceeding vram drops the fps down to 10 or causes blurry texture load issues, and while you can blame these new releases for being buggy, doom eternal is an older game and I remember hardware unboxed doing a video where they showed how a 3060 12GB could handle 4k ultra nightmare textures but a 3070 8GB couldnt, which is odd given my 1st paragraph so i posted my confusion.

Yeah I saw hardware unboxed video that made 8GB look like complete garbage. I don't remember having this many issues with my 3070 Ti. I have 4080 from the launch now tho..

Ultra settings = Get a 12-16GB of vram card.

I ran this game with a 1660 ti 6gb before and zero stuttering at max settings. Hardware unboxed always wanna shit on nvidia. Might be replaying this on my 4070, i miss the hacking and slicing.
Don’t believe those people in hardware unboxed, they are so bias and I unfollowed them.
