    Seeing your kiddos sitting on the counters makes me so happy 🤗 I grew up being allowed to sit on the counter tops while my mom cooked and cleaned. It became such a hangout spot for my 4 sisters my mom and I. Then any time we had friends over. Sadly once my step dad lived with us he didn’t like that and we were not allowed anymore. But there were So many fun memories made doing that! And my son just recently climbed up and sat there while i was cooking and i was thrilled!! So I approve of the counter sit 👍🏼

    it makes TOTAL sense to me to organise your fridge, I can't stand living with people who don't - I've been doing it weekly or biweekly for years at this point and it's the only thing getting me through tougher periods in life, just not having to stress about food I have at home

I cant get it to my head, HOW in the world, you have so much time and patience to do so much kitchen stuff with 5 of these - without ruining your kitchen or meal or nerves.
    I want to enjoy these things but every time i try, it ends in chaos and i could scream and cry.
    Thank you for reading- can anyone relate? Pleaseee

      @RiverRat679 Год назад +1

      you have to first enjoy being in the kitchen. Pick an easy recipe (ex: Indian Coconut Chicken Curry) and learn to cook it. Make this once a week and then you can learn more recipies util you have a steady rotation. By then, you're now a cook :) I find baking is much easier to incorporate the kids in than cooking. You will always ruin your kitchen - that never fails.

    • @sasavs9398

      I think it doesn't make sense to compare yourself with her, firstly because it's a video, so of course she will edit out parts when children are not obeying so even if she had the same problem as you, you won't see it in the video. Secondly, children have different characters and interests - some like to be in the kitchen and can stay focused while helping their parents, because they naturally enjoy calm food preparation, for some it might be distressing and they prefer to play outside/do something more physically active etc. When I was a child, I loved cooking and could easily stay focused, whereas my sister got easily distracted and didn't have much patience (I, on the other hand, had no patience doing sports but my sister did), that's how I know that it really depends on the child's character/temperament. Sarah's children all seem to have a very calm temperament.

    I hope everyone watching realize this is not normal. This is not the level of organization that a normal mom can or should have in her kitchen. This is the level of a full time profession chef. Sarah therese is a full time content creator who supports an entire family with the money she earns. She prioritizes content creation in her day to day, over childcare and other activities, because her family depends on it, while her husband takes care of the children and rest of the house. Please do not compare yourself to her and feel this is how your kitchen should be.

    Can you discuss at some point how you do all this with children around? How do you keep your house and kitchen and meal prep so perfect, and have all this time to yourself, with 5 little ones to take care of? I'm trying to do it with 3 and I can't do any kind of meal prep or work in the house without constant noise and interruptions from the kids. And most days I don't get much done other than the meals and some tidying up (with the kids). You must have help to film these videos. Please make this relatable for the rest of us by showing us how you would do it all if you had all your kids with you the whole time!

I have 4 kids and I'm in the kitchen a lot and they come and talk to me and ask to help sometimes but they're usually nearby playing together, pretending, coloring, whatever.

      Remember that it's just a short video where she can edit out parts if she looks stressed/irritated + children have different temperaments and interests - some are very calm and obeying which Sarah's children seem to be (at least what we see from her IG and RUclips) and of course it's easier to handle calm children and do things with them in the kitchen.
