P.S.: Instead of returning to west point for water, you could just drink from the river, if you find lemongrass you can negate the queasiness you get from the river water.
Or just boil the water on a campfire
i think you can just drink from the river and be fine, though drinking from puddles and other water sources directly can kill you

@@sylvo1057Agree. Searching with a low level has you scouring forests and finding worms and twigs.
@@I_Ate_Assman not even that, there are literal tiles that begin to appear in your world that have rocks and sticks on them. You can’t pick them up, but I’m pretty sure they affect the chance you’ll actually find rocks and sticks on them, same with tiles that have those small bushes on them, I think.
Which is fucking stupid.
At 29:05 while trying to make the wall, pressing 'R' will cycle the tile placement and allow you to build from the inside. So there's no need to make a foothold outside to complete the wall

I love the idea of someone walking into the area around the base, thinking since they were in the woods they would be relatively safe only to come across a huge horde of zombies lost because some pacifist lured them in there before abandoning them.
a fun challenge could be acting like you know or hope there is a cure in sight, so not killing a single zombie AND gathering them all in a stadium or something. Like, systematically gathering as many zombies as possible in one closed off location.
Biggest problem may be lag.

You know, I actually wouldn’t mind a video where the goal is to just build a really cool base in the woods or something, and have that just be the primary focus of it. I have no idea how enjoyable that would be for you, but if it’s ever something you feel like doing, I think it would be really fun.

Heh its funny, once you started your epic base building only interrupted by needing food and drink I kept saying to myself. "Why doesnt he build rain catchers and do some spear fishing? Is it to avoid making the series a boring grind?" And then thats what you did for the last couple weeks because there was nothing left to do. :p That was pretty wild. Its always fun to watch an experienced gamer just utterly obliterate the game through surprising skill. Being able to avoid killing any zombies the entire time just from kiting skills (and general map knowledge) was impressive as heck.
After day 100 you should get all the weapons you can possibly reach, pull as many zombies as you can to the bridge, destroy the bridge so that zombies can't cross it any more and begin the process of 'curing' you pacifist character :D Would be a great shooting range with post on the 3rd floor!

Yo, cereal is amazing when you want to immediately start gaining weight and it's super plentiful (if you have trouble finding butter or lard).
I was literally just talking about this last night. I figured, hey after 200+ hours of dying before day 30, maybe I should just try a pacifist build and always run and hide, since I always die from a bite from a dumb decision of mine
Unironically, what a great simulation of why animals of all shapes and sizes will opt to flee even mildly dangerous threats rather than fight. Being passive and flightey is boring in a video game, but really ensures longterm success for most species. A small mistake has terrible consequences, so minimize the chance
I love the place where you set base at the beggining, I'm currently building mine there
Sometimes i forget i play with 2x spawns and my jaw just hit the floor when you sauntered through streets i would have to bite scratch and claw my way through.
If you're doing spearfishing just do it during Real Fishing Hours (4-6:50 am, 6-8:50 pm) until you hit level like four or five
You don't need to platform out when the wall won't craft from the side your on, if you press R (or your rotate button if remapped) & you'll be able to build from the same side you're on
Turns up heli events just to entirely circumvent them w radius mechanics I'm wheezing
Also you should be able to pull dirt from the patches you dropped at base. Once you've put one tile down, it changes the terrain of that tile, and so ultimately becomes and infinite resource for more dirt.
Excellent work, understandable that it became a bit of a drag towards the end. I'd suggest perhaps keep the save and at some point do a shorter base building vid starting from what you created here.

There's a house in west point that it's shed always spawns a antique oven...straight down the road from the police station on the corner by the turn. Shed has a regular door and a window it's a bigger shed than a garage per say

Fantastic run... I have one question though.. where did you get the nails for that base? You'd need an unholy amount for something that ambitious.
You can find nails by disassembling many pieces of furniture, in boxes in hardware stores on their shelves or in crates.

You can speed up the game to 2x with move to command. Actually saves finger strain overall

im new to PZ and i have around 30 hours atm but i was wondering, could you run claustrophobic with veteran? does the trait not show up as an option or is that a really smart thing that i just thought about? obviously veteran gives -8 but its still a good idea to lower your points
